Germination

Im excited on my first rodeo! I germinated the seed by putting it in water for 12 hours, after 12 hours I placed it in a wet paper towel that I had put in a container. I covered it and let it sit for 3 days. Today I came back to check on her and she was huge, with a long tail with little hairs on it (I was so excited that i forgot to take a picture). Anyways, I sprayed with the hose a little bit of water on the soil, made a hole with my finger (a knuckle and a half) and put her right in. Covered the hole and I put a bottle that I cut in half on top of her (I’ve seen this helps to keep the humidity and protect the plant when it’s just now growing). I will come back when there’s more to tell. Side comment: there was some flies and insects in the green house, I hung some fly traps, but I might have to find a better way to set it up so the insects don’t go in it. I’ll start looking into pesticides.

I’m just on the 3rd day after planting, she just now came out of the dirt so I guess I’ll start counting veg stage from here? On day 2 after planting I was scared the seedling wasn’t going to sprout because it was feeling too hot in the greenhouse so I moved around the dirt and found her under a stick (I moved the stick that way she didn’t have to waste energy growing around it when she could just sprout). On day 3 she’s looking strong, her leaves are way darker than they were on day 2, I also noticed she had some purple on her and now she doesn’t… I guess that’s just part of growing? Ps: I changed the little fan I had for a bigger one because there wasn’t much airflow in the greenhouse, I also did some wholes in the plastic and it feels way nicer when you go in it Ps 2: it seems like the fly trap is doing good, but I think I saw some spider mite on the soil, so I’m going to start looking into that Okay, it’s the end of the 1st week since she came out of the dirt… poor little girl. On the day 5 I left her outside the green house taking the sun and my dogs got to her, found her on the floor hiding in the spread soil. one of her fan leafs was cut in half:(… after crying my eyes out I replanted her. Today is day 7, the day I took those pictures and she’s looking strong. On the second set of leafs that’s coming I see a yellow tip, I think it’s nutrients Burn but I’ve heard young seedlings grow out of it. Also, yesterday I fed her 1/2 a tsp of big bloom with 1 liter of water but today I see that one of her first leafs is yellowish, I’m going to only give her water for now on and see if it helps, I thought she might need the nutrients but I don’t want to stress her more after all she has been through this week.

We are just on day 2 of the second week. Her first set of leafs was yellow yesterday in the morning, and later in the afternoon I realized that one of the leafs died. I think this is the consequences of what my dogs did, but on the other hand, she’s growing her next set of fan leafs, and they are growing fast… so maybe she’ll be okay (?). I’ll keep you posted, but if there’s nothing new I’ll see you at the end of week 2. Hey growers! I’m back, this is the end of the 2nd week of our dreamberry… oh lord poor little girl has been through hell. I’m really surprised how strong she’s looking now, her cotton leafs died:(, they basically told me I was frying her with the bottle, I thought it was good for humidity but it doesn’t let her breath so I got rid of them, it seems like it’s working… on the other hand her second set of leafs that’s coming out looks good, she looks a little sad. But she’s looking strong and bigger everyday. I’m feeding her some big bloom of fox farms, 1/4 tsp solved in 1 litter of phd water once a week. And I feed her regular water her soil gets too dry which is like every 2/3 days, she seems to like that schedule, the yellow in her leafs is getting a little better. That’s the end of the second week, I’ll see you guys on week 3rd.

Okay. I've read your diary. Few things mate. With your high temp. Your plants co2 intake will be very high. And its suffering under that plastic bottles. With such high heat you have to have air movement over the leafs. The cotyledons are dying this early. Is not normal. Its signs your plant is struggling. As I said if your outside temp is that high. Now think of a plastic dom. (Like sitting in a car that's been sitting in the sun for hrs with no ac) in this case. She's sweating her bollox off. She needs as much air movement over her stomatas on a molecular level. Co2/o2 bubbles need exchanging on that level As your plant has layers of stomata and needs constant exchanging. I know all about this as I'm growing with co2 in 32-35c that's air temp. Leaf temp is a lot lower. LVPD. As I've many fans that blow air over. Think of them as vents. They need to be hitting peak conditions. At 32c and above them vents are closed, no photosynthesis and that's your outside temp with plastic dom. I don't know how much its used. But, ditch it completely. In that level of temp if you live near woods your ambient co2 level will be low,,as everything green will be working hard to clean your area. So, you need to take advantage. It'll still work hard as you need 29+c for extra co2 intake. Good Growing

Hey growers! Today is the end of week 3 for this dreamberry auto, she had a rough first week, but she’s been doing good lately. She’s growing fast her second set of leafs and she’s looking happy. Nothing new to report whatsoever. See you on week 4!

This is our dreamberry, she hasn’t been growing much in comparison with our polar express. I refuse on giving up, and I’m going to keep taking care of her… at this point I’m doing it for educational purposes mostly. I don’t expect a big yield out of her. She might be so small because she’s in a 3 gal pot? Anyways, we’ll keep going. Nothing else to report, she looks okay I guess… I’m going to keep feeding her and I’ll report next week. I’m sorry for updating so late. I was supposed to do it Monday and I’m just now doing it on Thursday. I’ve been busy i guess.

PS 3: I started a new seed when this happened in case she didn’t make it, I didn’t wanted to grow 2 plants at the same time but if she recovers I will, I put a polar express auto from Autoseeds to germinate so I’m going to be making another diary for that baby too.
