Hey everyone, Hope all is well, it's been awhile but it's good to be back. All our plans changed because we bought another house and we're revovating the whole thing, so no holidays this summer, maybe next year😏..
Anyways, back to the important stuff, I planted 6 auto seeds directly in the dirt, under a dome, in the greenhouse, and 4 popped. Two Pink Grapefruit from ShortStuff seeds, one Original Skunk from FastBuds and one A.K 2.0XL(tri-leaf) from the Ganja Farmer. Not to sure about exact dates, but the beginning of June is where I'm leaning because I used a heat mat under the dome and I had to have a heater running in the greenhouse just to keep it above 15c at night. I have the inkbird plugged in and set so the fan comes on when temps hit 21c and these girls have just taken off and are loving life and growing like crazy💪.
First time for me, starting autos outside directly in soil, I didn't soak them overnight or put them in papertowel, just directly in soil in little containers and watered with Seed and Root from Dutch Sciences for 10-12 days after they popped, then transplanted( with a sprinkle of Great White on the roots) them into 5gal. fabric pots. The soil I used was Sunshine mix #4, some worm castings, some Dr. Maryjane beneficials and some Gaia Green 4-4-4, then fed them just water until they started to flower. Once flowering began I started using Bloom Baby Bloom from Dutch Sciences with a little Cal-Mag(D.S), then I added some organic Bloom Booster from Big Cannahuna nutrients after flowering was well established, so far so good!!!
I hope everyone is having a GREAT SUMMER👍. Smok'em if you got'em!!!!
Hey everyone, hope all is well, Everything is good here. The weather has been decent, lots of sun and high temps of 30-35c in the day and 15-20c at night, got some rain yesterday, first time in a couple weeks, it was getting really dry so it was good to get some moisture in the ground and to help with some of the fires that are close by.
All the plants are doing amazing, the stretch has finally stopped, their in full flower mode, loving life and getting super sticky😍. The only one that doesn't smell is the Original Skunk, but the other 3 have a super powerful lemony, citrus smell, hits you like a punch in the face when I open the greenhouse door first thing in the morning, gotta love it!!! As far as food goes, I'm giving strictly water twice and then food, with this heat I've been giving 2-3 liters of water everyday and on the third day I mix in the feed, Bloom Baby Bloom(Dutch Sciences) at 5mL/L, Big Cannahuna Organic Bloom Booster at 1mL/L and I use Cal-mag at .25mL/L (Dutch Sciences) once a week. I made a couple mistakes in the last post, some of the pics were mixed up and I said that I was growing in 5 gal. fabric pots, actually the plants are in 3gal.(12L) fabric pots, I got it all sorted out and everything is good to GROW!!!!
Thanks for stopping by the garden👊, see you in a week with another update..
Another week of amazing growth, Crazy!! I've kept the feed schedule the same, two plain waterings then one with food, they've slowed down on their intake a bit, but their still drinking up a gallon(4L) every two days except for the A.K 2.0, she drinks a gal. every three days.Starting with the A.K, this plant got pretty big, around 3 feet(90cm) tall, she's super sticky with a very lemon/skunk smell, biggest one that I've grown so far, very happy with this plant. Pink Grape Fruit#1, topped this plant just before flowering started and used some plant benders to spread out the branches a bit, she stayed short and compact, around two feet(60cm) tall with some very nice rock hard buds that make you sticky right up to your elbows😉 as soon as you touch the plant. The Original Skunk, this plant got huge, over four feet(120cm) tall, the bud size is a little behind the other three plants but it's catching up very quickly. She's not very frosty yet, but the smell is very sweet and a little bit floral, kinda weird for a skunk strain but I'll take it. We have a ways to go so the smell might change a bit, was really hoping for that strong skunk smell. Now, Pink Grape Fruit #2, Amazing plant, a little over three feet(90cm) tall and well on it's way to producing a foot long(30cm) main cola😋, It's stinky, sticky, very healthy 💪 and loving life in the greenhouse, one of my nicest auto's so far, couldn't be happier. All four plants are doing extremely well, they have some minor bug damage(flippin' grasshoppers), but nothing to worry about, the temps have been going down a little, highs of 20-25c during the day and 10-15c at night with a bit of rain in the last few days, but the forecast for the next few days is looking good👍..
Thanks for stopping by the garden, Smok'em if you got'em.
