Red Hot Cookies Fem

Hey now, hope everyone is having a great weekend. Good week for the Red Hot Cookie, she is probably the smallest of the 5 strains, but she looks green and healthy, Day 3 from getting wet. I did start prepping the Coco Coir today by flushing down to .4 EC and then soaking in water with an EC of 2.0 with Cal Mag and a PH of 6.8. I will let it soak until the seedlings are ready to be transplanted hopefully by next weekend or shortly thereafter. The weather in my region is perfect for cultivating seedlings as it is fairly hot and humid and I only have the Spectrum X running at 30% so it is not putting out much heat and I also have a humidifier running in the tent on low which is maintaining a RH of around 68%. I also have the AC Infinity fan kick on here and there just to keep some fresh air in the tent but no real issues with heat. I have run several Sweet Seeds Auto Strains in the past with excellent resutls, but this is my first run of one of their photoperiods so I am excited to see what she can do. I plan to build a mainline and flip as soon as all 5 mainlines are built, hopefully around week 7. This Medic Grow light is perfect for a 5X5, and the AC Infinity 8" exhaust does an excellent job of keeping the tent cool. I will set up an auto feeding system which consists of a reservoir, and some 1/2" tubing that is hooked to a submersible pump in the reservoir and set to feed for 1 minute every 6 hours through halo feeders connected to ball valves to adjust the flow. The runoff then flows via gravity to a 5 gallon bucket in the tent with a shallow pan condensate pump that pumps the runoff out of the tent when it gets above 3 inches to another reservoir. I have been growing fruit and vegetables for over 40 years and I have recently switched to high frequency fertigation in Coco Coir for my tomatoes as well, as I believe this growth medium combined with this technique is the safest, most environment friendly, and foolproof method of getting monster yields no matter what crop you are growing, and I have seen massive results in both cannabis and tomatoes. My goal is to have these ladies transplanted by around day 14-17, and have the first toppings done within 48 hours or so of transplant. I hope everyone has a safe and peaceful weekend. The Medic Grow is still running at 30% in the V1 or vegetative stage which is the mostly blue spectrum. I am watering them every other day or so with a small syringe around the edge of the solo cups. I am hoping to transplant them i about 48 hours to 3.4 gallon airpots and hook them up to an automatic fertigation system that feeds every 6 hours or so. Hey now, hope everyone has been well. Super excited football season is finally here so things are about to get busy. I went out of town for 4 days and the plants struggled a little bit with the PH getting slightly too high before I returned. I also came back to see that some type of insect was munching away on the lower leaves of my Sundae Driver which I sprayed the plant and coco with neem oil, but hopefully they didnt do much damage before I can get them under control I have never experienced insect problems indoors, likely because I grow in Coco and not Soil. However, I left a 5 gallon airpot full of coco from a previous grow outside for a couple weeks by mistake, and pretty sure bugs got into. I wont make that rookie mistake again. Anyways the rest of the ladies are looking pretty good, They are almost getting what I consider a full dose of nutrients, even though it half of the manufacturers recommended dosage. I am feeding all Gen Hydro cal mag, Armor Si, and maxi grow. Not sure why I can't add it under GHE or the company that bought GHE. I also add some food grade hydrogen peroxide to keep the reservoir fresh for around 10 days or so but I clean it once a week. I did get all the ladies transplanted from solo cups to airpots on day 16, and it took 24 hours or so for them to recover from the transplant and start growing again. I am running 3 of the 3.4 gallon, and 2 of the 5.4 gallon just because that is what I had available. I hopefully top them all sometime this week for the first time, as soon as the roots are a little stronger. I let them grow to 7 nodes or so before I top them and make sure they're growing fast. Hopefully I can still mainline the Sundae Driver, she looks healthy other than those two leaves chomped off. All the plants are on their 5th nodes, except for the Green Crack 2.0 which is only on her 4th node. We got another heat wave coming through my region that I am not too excited about but at least its earlly in the game and I dont need to crank this light up yet. I am only running it at 30% and its putting off plenty to keep this ladies happy. Hoping