After failing to germinate a seed in a DVD case and wet paper towel once, I talked it through with a local grow store owner. He warned against putting seeds somewhere which could be too warm (over 75 degrees F). Thankfully, three days in a plastic case between saturated tissue actually cracked open the shell. I remember seeing taproot inside the crack so I carefully placed that side down in a peat soil seed starter. A day later and I was surprised to see two sets of leaves. Closer inspection showed two independent stems. I'm not sure what the implications are for the roots here, but this mutation leads me to want to start yet another pot in case something goes awry. Regardless, will give it my all and document the experement here.

The twins have been doing well. Start to get a bit thicker and more rigid. Started training them by just bending each down away from one another. Fan leaves are already throwing shade on undergrowth.

The plant has responded well to getting bent over. Noticed the slightest splotching on the fan leaves and downward leaf curling, so I upped the CalMag and backed off slightly on nitrogen in Age Old.

Seen this before - it's like a dicot plant; should grow out fine and normal - think how humans have twins. most of the time the stonger one will take over and the smaller one will die. I would cut the smallest. Good luck with your grow! I'll follow along

Wow. Never seen that before. They may fight for root space unless they share the same root system. I would wait a week or two, if you have the time, before planting another. Just to see how they are doing. I wonder what would happen if you just snipped one of them? I'm sure someone will be able to shed some light on this better than myself. Good luck.
