60x60x120cm tent. Basic cheap one not sure what brand, if any. 200w CFL for veg, and a 250w HPS for bloom. Gonna continue with biobizz and maybe a couple of other supplements later down the road. Soil is biobizz allmix. Says pH ready so no need to adjust. Hopefully that's right!
Good week, all seeds have popped. Only given them the initial watering of 500ml each, gonna give them another 200ml each today probably. Temps are nice under the CFL, but when I plugged in the HPS to test it, they skyrocketed up to mid 30s. May have to get a more powerful fan when flowering starts.
Continuing to grow nicely. I tried the new 250w HPS I bought for a day and my temps shot up to 40 degrees c so gonna stick with the CFL lamp and supplement it with a couple more smaller CFL bulbs.
Growing steadily along, definitely reaching for the light though.
She is very nice, no bad signs from what I can see so hopefully that will continue.
Started on the Biobizz grow 1ml per litre on day 24. Continued with the LST on day 25.
This one has become the biggest of the 4 I have going at the moment. Possibly from the critical mass genetics, but idk lol. On the Biobizz grow now. Responding well to lst IMO, seeing a few tops now.
First one to flower. Did quite a lot of defoliation and plant looks healthy still. Ramping up the Biobizz nutes no signs of burn yet. Definitely the biggest of the four right now. All of the tops have been tied down to keep the canopy as even as possible. light smell ATM, hoping it will increase as time goes on.
The fastest one I have at the moment, looking nice. Starting to frost over which is visible in one picture. Canopy is reasonably even, lux seems even all over the plant. Getting very excited for this one!!
24/10
Today I swapped the CFLs for be 250w HPS. it's much colder outside now and temps are steady below 28. Just using a light measuring app on my phone (dunno how
but I wanted a comparison more than anything) the lux on my canopy has gone from 8000-10000 up to 30000 to 35000. What a difference! I also thought that keeping the ballast outside the tent would be a good idea...
Pulled a few branches down to keep them away from the light.
So, this week pretty much just buds fattening. I think there is a problem developing with either pH or phosphorus deficiency. Got a pH test pen on the way so should find out what's going on soon. Leaves staring to look a bit off, but bud growth is solid.
Tested pH and it looks good at 6.9 so I'm gonna increase bloom nutes cos it could be phosphorus or magnesium.
Fastest one I ever seen! Day 57 and it almost looks smokable haha. Lots of trichs visible just a little more fattening to go :)
Cal mag added for possible mag deficiency.
Day 59 - Added a video of the trichomes, a few amber there just a little longer now.
Lots of fattening up this week. This girl is looking fat for such a small plant. Gonna ease up on nutes this next week, and hopefully there'll be a harvest next week!!! Issues with the leaves seems to have stopped after adjusting pH and adding some calmag.
Buds getting fat and quite a bit of amber in the trichs as shown in the video. I keep saying to myself chop it but just a little longer i think. Or whenever i get impatient. Currently flushing with just water.
Grew very fat buds, dried a bit airier than I would have liked but what can you do. Very easy to grow and stayed small as it was only a 5 litre pot. Grams per watt may be a little skewed as I had 4 plants in the same space with separate diaries. Will correct that next time. Still happy with 18g dry.
Wil update with dry weight and more in a week or so.
Might have chopped a little early but it is what it is. Still should do something right? Will add trichomes shot from 23/11 soon. Lovely deep smell to it and sticky as anything. Drying in a cardboard box wrapped in packing paper in a wardrobe. Hopefully it won't dry to quickly there and I will turn the buds daily. Updates to come.
Buy yourself some biobizz heaven and fish mix. Use fish mix half and half with grow. So 0.5 of each per liter atm. If your using biobizz all mix soil aim for your ph around 6.2-6.5. Biobizz heaven is expensive but we'll worth it. Also make sure your fan isn't too powerful that can fuck it all up big time If she can't photosynthesize. Let the soil fully dry before watering again. Use biobizz nutes with ever water. Allow some run off and drain that run off (I use a big plastic bin with my plants on top when I water. Drains to that never goes back into the plant). This should save you a few shitty grows like I had.
@SlimJamie,
Sweet, thanks dude. I'll try removing run off from now on haha. Also dropped my ph a little more. 2.5 ml of lemon juice per litre. I have a few fastbuds seeds lined up for next time so I may get some bioheaven for them. Got stardawg, l.a (lemon ak) and c.a (zkittles auto). Looking forward to trying the new strains!
@Ashbash, I've got negative pressure since ive turned my intake off (too cold now) and haven't had a issue just keep a vent or two open. I meant the clip on fans I've just got them and there not too powerful. My last standing fan was bit of a beast, soon as I took it out my plants went healthy. Just checking wasn't same issue.
Lemon juice is how I lowered my ph before I was feeding. Soon as added nutes my ph would luckily be 6.5 and atm on full feed it's 6.2.
Genuinely put it down to the biobizzheaven because I've had 3 crap grows without it having to use loads of lemon juice. But I fully understand on funds. And as to run off if you do have salts built up there just going straight back into the plant when you let it sit in it
@SlimJamie, thanks for the advice bro, really appreciate it :)
I'll try dropping my pH a little more (using lemon juice atm) and I am in allmix. Maybe next time I'll try add the fish mix and bioheaven, bit broke now tho haha. Had to get a carbon filter and a more powerful extractor to work with it. Can the negative pressure be an issue? Or do you mean the clip on fans could stop the photosynthesis? The new fan pulls a lot of air, can see the tent pull in tight. And lastly in regards to watering I try to let it dry out a lot. Go by the weight of the pot, very light pot needs water. Luckily they all seem to have a similar rythym to drinking. I water till a little comes out the bottom and then let the plant suck it back up over the next hour or so. Is this bad?
