It's been 10 days since this girl broke soil. I have been keeping the soil moist around the seedling, watering 6-8 oz per day, sometimes less depending on the soil moisture. Environment has been good. My pulse hub tells me my average VPD is 1.02, average temp 81.7 and average humidity is 73.1 but that isn't right at the plant so it could vary slightly. I just raised my par to 500 once the second set of leaves came in.
Started to notice some yellow spotting on the lowers, moisture has been 33-36% based on soil sensors. Could b the coco coir substrate not being washed adequately, which could add salts and burn the plants or could be unfinished wood in the compost that is robbing the plant of nitrogen, I will monitor the reaction from the plant.
First pistols. showed a couple days ago so week 3-4 right on time. I am excited to see the growth spurt in the next 7-10 days as this plant looks so small in a 20 gallon container. The daily foliar feedings of aminos seems to have helped. her through the lack of nitrogen deficiency in the soil.
Top dressed once I saw the white pistols. Did some LST to open top bud sites, raised the par to 984. Been adding the Bio Phos to the feedings along with the aloe and coconut water powder.
Starting to see some brown spots, could be boron, could be nutrient burn or could be a fungus. No powder substance (spores) on the leaf or on my finger after rubbing the brown spots, so I doubt it's a fungus, I guess it could be a calcium deficiency. May feed some liquid kelp. Will update as it develops.
