Trying another outdoor grow using bag seeds. I added solar lights to keep them in veg for another few weeks. 12 hours natural sunlight and 6 hours led flood lights. Seems to be working so far. First time trying to make clones. Mixed aloe vera, cinnamon and honey as a homemade natural rooting hormone. So far after a week, 2 seem to be doing ok. I’ll take more clones again this week, then probably remove the lights and have nature do the rest. Wish me luck!

Grow Questions

I’m trying to clone, but I don’t have the correct trays. I’m putting the rock wool plug in a small solo cup cut down pretty small in a dark pot and a plastic cup as a hood. Worried about root exposure to light so I cut some foam and put it around the stem. Will it help?

Hey there! It's awesome to hear that you're getting into cloning. I totally understand the struggle when you don't have all the perfect gear on hand. Improvisation is the name of the game! Using a small solo cup as a makeshift tray and a plastic cup as a hood is a clever solution. Great thinking! And don't worry, you're on the right track with your concern about root exposure to light. By cutting some foam and placing it around the stem, you're providing some extra protection to keep those roots nice and cozy in the dark. While I can't guarantee it'll be foolproof, it's definitely worth a try. Cloning can be a bit of an experiment, and sometimes our DIY methods surprise us with their effectiveness. Just keep an eye on your clones, provide them with the right conditions, and hope for the best. Remember, in the world of gardening, innovation and resourcefulness often lead to fantastic results. So give it a shot and see how your clones fare! Wishing you the best of luck, my friend. May those roots grow strong and healthy! 🌱✨

Container looks like it could be a great setup. Dotn waste time with the curtai. Frame a wall with a door way, put some weather stripping in the door jam seal er up good. Works alot better to if you get pests or rot or mold to contain

@@CamboBro, ya man I've actually have alot of friends with 2 rooms in shipping containers framed out with tiers running 10 de hps lights per side. I've been in containers that are nicer then some of my friends homes and you'd never tell it was a container. The options are endless so definitely do your research before doing or modifying anything that cannot be changed later. The amount of $ that you could throw at a container like yours to get it just the way YOU want it can be astronomical to. Plan as much as you can, prepare and aquire equipment over a period of time and it should all work out and very well at that. Goodluck mate can't wait to see what you do with your space and ill be sure to follow this diary! Happy growing, cheers from canada.

@@Billyandbarb, thank you! The only issue with a separate room is getting cold air from my aircon into there. I guess I could run some ducting. I’ll consider it for sure. Would keep the bugs out.
