Trying another outdoor grow using bag seeds. I added solar lights to keep them in veg for another few weeks. 12 hours natural sunlight and 6 hours led flood lights. Seems to be working so far. First time trying to make clones. Mixed aloe vera, cinnamon and honey as a homemade natural rooting hormone. So far after a week, 2 seem to be doing ok. I’ll take more clones again this week, then probably remove the lights and have nature do the rest. Wish me luck!

Good week. Had a lot of rain and wind but the girls are doing strong and really starting to fill out when the sun comes out. Got a new grow light and seems to be working wonders. I’m using it at night with the seedlings and still have solar led flood lights on the plants outside to keep them in veg. I’ll be moving my clone, veg and mother room to my new 20 foot shipping container. Going to be going full off grid solar in the next few months.

I’m trying to clone, but I don’t have the correct trays. I’m putting the rock wool plug in a small solo cup cut down pretty small in a dark pot and a plastic cup as a hood. Worried about root exposure to light so I cut some foam and put it around the stem. Will it help?

Hey there! It's awesome to hear that you're getting into cloning. I totally understand the struggle when you don't have all the perfect gear on hand. Improvisation is the name of the game! Using a small solo cup as a makeshift tray and a plastic cup as a hood is a clever solution. Great thinking! And don't worry, you're on the right track with your concern about root exposure to light. By cutting some foam and placing it around the stem, you're providing some extra protection to keep those roots nice and cozy in the dark. While I can't guarantee it'll be foolproof, it's definitely worth a try. Cloning can be a bit of an experiment, and sometimes our DIY methods surprise us with their effectiveness. Just keep an eye on your clones, provide them with the right conditions, and hope for the best. Remember, in the world of gardening, innovation and resourcefulness often lead to fantastic results. So give it a shot and see how your clones fare! Wishing you the best of luck, my friend. May those roots grow strong and healthy! 🌱✨

Great week! Rain is slowing down. I got new racks and sweet led grow lights today. I’ll set it all up tomorrow. Then will cut clones and start flowering the big girls. The ball is rolling and I’m so excited!

First day into flower! I pulled the flood lights last night and finally giving the girls a little more rest at night. I’m going to take clones tonight and pray that they work. So far I’m 0% in my clones taking roots. I got a cheap dish rack that I’m going to use for my dome.

Starting week 2 of flowering with the 6 bigger ladies. So far so good. 16 clones didn’t really work. I’m 1.5 weeks into the cloning and seeing very little roots. I need some suggestions and tips about what to do. The other seedlings are taking off like crazy. Everything is topped and started LST today. Had a small issue with little caterpillars but I manually removed them and been keeping an eye on them. I spray a peppermint / eucalyptus water mix on all the plants everyday. I’ll be adding more lights because the space is getting crowded. Expanding this week.
