Hache420 Blackberry Gum Auto - Seedstockers 2023
WEEK 1
DAY 0 | 08/08/23 | 12:30pm, first seed placed to germinate in a glass jar, bottled water on napkins.
DAY 1 | 08/09/23 | 11:00pm, after 24 hrs the seed begins to germinate.
DAY 2 | 08/10/23 | The seed shows a root approximately 1-2 cm. It is planted in substrate and watered a bit, light 24/0.
DAY 3 | 08/11/23 | After one day in substrate, it begins to emerge, still no leaves showing.
DAY 4 | 08/12/23 | 8:30pm The first 2 leaves are already visible, it is approximately 2cm tall, watered about a glass of water, still on 24/0. 12 hours under the TS1000 and 12 hours of white light reflector.
DAY 5 | 08/13/23 | The pot fell from about a meter high, all the substrate came out, I replanted it as best as I could. We’ll see how it goes.
DAY 6 | 08/14/23 | The leaves are still sticking together, I’ve occasionally dropped water directly on the leaves during the day, and I have a plastic cup to help create humidity for the seedling's development. 12/12.
DAY 7 | 08/15/23 | The leaves have completely separated and it looks like a very healthy plant despite what happened, it has been on 12/12 to increase humidity periods and lower temperatures (my TS1000 gets quite hot, and I live in a warm coastal city, I didn’t want to stress it more after it literally ended up sprawled on the floor outside its pot).

Hache420 DAY 8 | 08/16/23 | For the last two days, it's been on 12/12 with the intention of giving it darkness to recover (if I were a plant, I’d want a break after falling, but I don’t know how useful that is scientifically speaking). Starting tomorrow, I'll go full 24/0.
DAY 9 | 08/17/23 | Full 24/0, the plant seems to be handling it pretty well.
DAY 10 | 08/18/23 | After being on 24/0, I started a bit of LST to guide the stem to one side.
DAY 11 | 08/19/23 | 24/0, I removed the LST, it seems that just one day is enough to shape the stem at this stage. It's pretty strong.
DAY 12 | 08/20/23 | It was dry and dead, the stem very stretched, and it was lying all over the substrate with broken leaves. I don’t know if my dog tried to eat it, but I managed to revive it. I raised the substrate level to give the stem more stability and left just a couple of centimeters outside. I watered it with two cups of water at pH between 5.5 and 6.0.
DAY 13 | 08/21/23 | I switched to 12/12 to try to give it some rest and less stress. We’ll see.
DAY 14 | 08/22/23 | Back in shape with the 24/0. We're going all out for the third week since it was put on a napkin to germinate.

Hache420 WEEK 3
DAY 15 | 08/23/23 | It has continued to grow. 24/0.
DAY 16 | 08/24/23 | It keeps growing without problems, 24/0. The substrate is about to dry out completely.
DAY 17 | 08/25/23 | I watered 750ml of water with pH 5.5 in the 10-liter pot. The plant looks healthy, it's on a 12-hour light cycle from the TS1000 and 12 hours of light with a 5500K white light reflector (this is not intentional, it's because I have a feminized one that needs darkness).
DAY 18 | 08/26/23 | It looks pretty good, I don't see the need to use nutrients. I plan to use very little, later on, or maybe I won't even use fertilizers. After all, the soil I use is a rich nutrient combination sufficient for the first months of life. I would like to see roughly when the plant starts asking for nutrients so I can calculate my next seed efficiently. I don't want to fill my plant with chemicals; the idea is to keep it as natural and organic as possible.
DAY 19 | 08/27/23 | The light went out and it only received about 12 hours of light today. I hope it doesn't cause too much stress…
DAY 20 | 08/28/23 | I started some aggressive LST so that the main cola would be completely horizontal. 24/0. I'm giving it a few hours of sunlight. Around 1:00 PM it starts getting sunlight on my balcony.
DAY 21 | 08/29/23 | The LST has been a success, the plant is totally horizontal and seems to be handling it quite well. I only notice a few light yellow spots on some leaves and I wonder if it's time to fertilize… These days that I'm home I can take it out for direct sunlight for a few hours in the afternoon (between 1 and 5 PM). I don't think a few hours of natural and pure light will harm it much. Despite the yellow spots (see photo), it seems to be quite happy. The last two days it has gotten direct sunlight and that will surely help the substrate dry out. When I put it indoors, I will water it again, 750ml of water seems fine.

