Shogun [First grow]

Not sure what kind of schedule I will be uploading as of right now. Most likely by the end of the week/start of new. Some of the conditions won't be recorded yet, more monitoring/growing equipment will be purchased as time goes on - 06/25/23 8:30pm. The stems aren't shooting up quite as fast anymore and new leaves are beginning to develop. If I like the look of the direction they're going I may start supplementing with 'Grow Big' on week 2 - 06/28/23 8:57pm. I tapped one of the pots when moving them to better exchange light and the plant tipped over inside the pot. had to re-pot it higher up the stem, I'll be keeping an eye on it - 06/30/23 9:56pm. First week has ended and I'm so grateful for how they've turned out so far. No signs [that I can tell] of deficiencies, damage, pests, fungus or anything. We'll be supplementing with Grow Big tomorrow!

Welcome to week 2! I thought that I should start marking the days of watering. We're using supplements now so I will mark each watering with 'W' or 'SW' meaning; Water or Supplemented Water. Thanks to everyone who has been stopping by for a look and for following! We love the community so far - 07/02/23 1:39pm. Most of the plants looked ready for a topping, but not all of them. The recorded temps are averaged throughout the week, we had a couple hot days (~90°F daytime) but they all look great! Very faint smell if you get right up on them - 07/08/23 12:58pm. Found bugs this morning. Went and picked up some Canncontrol and will be spraying tonight when the lights go off - 07/09/23 4:12pm.

Welcome to week 3! The last few plants that weren't topped should be ready fairly soon. Only 2 of the plants have bugs as far as I could tell but all of them will be treated just in case. Insecticide applications will be recorded as ~X. I will apply it as a spray on the foliage and over the top of the soil, the issue is relatively small now so I don't see the need to fully water with it - 07/09/23 7:58pm. The leaves are getting noticeably bigger after topping and supplementing! Haven't seen any more bugs either so far - 07/10/23 7:01pm. I saw a bug or two in some of the pots so I used a little bit more mammoth - 07/11/23 9:20pm. Some of the leaves on the bottom were yellowing and some spots are appearing on some of the more developed leaves as well. I clipped the lower leaves that were yellow, I believe it's most likely calcium deficiency. I added some Pesticide to the water for tonight as the bugs won't go away and I was only doing some spraying on the top soil until now. On the positive side they seem to be overcoming the stress of the topping extremely well and the double stems are growing strong - 07/15/23 8:00pm. ~W - Water ~SW - Supplemented Water ~X - Pesticide

Welcome to week 4! Should be switching to the grow bags soon, I've got a mixture of Happy Frog and Ocean Forest I'll be using although I need more. The soil is a bit expensive so maybe we'll transplant at the start of week 5. The air filter system is on the way and should be set up by the end of the week. I've been periodically spraying the foliage with water in an attempt to wash some of the Canncontrol off as I think it may be stressing the plants a little too much. - 07/16/23 7:42pm. Definitely wanted to start transplanting to the bags (7gal). I only had half the soil I needed but more will be picked up tomorrow and the rest will be moved. I also got some better pictures of the damage on the leaves after trimming them and before re-potting them. After some research, I'm under the impression that the calcium deficiency is from Ph lockout. My water has been a consistent 6.0 when ideally it should be 6.5-6.7. New air system came in today - 07/18/23 8:34pm. I've had a droopy one for a few days now, I was told it was under-watered because the stems were soft too, or else it would've been fully dead a lot quicker. Welcome to Week 5! First; the sad droopy plant from yesterday (07/22/23) was watered later that night and was back to normal when I checked in the morning. I started some LST with the plants that had long enough stems (most of them). They're still growing at a decent pace, maybe a little slow since the transplant to the bags but still noticeable. I'll be getting a scrog net soon in preparation - 07/23/23 10:52pm. A consultant of mine has recommended defoliation, I may consider that in the near future. The Supplemented Water used on 07/26/23 had the CaliMagic as well as the usual Grow Big, but this won't be regular. Maybe once more if necessary but not anytime soon as I want to keep this "mostly organic" - 07/28/23 8:39pm. Did the First Defoliation today, will water later. Welcome to Week 6! The Plants are showing little to no sign of shock so far after the very heavy defoliation and are getting noticeably taller every day - 07/30/23 11:56pm. I was away on Tuesday night so I made sure they were well watered that afternoon. I left the tent closed while I was away and noticed Wednesday night how dry it was, usually I keep the tent open as the plants don't smell too much yet which keeps the humidity around 60% consistently. Keeping that consistency, I usually only have to water every 3 days so far - 08/06/23 12:50pm. ~W - Water ~SW - Supplemented Water ~X - Pesticide

