So far so good. Trying not to baby these little guys. Used 16 OZ. Dixie cups with peat moss, perlite, and worm castings. Used a syringe to water when needed, the domes help a lot with the moisture. Both seeds germinated well in PH balanced water (6.0), and a few drops of peroxide. One seed sprouted on Day 3, and the other seed on Day 5. Dim lights (200 PPD) / 24" high. Amateur / 1st Indoor Grow.
Surprised at rate of growth, but this is my first indoor grow, could be normal for all In know. My observations on using different soils in each pot so far, is the ProMix only pot is not as tall (10"), while the mixed pot (top layer is Coco Loco, Btm is Happy Frog) is 12", but the ProMix only pot has more volume. Since this is basically my 1st grow, I decided not to top. Feeding only when needed, as of now I'm using 1 gallon of feed water per plant.
I pruned over the weekend. I believe I could have switched to flower phase as I noticed stigmas barely formed last week, but decided to give it another week.
These babies shot up quick! I opened my tent yesterday night to find they rose so high, they hit the light (2x4x5). This tent size was way too small to take to harvest. I got a 4x4x7 coming tomorrow. Some slight leaf burn on the top, but I moved it out the way until the larger tent arrives.
Flushed last week with ph balanced water, and this week I'm back on feed schedule. Note that I used 2 gallons of feed water when needed, and not per 24 hours like the specs says. I typically only feed or water as needed, by sticking my finger in the first inch of soil, but more importantly by the weight of each 5 gallon pot. 25 lbs is fed, anything less than 15 lbs and I feed or water- this is per my experience only using my AC Infinity fabric pots.
She stretched during flower, a lot! This was my 1st harvest of cannabis.
Hindsight and Things I would do different for next grow of ILGM White Widow Auto-
LST or top early. She grew tall, almost 6'
Use ProMix soil. The plant with ProMix yielded fatter buds
Water less (only when needed). As opposed to a schedule, I prefer reading the leaves, or weighing the pot to determine when to feed/water.
Use less perlite, I think I went 1:3 for perlite/soil. The soil caked up a bit, which I think might be to the high amount of perlite I used.