Hache420 WEEK 4
DAY 22 | 08/30/23 | Looks excellent, it's taking in water well, I haven't noticed any new spots on other leaves.
DAY 23 | 08/31/23 | Still on a 24/0 schedule. One or two days a week I turn off the light for about 12 hours to let the equipment rest.
DAY 24 | 09/01/23 | I have to adjust the LST every day. This plant is growing way too fast.
DAY 25 | 09/02/23 | Despite being all bent over, it looks very healthy, the light reaches the new shoots and you can see the accelerated growth.
DAY 26 | 09/03/23 | I wasn't home, but it's still getting 24 hours of light daily at full power, about 50-60 cm from the TS1000.
DAY 27 | 09/04/23 | It's growing uncontrollably, today I noticed that the substrate was almost completely dry, so I watered with 1 L of water at pH 5.8 and added a bit of fertilizer (G-BLACK GROW 2ml and G-BLACK ROOT 2ml). Let's see how it reacts. I feel like it's time, the plant keeps growing non-stop and I don't want it to lack nutrients.
DAY 28 | 09/05/23 | I adjusted the LST, there are many fan leaves blocking light from the new branch shoots, I bent the fan leaves to one side (seriously, I wanted to rip them off and cut them) but I don't know how well the plant will handle the stress after that. I'll wait to see if I can get them out of the way with LST and let the light hit where I want it to.

Hache420 DAY 29 | 06/09/23 | Adjustments to LST, I broke 2 fan leaves and ended up cutting them off so they wouldn't be there casting shadows. I hope cutting two leaves doesn't cause any major issues; I think I've been too aggressive with the LST.
DAY 30 | 07/09/23 | Despite everything, the plant doesn't seem too stressed. It's still on a 24/0 schedule.
DAY 31 | 08/09/23 | There are many fan leaves that I'm thinking about cutting... I think I'll end up doing some pruning on this plant, and if I don't get the expected results, I'll do things differently with the next seed of this same genetic.
DAY 32 | 09/09/23 | Considering I don't have a controlled growing medium, the high temperatures and humidity haven't been a problem for this plant. I hope it won't be too much of an issue for drying and curing.
DAY 33 | 10/09/23 | I don't remember which day, but I've only sprayed potassium soap in water at 1% (1ml of potassium soap x 1L of water) once during this grow. Maybe later, before it starts to flower, I'll give it another dose.
DAY 34 | 11/09/23 | The plant is still on a 24/0 schedule. Maybe when it starts to flower, I'll turn off the light during the hottest hours of the day to prevent the flower's properties from being lost.
DAY 35 | 12/09/23 | I removed all the LST ties; I'll let it grow without guides for a while.

Hache420 DAY 36 | 13/09/23 | Still on a 24/0 schedule. I check the substrate and it still feels a bit moist. Last time I watered about 1.25 L and it seems to be the perfect amount for this 10L geotextile pot.
DAY 37 | 14/09/23 | I defoliated, cutting about 6 fan leaves to give ventilation and better light to new shoots. It's my first time doing it, I didn't want to overdo it. I opened the plant with new LST ties and there are many new shoots getting important light.
DAY 38 | 15/09/23 | I watered with 2 liters of water at pH 5.9, without fertilizer. Schedule remains at 24/0.
DAY 39 | 16/09/23 | I've noticed that when I water, I wet some leaves that end up burning, I deduce it's because of the LED light, I'll have to buy tools for watering. The plant is very close to the ground and it's hard not to get some water on the leaves.
DAY 40 | 17/09/23 | The leaves have been taking on a lighter green color... I wonder if it's time to fertilize. For now, I water every 9-10 days approximately and it seems to be what the plant needs. I haven't noticed any pest problems so far.
DAY 41 | 18/09/23 | I don't know if it's the plant's genetics, but the edges of the leaves have a different hue (a lighter green). It looks like the serrated edges are starting to fade.
DAY 42 | 19/09/23 |
