Repotted to bigger pots (the first seed in a 32L pot and the second in a diy ~24L pot. The first had a few leaves drooping since a couple days, while the second one caught up on the first one in size. The drooping might be due to over-watering?

I made 2 DIY greenhouses with plastic bags. Does anyone know if these are beneficial for this kind of plant? Normally the air is about 22 degrees here and humidity around 65%, in these it is much higher. Does any one have experience using things like this?

its fine for young plants rooting but to much humidity will lead to other issues down the road, cannabis is not a tropical plant that requires that much RH. Issues can be bud rot, mold/fungas on leaves and in soil, that leads to PH swings. With the moisture beading up and falling down onto the plants the sun will then burn the leaves as it acts like a mini manganfying glass outdoors. once they are well rooted cut open some holes then transistion the plants away from the bag fully. fresh air is great for a growing plant. Good Luck!

Due to very nice feedback on this forum on a question I asked about the diy greenhouse I have removed the full cover and made it so it's just a windshield. The 2nd plant is largely overtaking the 1st plant in width and weight, I dont really know why. Also the 1st had drooping leaves which seem to go to normal slowly. About the nutrients: these are only in the biggest pot (1st plant) I'm not sure if that's what slowing it down, less drain holes or something else. I'll add some more drain holes to the big pot to be sure. Finally I bought a pH-meter to measure the pH of my tapwater, turns out it is very high, 7.6+. Will have to look for ways to lower the water's pH.(Looking for free natural ways)

A lot has been done this week. Here's a quick summary: LST- after days of research I've started practicing LST on my plants(I've added a photo with my plan on how to bent them(red line)). pH- my tapwater pH was very high and I had to find a way to lower it.(solved, see nutrients) nutrients- After a quick stop at the garden centre to buy plant ties for LST I also bought a Litre of liquid nutrients, it doesn't have the ideal NPK ratio, but with 7:4:7 it's better than nothing, I think. After using it, I noticed that it lowers pH significantly( 7.6 down to 5.8), if the 20ml is used once a week. Since this is a little too low I decided I'd use it on all my water, but then so that the 20mL per plant gets spread out over the whole week, this still lowered the pH to ~6.3, so perfect. (old natural nutrients are still in the soil) Topping, fimming & breakage- I've also topped my 1st plant and fimmed my 2nd plant, I'm curious if i'll see a big difference. During LST one stem broke off :( and it couldn't be fixed. This will probably add a few weeks to the vegetation phase. bugs & ants- A lot of ants started to show up in my 2nd plant. After googling I found they are attracted to whiteflies and other little bugs, so I bought a repellent spray for those, to fight the cause of these ants appearing. 2 days later now and I'm noticing less ants, I'll keep using it once every 2 weeks during veg.

This upload is a few days late, but here it is. It's been very hot and I haven't been able to water them correctly. The 2nd plant couldn't really handle that, while the 1st doesn't have big problems. Probably because the 1st pot holds more water. I flushed all pots once I came back. Also, I really started watering them less because there were fungus gnats, which were probably the cause of the ants. In addition I've bought repellent for white flies and such.

It's been a little less hot and a lot more humid this week. The 2nd had a little problem with some bugs, I've used a garlic with dish soap mix spray, which seemed to work a little. I also bought neem oil which I will be using next week. LST is going well, one stem broke but recovered even stronger :)

This upload is somewhat earlier to get back on schedule. 2nd plant recovered nicely after flushing & handpicking 2 grasshoppers. I've started using neem oil 2 days ago and since then I haven't even found a single ant or other bug. Looks to be working really well. I flushed the soil with a neem, fertilizer & water mix.

It's been a bit less hot and more humid, but the plants are surviving well. This week I've used a neem oil spray on the leaves and added hydro granules to top the soil off. This combination really helped a lot with bugs, I can't even find any on them anymore. Even the few ants went away. LST is starting to become difficult as the plants are becoming very bushy, I might start lollipoping soon, but not sure about thet yet.

Bad weather ahead, lots of rain an low temps & high humid. Let's hope they'll survive Plants are hanging a bit because I didn't water for 3 days. LST is becoming time consuming, easily an hour a day on 3 plants, but it's also relaxing. I've implemented an automatic watering system for when I'm away with nutrients & neem.

Late upload. Getting really bushy, started removing small branches in combination with a few hours of LST. A little defoliation too. Might do more soon. The cold, rainy and humid weather is not helpful, but they are still growing. Might need a rain shield or some when buds start to develop and the weather doesn't change.

It's been a while, vacation has passed. Still holding up. They had an irregular water supply this vacation and the light schedule is becoming a bit shorter. Nevertheless, there was a lot of sun and the plants have started to flower. :) Very humid and rainy weeks coming up, I am looking for ways to prevent budrot etc. Feel free to comment some tips, thanks.

Did some more LST and removed some small branches that weren't making buds (examples in last picture). Very humid and rainy now, I've got a rain cover for when it storms so it should be fine.

Not a lot of sun, probably going to extend untill end of October. Tops are growing :) Seems like it's having a little nutrient deficiency so i'll make some fertilizer out of egg shells, banana peel and/or bones.

Buds are developing even though there is not a lot of son nor heat and there is rain. Pretty strong plants I would say :) Raincover works for for big rainfalls but have to set it up every time.

Sad news, found some rotten buds, the 90-100% humidity is killing them. :( Had to cut of half of the branches, maybe a few will survive but not much hope, we'll see.

Only a few parts branches left, I guess I don't have to water them anymore, nature takes care. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ There might be a few buds which are still good and should be ready for harvest soon. Funny to see how the 1st has turned purple, but the second didn't.

Hello! I'm new at harvesting plants. These plants have been in flowering phase for ~9 weeks now, the data suggests it's ready in 8-10 weeks. Do you think it wil be one more week or longer? Conditions have not been best for these plants so they might be slow compared to others.

Looks about ready. 👍 But you could keep it a Week longer for a bit more mass/flavor IF you want to. You should also get something to check the Trichomes with something wich enough magnification in the lens. (doesent have to be a microscope just something like 4-8x magnification if im not wrong) Have a nice smoke!

Looking strong! Good luck! Also I noticed you use natural nutrients? Like real food parts right?
Bryde
Brydecommented2 years ago
@FourVentiFarms, not really, I just put in around 10 eggs shells, 10 chicken bones and and a few grams of onion skin. Grinded it first and mixed it in with the soil that's in the big pot before re-potting it to that one. Not sure if this is the best way but I figured it might help. Maybe a few weeks later on, I will grind some more and sprinkle it on the soil.
FourVentiFarms
FourVentiFarmscommented2 years ago
@Bryde,ok and about that, do you have a schedule or quantities, dosage?
Bryde
Brydecommented2 years ago
@FourVentiFarms, Thank you! Yes, these are just your regular food parts you don't eat. I heated them in an oven first to kill bacteria and then grinded them. Finally I mixed it through the soil.

Also made the pots DIY greenhouses with large plastic bags (edit) I asked if this was beneficial, in the helpful question feature on this site, turns out it is not, maybe only for seedlings, but it could harm plants later with the soil turning bad etc. So I cut large holes so it just functions as a wind shield.
