at this point, you might not see this - but they are all root bound.
when I changed pots (the next week, like 3-4 days later) I found out that even the little ones are root bound already
Transplanted to final pots. even the smallest plants filled their prev pots already
this pots have like spoon and a half of osmocote in them. and this is overall quite rich soil, so I expect to avoid nutrients until week 3/4 of flowering, maybe some cal-mag.
one of the plants, the biggest and the tallest with the big cola - is a hermi! I'm gonna let her do her thing while I trim as much balls as I can.
it's genetic hermi, as the balls just pop out from anywhere
the plant in right that is closer to the camera is so slow!
everyone else is just happy and growing fast
smell - overall is low
specific smells (trichome and stem rub)
PC#1 (upper left) - fruity/skunk in unique way
PC#2(lower left, the tallest, and the hermi) - skunky in a really casual way
PC#3(upper right) - smell "green". not like cannabis. smell like side-road plant
PC#4(lower right) - smell skunky
Flowering @ Week 5
Some updates:
* PC#1 and PC#2 are hermies. and probably sterile hermies (no pollen found, even in and near open sacks), and no sign of any pollination
* all the plants have been diagnosed with some specie of Fusarium fungus (by lab), I did everything I can to prevent the fungus from thriving, and it seem to work as the fungus does not spread anywhere
Smell wise:
overall intense, skunky
PC#1 fruity and skunky
PC#2 mainly skunky
PC#3 actually smell totally different from everyone, but I can't describe the smell. sweet
PC#4 smell is like PC#1
Grow wise:
night temps are about 17-18 Celsius. yeah a little low but that's to keep the RH low (AC)
RH is never above 55%, and usually float at 45-50.
the flowers are inside wind tunnel with fans all over them, even at the soil level I have 4 fans. so RH is probably much much lower.
PC#1 (upper left corner in the photos, at the end of the tent) - is 100% the frostiest out of them all and by far, seems way more leafy then everyone else, but the buds look the best.
she is hermie.but no pollen found
PC#2 (lower left corner closest to the camera, with the donkey dick) - is by far the fastest to flower and seem like a BIG yielder, look at that donkey dick only at week 5. the flowers on her also mature quite fast, this girl also have slight purple notes on the flowers.
oh and she is hermie. but no pollen found
PC#3 (upper right, right corner) - is weird. everything look different from the rest of them, including the flowers. she is doing great, this pheno seems to be a good yielder as well, but with longer flowering.
PC#4(lower right corner) - is a late bloomer, she threw her first white hairs only at week 3 (!) of flowering, but since then - she is maturing really fast, and would probably get in sync with everyone soon. this girl also have slight purple notes on the flowers
Fertilization:
They have enough osmocote in their soil to avoid typical nutrients, that's an amazing thing for lazy guys like me. all of them are 100% green from bottom to top (apart from the fungus part), and the lighting of the camera make it look not great.
they do get Cal-Mag, at 1-1.5ml/Liter, every watering.
I water every two days until drainage, something like 2.5-3.5 Liters each per 2 days.
I'm aiming for 10 weeks at flower, even 11 if it will seems right, so this is the end of the first half!
after 12 days of drying, they are into curing now..
and for the weights:
- please note, 3/4 of them have some (but not much) seeds, which probably affect the weight -
PC1 - 55G
PC2 - 133G(!!!) (and no seeds in this specific one)
PC3 - 38G
PC4 - 81G
combined: 307 gram.
as I said, we have here seeds, any plant besides PC2 (which was confirmed hermi also) have seeds, they are not full of seeds, It's here and there. but they are defintly affecting the weight.
PC1 was 3 weeks older (in veg) then anyone, have extremely dense buds, but they are small. she have the most bag appeal. and smell sweet. great smooth smoke, feels sativa-ish and fast acting. uplifting!
PC2 is a yield monster, smells like skunky-funky weed thing, great bag appeal and easy trimming. she is a banger, smoke is tough on the lungs but not the throat. she is a creeper and not fast acting, and she will get you dumb. like - can't operate a microwave kind of dumb.
PC3 could use 2 more weeks in flower and hence the yield is low, the whole flower she had a "weird" smell, almost like a side-road plant, just a green plant smell. but she developed a nice lemon taste with skunk notes. she is a smooth smoke, relaxing high, quite powerful but not as PC2.
PC4 could also use 2 more weeks, and man I'm still wondering how amazing she could be with 2 more weeks in flower. she is also a yield monster, she is hard to trim. she smells the most complex and unique ouf of all of them, actually she have a skunky/musty/soil complex smell, and when squeezed she release a piney-lemony-COMPLEX smell, similar to typical SSH but with some undertones of some really smell that I can't describe, smells special. she smokes amazing, not harsh, and the smoke smells special as well. the high is fast acting and the strongest out of all. I have seeds of her! she is also hermi.
also, I found out that all of those 4 plants was hermies. maybe me fault? idk. anyway It's nice because now I just have some seeds of this great genetics. in my country seeds are expensive. and growing hermies is a viable solution for a typical smoker.
in summary: Pineapple chunk from barneys is intresting gentics. not the best I have grown or tasted, but they have some uniquness to the, and with selection I bet you can find amazing cuts. all of them was bangers in the high tho. keep in mind that pineapple smell is not something I smelled here, nor I expect from them to develop. they are pretty far from this.
I was vladimir. hope to grow again. cheers