to get a topping done this week, then another one next week, and be ready to flip to flower by week 7 or so. Hey now, hope everyone is having a great weekend,. It was a good week for all five ladies. The Red Hot Cookies is slightly ahead of the Sundae Driver and Durban Nights. The Green Crack is the slowest growing so far, and the Sundae Driver has some holes in the leaves that I am thinking are from bugs, I have sprayed her twice with neem oil so far so we will see what happens. I topped all five ladies on day 23 above the third node as I am going to build mainlines out of all of them. I am still not able to list my nutrients for some reason, but I am feeding with all GH, Silica, Cal Mag, and Maxi Grow at an EC of 1.2 and a ph between 5.5 and 6.5. I use an auto feeding reservoir with halo feeders set on a timer to feed every 5 hours for one minute. I am hoping to get the second toppings done sometime this week, and then the final toppings done the next, and then flip to flower around week 7 or so. I am still using this Spectrum X from Medic grow, and have it cranked up to about 50% power and they are seeming to love it. We are in the midst of hopefully the final heat wave of the year and I am looking forward to cooler temps and lower humidity by the time I flip to flower. The ladies had another great week, I got the Durban Nights, Red Hot Cookies, and Sundae Driverr's second toppings completed on day 26, and I got the second toppings done on the Green Crack and Bubble Runtz on day 27. Right now I have 4 mains on each plant, and I will top each one this week, probably in the next 3-4 days which will leave with me 8 mains. So the mainlines will be completed during week 5, and I plan to flip to flower around week 7. I am still seeing a couple holes on the leaves of the Sundae Driver, but I have treated her twice with neem oil and I don't see any new holes since the last application and I can't see any bugs even with magnification. I am still not sure if it was a bug issue or just a genetic thing. Either way I am not too concerned at this point because they all seem to be very healthy. I am still feeding GH nutrients, silica, cal mag, and maxi grow. I will transition to flower nutrients approximately one week after flipping to flower. I have found that it is important to continue feeding plenty of Nitrogen through the stretch. The only way I would transition sooner is if I was running out of vertical space. Still very pleased with the Spectrum X from Medic Grow. I am running her at 69% and the plants seem very happy and healthy. I got the final toppings completed for all the ladies, I got them done on the Sundae Driver and Red Hot Cookies on day 38, and the Durban Nights, Green Crack, and the Bubble Runtz topped on day 40 for the final time. At this point there is not much more training left to do, just some minor LST to try and keep all 8 tops per plant level, and some minor defoliation along the way. I am planning to Veg them for 1-2 weeks and flip to flower probably sometime in week 8 depending on how fast they grow. I do have them all on milk crates which are 10" each so I will place them on the floor and adjust the light power probably about the time I flip to flower to accommodate the stretch. I am still feeding GH nutrients, silica, cal mag, and maxi grow. I will transition to flower nutrients approximately one week after flipping to flower. I have found that it is important to continue feeding plenty of Nitrogen through the stretch. The only way I would transition sooner is if I was running out of vertical space. If the ladies double in height by the end of the stretch, they should be around 40 inches tall and my lights are at 52 inches so that would give me about a foot between the canopy and the lights. It was a good week again for the 5 mainlines, I did some final LST to try and keep the mains level, and I also defoliated the lower leaves to improve the air flow. I am still feeding the same veg nutrients which is just amor si, cal mag, and maxi grow. I will start transitioning to flower nutrients tomorrow and I will gradually switch over to all over flower nutrients by the end of the week. The ladies are about 24" inches tall, but I do anticipate them growing some more before the stretch ends. I am pretty much done with LST at this point, I will just continue to defoliate as necessary and make sure they are enjoying their environment. Still very happy with the Spectrum X from Medic Grow. I am still feeding them silica, cal mag, and flower nutrients maxi bloom by GHE. I will start to add a PK booster this week. I also will be switching to light from V1 to F1 sometime this week, and also integrating the UV/IR bar into the light cycle later this week. I will