Starting this one late but still wanted to document this one. All my nutrients are suppose to be tbsp/gal of media but they don't have that option. This week I transplanted into its final 7 gal pot and she will hopefully be flipped in 3weeks but that's all depending on my other plant. I just worked on lst this week keeping canopy flat. I have topped twice abs l and will be topping 1 more time pretty soon. Really looking forward to this flower
Just another week of lst and watering. She came back strong from the topping and the trim back. Now I should have plenty of tops to fill my 3 x 3. I think I have 30 to 35 tops now that I topped for the third time. The plan is to finish my plant that's flowering then veg this one into a Scrog net. Then lollipop and top dress wait a week then flower. Hopefully my plant will be finished in the next week or 2 so I can start flowing this one
Another strait forward week of veg and she is now starting to put out new growth since I topped it. I love how the plant is looking so once I put it in the flower tent I will be using a Scrog net and spreading it out before flower. Really looking forward to this flower.
So I cleaned up the tent and I put the new plant in the tent and set up the scrog. Looking forward to this grow because this is my first scrog grow and now that I have a 4 photos under my belt I get how to utilize it now.
This week be the last week of veg before I flip her. Last night I spent the time and defoliated all the bigger leaves and spread out what I could. Over the next week I will be training and watering. Till next week
This week I sat back and watched her grow since last week I defoliated heavy. I tucked a couple more tops just to keep the canopy even but I wanted the plant to get a little bit more vertical growth. Today I will be flipping to flower and I will be setting up a second scrog net to further train through the stretch to fill the rest of the tent out. I also am hopeing the scrog net supports the buds so they don't flop over on me this grow. The next week should be fun watching her go into flower. Till next week
This week I did some defoliation and weeded out the lower sites that would be larf. She is looking healthy and stretching well. Now that I did a good defoliation I can just let her go and probably will do the last defoliation in 2 weeks. Till next week
Not too much happened this week and was hopeing for more of a stretch but it's looking to be slowing down already. My plan is to wait till the end of this week and do another defoliation before I let her go. My goal for this plant is to hit at least 8 oz but I also want the quality to be there. I think I have pretty much done everything I could to my ability so I'm hopeing for some thick buds. Till next week
Yesterday I spent an hour going through the plant and cutting out any beaches that aren't making it and leaves that were crammed in the middle. She needed a trim really bad because ask the leaves get stuck in the scrog and then block bud sites. Other than that she has been drinking a little over a gallon and a half every 2 days. I will be top dressing at 30 days so she can finish strong. Till next week.
This is always my favorite part of the grow because most of the hard work is done and now I just get to watch her finish. The terpenes aren't strong yet but I have a feeling in a week or two that will change. I did get a bit of tip burn which I think is because I have top dress this one heavy. Figured it was a big enough plant but I'm going to move up to a 10 gal for my next grow to see if it helps keeps the roots happier. Till next week when things get bigger and frostier!
I learned alot this week as I battled this magnesium deficiency and that is why on my next grow I'm going to a 10 gallon. I think depending on veg time (which this plant was 80 days) with living soil the pot has to be bigger when vegged for longer. I also didn't put as much food as I should have when I transplanted because I'm used to growing autos and they never need much food and I forget how hungry these photos are. So when I top dresses on day 24 I think I was a little behind on feeding but next time with a 10 gallon i should make it to day 30 no problem but we will will see. The leaves are starting to turn back to green but idk if some of these top leaves will turn back. Looking at the buds I think I just caught it in time for it not to kill my harvest. Buds are feeling nice and dense and smelling like an orange Creamsicle. Till next week hopefully she greens up more!
I am really mad at my self for this one but I guess this is how you learn. Allot of the bottom leaves greened up and the tops didn't charge much but I don't think they ever will. At this point in just trying to ride it out because I feel if I just keep hitting it with nutrients it will be worse. So it is what it is but next time I will be adding more glacial rock dust. Till next week!
This week I went around and took off some of the leaves that are looking pretty bad but at this point I'm losing the war. I did since terp tea as a last ditch effort but I just can't get enough food to the roots using my organic method. Next run will be in a 10 gallon so I hopefully don't run into the same problem. I also will be going heavier with the glacial rock dust specially if I run a barneys farms strain again just seemes like they eat allot of it. I still can't get over how much food they need because with my autos I go way less with the food and I don't get deficiencies the entire grow. Learning every grow but I think I can say I got my canopy management almost down and I'm loving the scrog nets. She will be close to harvest next week and will start checking trichomes on day 56. Till next week!
This week I have slowly started to cut the dying leaves off and let the buds get some more air. I'm surprised even with this deficiency she is still bulking out in these last weeks. She is going to go another week because trichomes are milky with a couple clear with a little amber on the leaves but not buds. She is looking to finish strong and I think she will put in some more weight this coming week. Hopefully next week will be harvest time because my next plant is getting too big in the veg tent. Till next week!
Even though I did mess it up at the end everything still came out pretty decent in the end. She is smelling like an orange Creamsicle and is definitely one of the best smelling plants I have had. Overall I learned allot on this grow and this was my first scrog grow and I loved it. She sat in 72hrs of darkness to finish drying out in the pot. The amber on this plant came out of no where and that's why I decided to chop because I hate too much amber. Till the next grow!
good thing about barneys genetics is they can take the worst of what ever happens to them and still can bounce back. with this cultivar in particular it is extremely resilient as I have had the same issue with nutes. but that's because I was using pre amended soil and that with adding your own nutes its hard to determine how much is needed without the proper tools, the soil tester is something I should invest in HAHAH would save my ass I bet.
gl on your grow dude she looks amazing so far!
