1-8-23 scratched seed put in water
2-8-23 put seed in peat pellet in temporary DWC
4-8-23 leaves now above soil, SF light set up
5-8-23 leaves open up, diary started
so after her first week shes looking a bit sorry for herself. Shes been under the dome while I play with wet towel to increase humidity. I'll start her on a 75% dose of vitalink week 1 schedule.
She's grown well despite the first few leaves having some weird deformity's. I spotted a sign of calcium deficiency so doubled the cal-mag 21-8-23. on 23-8-23 I removed the bottom node points and the deformed leafs. She's grown well and had 4 good node points so i topped her 26-8-23 probably should have done it earlier.
she respond well to the topping had to do some defoliation. not much to say shes doing well :)
EDIT 3-9-23
I had a bit more time today and yesterday afternoon (Saturday) to think of a plan. I'm less concerned about weight from this harvest and want to learn a bit more about plant training so I've gone in hard with the techniques and tips I've picked up over the last couple of grows.
she responded really well to the topping, defoliation, super cropping, and LST. I had to do more defoliation during the week and swapped her over to flower nutrients 9-9-23. this grow is going well do far i'm hoping for 8 fat colas and a good looking plant. if you you rub her a faint mint smell is already present. i've got high hopes for this grow :)
she's ticking along nicely I'm needing to do quite a bit of defoliation which I'm keeping to little and often. Non of the high stress training seems to be slowing her down.
she's going strong. I've tried to be braver with my defoliation and removal of lower bud sites with this grow, so far this looks like it's gong to pay off she seems to be growing some nice fat Pistils clusters. I'm really happy with how this grow is going. My weather is cooling down a bit now so that should help, although humidity will go up so I may need to fire up the de-hum this week.
she's growing well with regular defoliation to increase light penetration and air flow, I think she's done growing leaves now. I added the carbon filter 1-10-23 probably should have done it sooner she's smelling sweet. I see now the buds are forming I should have taken the "lolly popping " a bit further at least there will be some buds for water curing and edibles.
grows going great, not much to say started her on a week of PK 8-10-23. Definitely going to be braver with the lolly popping next time colas are looking full :) might be a little bit more defoliation for air flow this week then I doubt she'll need more.
so I ran her on PK last week but Thursday night hen toping up the used water i left the valve open so added 15LTR of 50/50 solution to the tank over filling it and dropping the EC from 3.0 to 2.5. Friday morning I gave her the normal mix with Buddy. I think I might have started the PK too early he floods not helped i think one or 2 buds have fox tailed. hopefully the end product will be OK she's smelling good.
I switched back to normal bloom feed last Friday morning and she has been coming along OK pistols are turning. luckily as far as I can tell the fox tailing has only affected a small part of the plant. I started her on finale 21-10-23. She'll be coming down in the next few weeks.
So the fox tailed cola got a lot worse there was a one or two other buds that started to show signs of it. She was on water for the last 4 days I think the finale slows down the ripening process maybe its because they are autos I'm going to give it a miss on the next grow and see how it goes. I've cut her down now so will update the diary when I have some weights etc.
