Hello grow buddies! After little break here we go again with nfts! 2 Days in glass of water and after that moved into small rockwool, she is rising up strong and we can start count veg next week.
This is contest grow and thanks to Dutch Passions to let me enter this!
Elite Tangie Selection (Tangie x Tangie)
Tropical Tangie is a resinous and potent Tangie cultivar that is easy to grow both indoors and outdoors (in hot and dry climates)
Combining a very high THC level with an XL yield, she grows vigorously and is easy to train/manipulate. This makes her a good strain for SCROG growers, among others
Tropical Tangie has an average flowering time of 8 to 9 weeks. This is a hybrid cannabis strain with a Sativa dominant appearance. She has strong branches and, in addition to a nice full main cola, also produces large side blooms
Her tropical Tangie aroma and flavour is a unique and exotic twist on the traditional old-school Tangie. The scent is fruity and citrus dominant but also has chemical and diesel undertones. Unique and tasty!
First week started well, she is growing but need to wait 1-1½ week when i get my new led and can move plant into nft and other tent.
Day 4: Gave very light nutrient dose like 1ml in 1-2dl water.
She is growing well and roots starting coming out bottom of rockwool. Led is coming next week so i can move into nft and other tent so the real grow can start!
Day 11: FIMmed
Led came and nft is now running! Last time feeding before moved nft i only eye measured nutrients and fcked it hard so it was heavily overdosed with nutrients. Flushed rockwool before nft and now she is healthy and growing well! Next week installing scrog and need buy more nutrients all is empty atm.
Day 17: 15l water, 30ml vega, 25ml zym, 5ml calmag.
She is growing well, more bushy side plant with smaller leaves, looking healthy also scrog installed this week! Next week switching 12/12 lights and preflower can start!
First week with 12hr lights no signs of pistils yet. Looking healthy and very indica bushy grow structure with smaller leafs, not huge stretching yet. Picking few leafs every few days.
Veg phase is over and now lets start counting flowering! She stretching very good and his side net is mostly full. Looking healthy nothing issues. She was very easy to scrog and bend.
Day 36: 10l water, 30ml flores.
She is growing nicely and pretty ok even canopy. Hairballs starting appearing. Defoliated and lollipopped mostly under net. Starting smell little bit already.
Day 1: 10l water, 25ml flores, 25ml cannazym, 5ml calmag.
Day 6: Lollipop and defoliation mostly under net.
Day 7: 4l only water
Looking healthy, stretching is done and buds are starting forming very nicely. Good amount trichomes already even fan leaves. Still picking handfull leafs every or every other day. Very pungent smell already when picking leafs.
Day 10: 10l water, 30ml flores, 25ml zym, 5m calmag.
Buds forming well and she will be real glitter lady if trichomes coming this speed. Very strong smell already when picking leafs buds not so much yet. Its like cloves, cardamon and diesel like. I think i have thrips on soil tent but predators (Neoseiulus cucumeris) ordered and they arrive next week, just to be sure and secure will release some this tent too.
Week 4 flower is done and plant looking healthy and defoliated/lollipopped all what i can under net and weak branches. Buds forming well and are very different looking than usually. Trichome production is epic atm, already near fan leafs have so many trichomes too, cant wait how much there is when harvesting. Smell is starting getting tangie with acidity. Received this week package with (Neoseiulus cucumeris) predators for thrips in another tent just for sure i released them this tent too.
Day 25: 4l only water
Day 26: Defoliation/Lollipop
Day 28: 10l water, 25ml flores, 25ml zym, 15ml pk13/14, 5ml calmag.
Lowered both led to 75w cause other plant had some heat stress but need take hangers off so i got few cm more space. This girl have pretty loud smell and it hits straight to face when opening tent. Smell is like Sour, tangerine with acidness, i tested some citrus/orange gose beer what tasted and smelled almost same like this. I dont think buds forming very big but thats not problem to me, Packed with trichomes already. I tested some lollipopped very undevelopment buds and i was surprised how it hit already just wow first strain doing that, cant wait smoke when its ready! Im full day smoker +10 years so i dont these things easy.
Week 6 flower is done and all is looking good. Buds starting harden and pistils changing to orange, fresh tangie smell evoling more and more. Few weeks still left.
Day 38: 10l water, 25ml flores, 25ml zym, 5ml calmag, 7ml pk13/14.
Day 42: 5l ph water.
She is getting weight in buds and starting to fall over. small size buds but very hard. Drinking less and less water, more hairs turning orange so she is near finish 1-2 weeks till chopping. She smell like very sour citrus what is mixed with orange or mandarin. We dont have tangerine fruits here so cant tell is it similiar. Epic packed with trichomes.
Day 49: 10l water, 15ml flores, 25ml zym, 10ml calmag.
She is chopped at day 56 from pistils. I think its top 3 maybe best trichomes production what ive grew. Very beauty lady with nice orange hairs appearing behind glitter. Not big buds, lets say pretty small sized but quality over quantity. Smell is like orange/mandarin with sourness from citrus.
Better information in harvest report when dried and tested!
Thanks to Dutch Passion to let me join contest! Review is honest opinion anyway. Strain to recommend for fruity lovers! She grow more short bushy indica style in veg but stretched well in pre flower and looked more sativa style now. Buds was pretty small size but packed with frost and delicious fresh orange/mandarin with hint of citrus sourness. Activating, happy and easy laughing head high.
Veg:
- Indica style short bush
- Eeasy bend to scrog
- Reacted well to FIM
- Leafs was small size (less shade)
- Stretched well and showed her sativa side more.
Flower:
- Small sized buds but hard rock.
- Good bud to leaf ratio.
- Leafs stayed small, maybe smallest what ive seen in hydro. Not bad thing though.
- Beauty green, orange, glittering colors.
- Smell was straight from fresh orange/mandarin juice where is mixed little bit citrus.
- Harvested day 56 after few pistils.
Smoke:
-Potency: 10/10. Activating, uplifting, ceative, little bit giggly head high maybe its going little bit body too but not much. Giving some munchies too.
-Smell: 9.5/10. Still smell after dried fruity orange/mandarin with hint of citrus sourness.
-Taste: 9/10. Fruit very similiar what mandarin tastes and it give same aftertaste than you eat some yogurt, sour cream. It taste in mouth pretty long time too all maybe not like it.
-Yield: 7/10. 100gr from 1 plant.¨
-Bag appeal: 10/10. Beauty hard rock green buds with orange hairs and glittering to mile away.

@HippyHemulen, Oh well, thats the fine line we should be walking while trying to give just enough light to not roast em 😂 The greed is real haha! But i'm sure these girls will be absolutely 🔥🔥🔥
@Herbie101, Thanks! Actually i think light stress only cause light is only 25cm from top buds and temps are 23c. Smell is def mouthwatering and pretty strong at this stage flower. Potency was epic too at his age what i wrote week comments. 😋
