The Maui Waui strain (aka Maui Wowie) is a Sativa-dominant hybrid from the Hawaiian Islands that first rose to popularity during the 1970’s. In fact, its popularity grew to the point that nearly all the cannabis that came from the state was given the same name. Maui Waui Strain: Sativa-Dominant Genetics From Hawaii This batch of the Maui Waui strain was the first thing that I noticed on my recent trip to SFVDM in Van Nuys, CA. It had been a few years since the last time I came across this strain, and I was excited to experience it again. In case there was any question, the Maui Waui strain is said to have originated in Hawaii and maintained over the years through selective breeding techniques. Before long, select travelers brought some Maui Waui seeds back to the continental US and its popularity continued to grow. Of course, a batch of the Maui Waui strain found in California or Colorado will be much different than a batch you would find in Hawaii. Not only is the amount of sunlight much different, but the volcanic soil is sure to play a major role in plant production.

I'm using amended soil and a coco coir mix.. Im using grow caps nutrient crystals for her nutrients and ive also added Ash to the medium and will be adding more as she matures This strain is a little different to the others I've grown in the sense that she needs a spacific climate and watering schedule

This one is growing very well and reacting excallent to the soil and Ash

One more inch to go then i will transplant her

Another great strain growing well.. I usually wait to see nutrient deficiencies before transplant

Again no worms just yet but when transplanted into her final pot ill use worms also the smoke is tasty in my opinion when not using bottles nutes

Great budsites on this plant I like it ive now switched her to flowering with HPS lamps

Sorry everyone for the ultra late update due to a smashed phone ugh... OK I put her back into veg after taking the cuttings i needed.. I will be keeping her in veg for a further 5 weeks while I take a few more cuttings

I am sooo loving maui waui my favourite plant to grow to date almost 3 ft tall.. I don't think I can grow her much bigger but I have 3 weeks left or so before her flowering space is free which gives me time to take more cuttings

My Maui Waui Christmas tree with the leaf on top .. Im trying to stretch the lower branches up to the to so that when I do eventually switch to 12 12 they arnt too far away from the light

Loving this plant I'm now using my own natural home made nutrient solution it's watered down worm castings ph perfect and ppm is within 600 and 800 ppm zone as soon as I get my testers I'll know the nutrient ratio and work on it more from there adding in more ingredients as I go

I think it's safe to say my plan worked no more growing vertically by romoving all the leaves responsible for vertical growth

She's moving and I can see bud UPDATE Both plants are under 300w LED and 250w HPS I am now using RQS nutrient tablets

With this plant I want to show that altho I grow short I can also grow big one of my plants in hydro was 5ft 9inches so wanted to see if i could do something big in soil Until I just recently started using RQS flowering tablets I've only used water and worms With my light I'm using a 300w led and a 250w hps I've defoliated her and lolly popped her to open her up

She's looking great buds are joining up nicely she's finally finnished growing now I'll spend this week tieing branches in to position for maximum light

Very very happy with this plant no nutrient booster no nutrient solution or chemicals just worms soil and water

She's looking very good my best plant by far next to Royal gorilla feminised

Now we flush Also I've tied some branches out from underneath ee the higher ones for more light

This strain looks and smells gorgous ill be curing this one for a very long time