Another week just flew by, I've been really busy with the renos to our new house, every room is painted except the kitchen which we primed today, paint tomorrow, new cabinets and counter top should be in next week. I framed all the walls in the basement, laundry, two closets, bath and spare bedroom/GROWROOM😀 and had the electricians wire everything and give me a dedicated 20amp receptacle in the growroom, no worries about blowing any breakers 👍and I get to hang drywall this week sometime😵. Can't wait to get everything set-up and get some beans planted again, hoping to start at the end of Oct. beginning of Nov..
All four plants are doing AMAZING💪, the buds all have a thick and sticky layer of frost, the smells are incredible and the growth is noticable everyday. A few of the leaves are starting to change colour a bit, so the end is in sight, probably a few weeks left before I harvest these plants and I'm thinking the Shunk will be last.
Hope all is well, Thanks for stopping by the garden👊👊.. Here's a few pics.
So, I found some mold this past week😡, not much I could do about it, chopped out the mold, let the plants dry out and harvested a bit early😵. I still ended up with some very nice herb, super sticky with a very almost overpowering citrus smell. Sorry I don't have any weights because all my stuff is packed away, even my drying tent is in a box somewhere so my herb is hanging in a closet in the basement drying, the whole house smells GREAT!!! P.G #1 had the most mold, I had to chop off a good 1/2 ounce probably, P.G #2 didn't hardly have any, just a few little spots here and there, we checked very carefully and probably cut out a few grams😑.The main cola on #2 was really big (right around a foot long 😍), just not very dense, kinda leafy, but loaded with frost and the mold was near the bottom so not much harm done.I'm a little disappointed but it coulda been alot worse, so live and learn and try try again!!!!
This plant was a pleasure to grow, very easy, started off kind of slow and then took off and never looked back. 0 mold, 0 deficiencies, 0 troubles, this plant grew rock hard dense nuggets on the med-lrg to lrg size with a ton of sugar and a very weird floral smell, not bad just kinda weird. Overall I'm very happy with this plant and will definately grow again outside, it really seemed to thrive in the greenhouse with all the temp. fluctuations and humidity changes, this plant loved life from day #1. She's hanging in the closet, drying will take 8-10 days I'm thinking and then I'll let you know how the smoke is with a little cheater puff before it goes in the jar for a month or so.
Thanks for stopping by👊👊..
Smok'em if you got'em..
Hey everyone, hope all is well.
This plant, the A.K 2.0XL from the Ganja Farmer is growing strong, still really green with not alot of fade happening yet so I think she'll need a least one more week possibly two.
She's staying very healthy so far without any major issues. Had some spider mites that I noticed last week so I chopped off the infected spots which were very low on the plant, down near the bottom on some of the smaller buds and then I sprayed along the bottom of the plant and the pot with a vinegar-water solution and they seem to be all gone. The plant smells like you just peeled a lemon and if you touch it the smell just clings, so don't touch your plants and go to the grocery store, people notice right away😬..
Super sticky and very smelly👌, not very dense, but I'm thinking that was because of all the temp. and humidity fluctuations from growing outside in the greenhouse.
This is my third time growing this strain and it looks like it got better every time. I'm really happy with the way this plant grew, especially outside, lots of varibles in the greenhouse and she took them all in stride, didn't skip a beat and produced some nice buds .Big shout out to the guys/girls at the Ganja Farmer for supplying the seed for this post, I highly recommend this strain and if you like a good sativa, give it a try!!
Thanks for stopping by the garden👊👊.
All plants are harvested and in jars except for the mystery plant and a couple of King Tut photoperiods that I have growing in the greenhouse which are about half through the bloom phase.
I'll be missing in action for the next while, not to sure when I'll be back because I'm moving this week and trying to finish the renos at the same time, everything takes a little longer when we're doing everything by ourselves 😵. Hopefully by the end of OCT. I'll be ready to start posting again with a few new strain, hope everyone has a great fall!!
Lovely garden and plants ...all of them 💚🍅💪
i just wasted 11 perfectly good seeds from three different breeders although I did soak them in water glass for 24+h just after the seeds popped I dropped them in the the medium....only three came out 😱...needless to say I will go back to my old propagation method 😂
@northernMike, 90% is great...that's exactly why I did it, I saw some people planting the seeds directly and I thought to save them future seedlings some stress, but I guess rockwool is not perfect for this method 🤔
@Metatronix,Bummer about the seeds, guess you can't win them all. I've had great luck lately just placing the seed directly in the soil, just takes a little longer, that's all.