run the UV/IR bar for approximately 30 minutes prior to lights off to get started. The 5X5 is really starting to fill up nicely, I am running two dehumidifiers outside of the tent and I am able to maintain around 50% RH in the tent during lights on, and around 55% RH with lights off. Still very happy with the Spectrum X from Medic Grow. I am running her at 90% in the V1 cycle and will be transitioning to the F1 cycle later this week. Overall, the plants seem very happy and healthy. The temperature and humidity is significantly dropping so that helps keeping the tent cool and not overly humid. This is by far the best time of year to be flowering plants in my region. I will run the UV/IR bar for approximately 30 minutes prior to lights off to get started. The tallest plants are the Sundae Driver and the Durban Nights at 42" and the Red Hot Cookies is the shortest plant at 38" however they all look happy and healthy and capable of easily giving up a half pound each. The 5X5 is really starting to fill up nicely, I am running two dehumidifiers outside of the tent and I am able to maintain around 50% RH in the tent during lights on, and around 55% RH with lights off. We did get an unexpected heat wave this weekend and it has been a struggle keeping the heat and humidity down but the flowers are just starting so no need to worry about mold or anything like that yet. As soon as this heat wave is over the temps should be good to go the rest of the way this is by far the best time of year to be flowering plants in my region. Hey now, I hope everyone is having a great weekend, it was a good week for the ladies in the 5X5, they are all starting to stack flowers and really starting to distinguish their own smells. The Bubble Runtz has the most indica dominant looking colas and smells absolutely amazing. The Sundae Driver is looking like she is gonna have the fattest colas and be the biggest producer. I am really hoping I get the red phenotype of the Red Hot Cookies, and both the Green Crack and Durban Nights are showing the most Sativa characteristics and looking great. I now have the Medic Grow Light cranked up to 100% in F1 mode and am also using the UV/IR for 30 minutes per day prior to lights out. I am running a 12/12 cycle and feeding the same mix of GH nutrients which include Silica, CalMag, MaxiBloom, and Bloom Booster, with additional food grade Hydrogen Peroxide in the reservoir to keep algea growth to a minimum. I mix one 5 gallon bucket of nutes per day and clean my reservoir once per week. My pump is set to auto feed the plants every 5 hours after lights on, and I have a gravity self draining runoff setup I built. Not much to do from here on out, just keep the reservoir clean and full, a little defoliation, and 5 minutes per day to mix a bucket of nutes. I hope they get fat in the next few weeks and then I have about 7 people lined up to help me trim, I will throw everyone two zips for the help. hoping to do the wet trim in a day. I am thinking another 2 weeks of stacking, then 2 weeks or so to ripen. I am still feeding silica, cal mag, maxi bloom, and liquid kool bloom. I will switch to the dry kool bloom in about a week or two then I will flush with plain water for about 4 or 5 days before harvesting them around mid December. I am running two full size dehumidifiers outside the tent currently just to keep the relative humidity in the tent right around 50% or slightly below. I also have two very powerful fans blowing one above and one below the canopy to keep the air moving as well as an 8" inline fan keeping fresh and cool air into the 5X5. I am still taking a few fan leaves here and there but mostly just keeping the reservoir full, and cleaning it once per week which only takes 10-15 minutes. Hey now I hope everyone is having a great weekend, this will be the final week for all 5 of the ladies. I am still feedinig them all silica, cal mag, maxibloom, and some PK booster for an EC of 1.4 and PH of around 6.1. I am still feeding them 4 times per day and will transition to H20 only on Monday, so they will get about a 5 day flush and I will harvest them on Saturday. I have a bunch of help lined up for the trim so I'm thinking we can get all 5 plants cleaned up in a few hours. The Sundae Driver looks amazing, alot of purples and nice tight colas. The Red Hot Cookies looks like it will have excellent bag appeal and colors and smells nice. The Bubble Runtz has the most Indica looking structure with shorter fatter colas, and the Durban Nights has huge chunky colas but not as long, and the Green Crack smells amazing and is sticky AF but has the smalles colas of the five. Easy to grow, buds were more orange than red, nice terp and trichome production, not a big yielder.
