Week 3 Flower
Girls are looking great! Flower sights are set and are even covered in a light frost already. I did a heavy defoliation halfway thru the week. Now all the flower sites that didn’t see light are developing.
I’m not happy with the uneven canopy with this grow. These girls were so quick to recover from topping and LST, that a lot of the main branches went from a bendable soft tissue to solid, unbendable branches almost overnight. For a scrog grow, this turned into a problem. For the plants themselves, it’s a good problem to have. I need to move the scrog screens closer together so I’m able to tuck the branches before they are too hard to bend. Cutting back on the Kraken in my feed can help this problem too, as it is used to build strong and healthy cell walls. Almost too strong!
Overall, this Twenty20 gear has consistently left me surprised. Good genetics combined with good nutrition has left me with plants that really haven’t shown stress from training at all. It’s almost like they ignore it completely. Even with all the accidental snapping of branches, I have seen no lag in growth.
I will have to add weights to the wood scrog on the next grow. Even with a full canopy I’ve never seen it lifted off the ground.
