Grow was officially started on 6/13. This cut of Lemon Tree Punch is geno 3 from my last grow. I like the taste, look, and yield best out of all 3 I grew so it stayed for one more grow. The soil is BuildASoil 3.0 from last grow that I reamended with some Gaia Green All Purpose.

I went away for a few days and left these girls on autopilot and they recovered from the transplant great. All I did was water them with some Rootwise and Quillaja. I put a few LST clips and topped a couple spots to let the smaller ones catch up.

I had a bit of a heat wave this week and they started showing some signs of heat stress. I added an AC to the room at the end of this week to get the temperature and humidity down a bit. I continued to use the LST clips and defoliated a bit as well.

This week I just let the plants go. Towards the end I fertilized with Gaia Green All Purpose and killed the cover crop and then added extra soil I had sitting around on top. Temperature is much more manageable now that I got the AC running.

Continuing vegging and keeping canopy flat with LST. I also did a big defoliation as it was getting a little cramped in there and I plan on flipping to flower.

Starting to see some buds popping up now. They are also stretching a good bit. My last grow, they stretched about 12-14 inches so I'm expecting similar results here.

Buds starting to get bigger and stretch seems to almost be done. Next week I'm gunna do a big defoliation because the canopy is just too dense.

8/10 - 8/16 This week was a massive defoliation to get some better light penetration. I also got rid of a lot of lower buds that weren't making the cut. Also got a slightly higher fertilizer dosage too.

8/17 - 8/23 Flowers are starting to get nice and big. For some reason two of the plants that had some of the browning on the fan leaves is starting to spread.

8/24 - 8/30 This week I fertilized again and that's about it. For some reason, 3 of the plant's leaves have been drying out and getting crispy. I'm not sure why and thought it might be a light intensity issue and I lowered it down from 1100-1200 ppfd to around 900-1000 ppfd.

8/31 - 9/6 The burns only getting worse, light was lowered even more to 850-950 ppfd. At this point I don't think it's a lighting issue.

Grow Questions
BMGenetix
BMGenetixstarted grow question a year ago
Does anyone have an idea what happened to my leaves? They are trying up and burning for some reason but only 3 of the 7 that are in the tent. They are all clones from the same mother plant. At first I assumed it was too much light at 1200 ppfd but dropping it didn't help.

This is potentially really bad... gently pry somem bud apart between calyxes so you don't cause too much damge. look underneath where leaves are dead. is there any grey or white fuzz there? if so you have an infected plant. throw it out. get it away from the rest of your garden ASAP. leaves will also pull out incredibly easy - can try that first. even so, i'd inspect under the buds along stem anywhere the leaves have died like that. sure it could be nute-related, but such a thing is not sugar-leaf specific, so i'd be worried about disease from this picture.

9/7 - 9/12 Unfortunately this was the last week of the grow. I wanted to go atleast one more week but whatever is affecting the few plants started to reach the bud. I think I'm going to chalk it up to some kind of disease as it only seems to hit 3 of 7 badly. A 4th looks like it was starting to do the same as well. Every plant in the tent got the exact same amount of nutrients and water every 2-3 days depending on my availability. I tore into the root ball the day after cutting of the plants that were the issue and all seemed very dense and strong and nothing looked out of the ordinary. I do think that my cloning practice might have been the cause as I use an aeroponic system and these clones took close to a month to have decent roots and even then I wasn't too happy with them. I had issues with the water getting very warm and definitely exceeded 85° from the pump and I only changed out the water after 3 weeks of no rooting. I do believe that this could have been avoided if I did more research into clean and healthy cloning practices. The mother of these guys was also outside when I took them as it got too large for my indoor area and I decided to flower it out this year. The mom is currently pretty healthy so I don't think it caught something from outside but who knows. I'll definitely take this grow as a learning experience and I thank everyone who answered my question.

Overall grow was fine. I won't be continuing this geno of Lemon Tree Punch but I do have a mother of a different one that I plan on keeping for now. It seems my cloning practice gave these guys some kind of infection that seemed to only affect 4 of them. I'll have to keep an eye on this in the future.
