Using freedom farms seedling starter.
Got these two babies from simba seeds looking forward to this grow cause it’s my first time using actual genetics from seed 🤪
Can’t wait to keep y’all updated. Promise not to defoliate this plant too much LOL.
Keeping humidity etc at 70% in a dark space for them to germinate.
Got my little clone tent out for my soon to be seedlings. I don’t know about you guys but I feel like the best way is straight into some soil.
Feels weird to start from scratch again since I had a clone last.
Happy growing friends
I accidentally kicked over one of the seedlings so I made a lil DIY support for it to mend itself hopefully. Still growing fine though hoping the bend will make it stronger instead of weaker.
Had a helmet head with the other seedling , misted it with some water and used some tweezers and managed to get the shell off without any damage to the seedling
One of them is really stretchy cause I forgot I was supposed to put it under light when it first sprouted but covered it up with soil and I’ll put it it into a deeper pot soon
So far so good. Promise not to do too much defoliation on this plant guys lol. I’m just gonna do some LST nothing else 🙏🏽🤣
Seems like they’re growing VERY slowly to me but I could just be too excited.
They’re healthy and I’m not sure why the little seedling leaves died on one of home or if this or normal but seems fine to me.
Started feeding silica, gonna feed them every 7-10 days
Also put these babies into bigger pots, so I can start to see more growth. Thanks for the tips in my questions friends. I got two pots a 11L and 15L wanna see the difference in the two plants with a bigger and smaller pot.
Added some mycorrhizal from rhizz-up before transplanting them into their new homes. I’ve heard good things about it so hoping this transplant won’t cause too much stress.
Transplanted them and started to notice growth within 24 hours I was worried for a sec cause they weren’t growing in the little cups. But now I know - only keep them in there for a week or two.
Only feeding them with water for now. I will continue to do so for the next week or two. Some people say 2 weeks some people say 4 so I’m just gonna start at 2 lol.
Gave these ladies some silica after 14 days. I was supposed to wait 7-10 days but I got lazy LOL. I feed silica exclusively because it says not to mix with calcium etc
I’ve also started LST, this strain is supposedly really stretchy so I’m hoping it will help with space.
They’re beautifully green and so far I’m loving them. I can smell them in the room a bit so I’m hoping they’ll be super pungent.
Happy growing friends 🌎🌱
I must admit LST for me is a lot more complicated than it looks lol.
I’ve been trying to maintain an even canopy but that main stem LOVES fighting for apical dominance.
I’ve feed silica every 10 days. Missed one weeks diary cause I’ve been swamped with work and studying
Been feeding twice a day and keeping on the same light schedule. I did start to notice a yellowing tip on the much more developed plant wondering if maybe that could be from northern toxicity so I tried feeding plain water for one day and it hasn’t spread so I’m guessing that’s it. If you think otherwise please let me know in the comments cause I def don’t want it to spread.
Overall a lovely green plant and it has a lovely smell I kept my tent in my room so I get a good whiff.
I’ve seen a lot of growth this week. Went away for 2 nights so I tried to give them a little more water the night before I left but they’re still looking good.
Been feeding silica every 10 days as recommended. The yellowing tip from last week doesn’t appear to have spread.
I’ve done some very light defoliation on the leaves that were broken or dying.
One of the plants seem to be growing less than the other so I’ve decided to invest in a new light because it doesn’t seem like this light has enough energy for both these plants.
Been feeding then silica 10 days a week as per usual 1 or 2 times a day. Really lovely scent coming out of the tent too!
I got a new light for these ladies cause it was clear my other lights weren’t doing justice. I went with an affordable option which was a Lumii black 600w HPS light. It made the temp reach 44 degrees luckily I checked on my plant about an hour later and they were looking really sad but they were okay once I moved my tent closer to the window. My temps went down to 33 degrees Celsius which is still to hot PLEASE tell me how I can get This down guys 😭😭😭😭!!!
Anyway they were okay before that growing beautifully and very healthy before I got the new light. I can definitely see the different in intensities
I’ve done very little defoliation with this plant. Only taken off the leaves which were dying or not in good shape.
I used my scrog net as well for the first time (properly) and I see the purpose of it now lol really makes that canopy nice and even so I’ve got even light distribution
I did some defoliating on the bottom leaves of the plants and the bud areas where the little buds were gonna be. Kept all the top growth though and also removed all the big leaves that were dying or yellowing
She has been a good girl! Not given me any problems thus far and looking beautifully lush and green. This has been an extremely low maintenance plant.
I’ve never tried Durban poison for so excited to try a strains which originated from my home country South Africa 🇿🇦
Happy growing bestiesssss ❤️
Noticed a lot of yellowing on these ladies over the past 2 days. Appears to be from the middle and the bottom leaves not really sure where it started from but overall these ladies are doing good.
They were suuuuuper loud earlier but their smell is gone now no trichomes yet but I guess I’m ahead of myself 🤣.
Originally the smell of my plants was supper loud when I was using the much weaker LED light during vege.
After getting my HPS light I’ve noticed much larger growth in my plant but while my plants have been in flowering I’ve noticed they’re developing brown pistols without having any trichomes.
I’ve checked and it’s most certainly a female plant - there are very very few trichomes in there but as you’ll see my smaller plant has a lot of brown pistols.
Does anyone know if this is normal or am I just being paranoid ? 😭
Also this nitrogen deficiency is killing me! I added some organic fish liquid (5mls/L) and I haven’t really seen much difference
I also changed the nutes back to the recommended pre flowering measurements (to increase the nitrogen) so basically started adding 0,5ml of grow nutes extra
Defoliated the leaves which were super yellow.
Anyway - never say never. I thought we hit a home run but these ladies decided to give me a lot of stress towards it’s last few weeks
Happy growing besties! 🌻
There’s still a nitrogen deficiency it doesn’t seem like it’s getting better but it’s not getting worse either.
Buds are starting to get some weight on them they’re so beautiful orange green and purple just like the Durban poison pictures I’ve seen.
I’ve been putting them outside in natural sun light for a few days to take a break from the heat of my light until I get a cooling hood.
Happy growing buds (pun intended)
They’re really getting nice and fat , I noticed they don’t have as many trichomes as my maverick grow from bay seeds but that was an auto.
They’ve still got some trichomes on there but not as many not very frosty still got two weeks left though so I’m really hoping they start to produce a lot more. I’m going to flush starting from week 17/18
Also did a lot of defoliation removed old leaves and lower popcorn buds. Also removed leaves which weee taking away light from other buds and did some LST because they were all bunched up together after I removed the SCROG net
Happy growing bestiessss 🌈
I removed all the lathers fan leaves because they were dying anyway and I’ve seen that a lot of other fellow growers do the same towards the end of their grow
These ladies are getting phat! I love it they’re not very strong smelling but have a lovely sweet gassy smell when you get closer to it.
I’ve started flushing as well preparing for harvest
