Wedding Cake in a Magical Grow

esayer D 13: Today started to grow faster and actually look like a cannabis plant 🌈 I added some clay pellets for support at the base. Worried there isn't enough air movement to agitate the leaves, might add a small fan in there somehow. Gertie seems pretty happy and her buddy String of Turtles, who has been trying to die for over a year, seems happy in there too.

esayer Gertie seems super happy and is growing really fast! Will double the nutes on day 18. D15: She is super compact. I think she's on the right track and might just be genetics or that she's hydro but is a good thing in a small 2m^2 grow space. Her stem is super sturdy and her leaves feel meaty and strong. She's a vigorous baby and I hope she stays compact! I am hoping to clone her and use LST as she grows. I also want to try and start a different strain and graft onto one plant, maybe for my next grow, since I can only grow one plant per cycle. Might start looking at fast strains as well but doing Black Kush next.

esayer Week 3 of veg! She's pretty chunky and compact, hard to guess when to top. Waiting for the first set of 5 leaves to mature first. She's really healthy it seems, also perfectly symmetrical lol, I'm pleased with this grow box so far!

esayer She's doing great, almost ready to top! Gonna wait to top till she's a little taller. Couple days. Made some clones will see how they do. They are under a couple T5s and are in a cloner with hormone and aerated water. Everyone seems happy! Might not top at all. Getting conflicting advice. Added 7 more days to my grow schedule for veg for now. She needs to get bigger before the switch to 12/12.

esayer I decided not to top after speaking with my friend who is a master grower. The next time I grow this seed I will top and compare the results! Both Gertie and clones are doing great. I read an article that said D42 is the best day to switch to flower on a photoperiod plant, so that's what I will do. One more week of veg! https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8786113/ D37: Decided to top so I did that and defoiled some lowers and got rid of tiny nodes on the bottom. Clones D6 are already rooting and look good! Day 41: Did some pruning today. Removed 3 smaller legs and made them clones. My other 3 clones rooted perfectly and are super healthy! Getting ready for the switch in a few days. Wanted to decongest before she really takes off!

esayer D42: Was supposed to switch to flower today but might wait the whole week instead. She seems to like the LST and the aggressive trim yesterday! D43: Saw some slight nute burn so lowered nutes and changed water. Also doing a week of pre-flower so light cycle is now 14/8 for the week.

esayer D49: Baby is ready for her coming out. Her debutante ball! Took a couple more clones, trimmed most of the little shoots off, left some for future clones if needed. I feel like I understand this pretty well. Limited space, but first grow so just want to be gentle. Thinking about maybe supercropping some clones next!

esayer D63: Gertie is about to hit the lights! Getting nervous!

esayer Looks like we are wrapping up here soon, I lowered the nutes even more to 700 on day 75 just to slow growth since she's filled up the box. Lowered the temp to 70 and trimmed a lot to try and get more airflow going it seemed a little stuffy and humid. Tricomes popped on day 75!

esayer Had to harvest because the 4 main colas got bud rot. Lost about 4 wet oz. Biggest cola was 45g wet. Buds rotted at sites where I bent them over because she outgrew the box. Next grow I will flip sooner, and top 2 times. The humidity in the box was always high, and there is no way to adjust it. I wonder if something is wrong with the dehumidifier? Also the fan in there is very weak. Should have better airflow. Otherwise, I will have made my original investment back with one grow. These buds are very hefty. Can't wait to try the smoke! Will run another of this seed again and try and fix my mistakes!