I had some seeds kicking around and I dropped a few in all the house plants, just to see what would happen. About a week or so later my wife noticed a little string bean of a pot plant searching for light in almost all of the house plants, about 90% success rate, go figure. I think I'll be planting directly in the soil from now on, just like mother nature intended, that way only the strong survive. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it 😏.
Have a good one!!!
@northernMike, Just like cannabis, the best tomatoes are the ones you grow yourself.. it's such a big difference than the ones you get in the supermarket right😋
@XII_XII_MrGreen, Thanks, That plant is almost a year old, grew in the tent all winter and is still producing peppers, amazing. Same with two of the tomato plants in the garden, I ate tom's from them all winter, gave them a trim this spring and put them outside and their growing like crazy, tons of tom.!!
Smok'em if you got'em!!!
@@Louder,Can't f------ wait😕, but at least I don't have to do the ceiling😀. Nice to frame my own grow space, but I have to down size a bit because I don't have as much room as the old house, so I might be growing everything including veggies in my 5x10 tent,we'll see.
@@Louder, Ya, that's a good one 😂. A couple weeks left to go, hoping she gets a bit more dense, she's a little leafy right now but that's starting to change. One of my biggest mains so far😋, couldn't be happier. Thanks for the luck, plants are doing excellent, drywall for the basement is coming today or tomorrow, 65 sheets😳, just doing the walls, then the suspended ceiling goes in.
Hope all is well👊..
@Coco4CocoPuffs, Thanks Much👊.. I picked all my potatoes out of the 7gal. fabric pots(3 pots) and I ended up with a grocery bag full, not bad for the first time growing potatoes in pots👌. The rest is just about ready, tons of tom. some onions, a few peppers and some good herb which is just about ready to harvest, another couple weeks.
Smok'em if you got'em!!!
@Clutch, Thanks, good to be back and growing again. I'll try and post every Sunday if possible, but I've been really busy with renovations at the new house, kitchen is almost ready for new cabinets and the basement has all the walls framed and ready for drywall, electrician is coming on Tues to wire in some lights and rec.. Closing date is Sept. 15th, so I have tons of stuff to do yet, but all is good, if I'm not 100% finished by then we can live in the motorhome for a few weeks if we had to.
Have a good one!!!
@Clutch,thanks,plants are doing great, except for one, found a bit of mold on P.G #1😡, the one that I topped. I removed it and I'll be harvesting the one plant a little early, the rest are doing O.K!!!
@northernMike, Oh I lost this comment somewhere in the Matrix...Good to hear your family is ok, we had beautiful summer storms this year and where so lucky all the storm stuff passed us by. That beauty is on the other side so destructive...two years ago our village was hit by hailstorm the size of tennis balls, the damage it done was huge, I got a short video of this hailstorm somewhere loaded on Bitchute.
@Metatronix, Thanks very much, to bad about the mold, but there wasn't very much. Maybe next year we'll have a little bit dryer weather in Aug. and Sept🙏..
Had a huge storm yesterday, power was out all day and finally came back on sometime during the night, trees are down all over the place, on top of houses, cars and on the power lines for miles on the side of the hwy. Lots of damage in our little town, but we made it O.K with very little damage, some of the neighbours weren't so lucky.
Hope all is well.
Have a great day!!!
I grew this strain a couple of years back and it did not disappoint, It looks like you even got yours to finish faster than I did. Lol. Congrats Growmie and Enjoy your harvest.
@Mr_Weeds_Autos, Thanks very much👊. It finished a little faster than I thought it would, but once I got that nice fade and some purple colour in the leaves I was taking no chances (both Pink Grapefruit plants had mold)and it was time to chop. The timing was good, nice tight buds and 0 mold👌👌 so I'm really happy with this one, snuck a little test puff before it went in the jar, it was pretty good, can't to try after a month or so in the jar😋..
@XII_XII_MrGreen, Very, not to sure what strain it is? It's growing in a 1gal. fabric pot, staying fairly healthy but it got frosted pretty good the other day so I moved it into the greenhouse to see if it will make a comeback🙏..