Welcome to Week 7! Watering with nutrients to start the week since I haven't added any for a while and I want more growth before switching to flowering - 08/06/23 9:15pm. Debating whether or not to flip into flower at the start of week 8 or 9 - 08/10/23 10:26am. Flushed the plants last night to start flowering. Turned the lights off as well, to initiate the new light schedule. Removed the strings for LST but it shouldn't be long now before the buds start forming, as soon as buds start to form we'll be putting the net on - 08/13/23 4:40pm. ~W - Water ~SW - Supplemented Water ~X - Pesticide

Welcome to Week 8! Started Supplementing with Tiger Bloom, and have switched the light cycle to 12/12. They spent the first 24 hours of the week in darkness to kick start the cycle. Very early signs of flowering are already kicking in and the smell is getting a bit stronger. Definitely a spurt in height lately as well. Light has come up to a distance of 35" above now 16" tall plants. I've been slowly adjusting the timing of the lights everyday until they reach an on/off time that I can better facilitate, this will also help me take pictures during on time which means no more dark shaky photos - 08/19/23 9:46pm. ~W - Water ~SW - Supplemented Water ~X - Pesticide

Welcome to Week 13! One of the plants I noticed recently has been a bit behind compared to the other plants, but it is budding now. Hopefully this will be somewhat ready when the others are as the whole tent will be converted into the drying room. Welcome to Week 14! I noticed an uncanny resemblance to freshly cut lemons when I got some of the sticky on my hands during trimming. Continual healthy growth and nothing negative so far - 09/28/23 09:54am. Had an Idea for the late bloomer. I was doing some research on breeding and one of the methods of getting fem'd seeds was to let the plant grow. Seeing as how it won't be mature on time I may let this grow outside the tent after it's converted and get seeds from it. Let me know what you guy's think. Minor Deficiency symptoms have started showing up on a few leaves so I threw some of the Calimagic into the fresh batch of supplemented water. Welcome to Week 15! Got a magnifying glass over the weekend to take a closer look at the trichomes. Some are starting to turn cloudy already. When they are ready, the whole tent will be converted into the drying space. Going to get the drying and processing stuff soon. Welcome to Week 16! I was advised to start harvesting a few of the plants that looked ready to my consultant and you will continue to see them slowly disappear until the harvest entry. The drying hanger came in and fits in right over the light. I was super busy this week and the water comes out of the tap at the perfect Ph for some reason so we clean watered all week. The smell was never overbearing, and I had the tent open for a lot of this grow but it still smelled amazing and the experience is unreal. Welcome to the last week! The rest of the plants seem almost ready to go and should come down by the end of the week. After everything is processed I'll upload a detailed Harvest/Smoke report. Net removed today and still using plain water - 10/16/23 10:32pm.

Very tasty stuff with a bubbly giggly buzz, and when a considerable amount is used it gives the most euphoric and genuinely happy mood. I will admit I had done a lot of self reflection and had a few major changes of character after getting blasted with this strain. It is Sativa dominant with little to no bodily high, which is fine but I didn't expect no body high, it almost makes you aware of the pain in your body more but not in a negative way. Wouldn't recommend immediately after the gym but maybe before as it makes you want to move. After sucking down a joint I find it very easy to detail my entire house in less than an hour. I write music and this put me in the zone and has helped me vastly improve my writing/sound design with it's laser focus. One thing I also noticed that wasn't mentioned in the side effects was that it makes me extremely inquisitive. When I had the first smoke I sat for over an hour and soaked in educational videos that I normally wouldn't watch, but I enjoyed it the whole time. It tastes Lemon-y and sweet, an extremely pleasant and light taste! the last few buds are still growing in an attempt to get seeds. Currently have some experimental stuff going on right now but I don't know if it will be as in depth of a diary as this.
