Day 21:
Start of week 3, and everything is looking good. LST is working even better than I expected, once again big shoutout to @Rangaku.
A few white marks on lower leaves, no pests and I don't think there's any nutrient deficiency this early so it's probably nothing. I'll keep checking for pests under leaves every day just in case.
Day 22:
The white spots on the leaves have turned brown. It's not that big of a deal but it should warrant some action against those bugs.
Nothing has been found under the leaves but I've seen several white flys and something that I can't identify.
Day 23:
Still deciding how to fight the pests. I think neem oil would be the best option, unfortunately, it doesn't exist in my country so I'll have to go another way.
I don't think it's a deficiency of any kind just bugs slurping on stem juice occasionally.
Removed images for days 22 and 23 since they all look the same anyway
Day 24:
She's getting taller by the day. I think I'll let her be for 2 more days before I do another round of LST. This time I'll try and make her turn to the right to make a spiral.
There are one or two bugs here and there but that's normal for an outside grow, you can't protect her from everything.
Day 25:
All is well, I water much less now since it's a comfy 30C and she's growing quite well. It's time for some more LST later today.
I'm hoping for one more LST session during the early bloom period and that should be it.
Day 26:
Watered in the morning and added 1.5ml of nutes, then I waited a few hours for the plant to soak some water up so she wouldn't be so rigid.
Lowered the canopy a few centimeters and turned her to the left. Should be the last of the LST, I think she hitting the preflower stage as pistils are everywhere.
IMO the quick one strain is a bit too quick, I'd like it more if I had at least one more week of veg to shape her a bit more but it is what it is.
Day 27:
Flower
After mostly recovering from the transplant I'm wondering if it's time to start training.
It's day 18-19 and she's quick to flower strain so not much time left. I'd start with a simple bend and try and work her into a spiral if time allows. Too soon or not?
How do I take proactive action against white flys and the other pest that I cannot yet identify?I have found no traces of any infestation on the lower side of the leaves anywhere on the plant. Will insecticidal soap help at all since they fly away as soon as I get close
She's well into flower but in my opinion, she's too short for it. What can I do to make the flowering process go as well as possible considering her short 15cm stature?
The side nodes are barely 5cm tall and are already flowering. With no new leaves growing it might get rough.
You must boost the roots system since the seedling stage. Growing a strong roots system as fast as possible is the primary goal. More roots more fruits, this is the way it works
Is it worth it to pause the drying process and wet trim?
I am mostly asking this since I read it's easier to wet trim and I can hopefully extract some kief from the sugar leaves with a grinder in the process.
What are your thoughts, leave it as is, or get that kief?
For as little as you have I wouldn't. You want to keep them like they are to protect the buds during the dry. This will ensure the most terpenes once cured.
Now if you had 3 or 4 pounds and each bud was massive then yes. Most do a light wet trim to keep from any mold or bud rot during the dry. Also to save on the dry trim.
I wouldn't do it thought.
Please consider selecting me as the answer so I can be entered for a chance to win grower of the month contest I would really appreciate it growmie 🙏
Good luck with your grow! I found your diary through questions, I also have a short plant which I started LST, and it seems we're feeding similarly, you're just a couple of weeks ahead, so I will follow your success 😸
Nice kub(i see your namprik so assume you're my guys)
Up your pot to atleast 12L or 20L (3 or 5gallon) and proper on how much watering should help with a rootzone.
And our climate is crazy hot and humid. Give her a good ventilation is stepup your grow!
Happy smoke!
Thank you!
I'll definitely get a larger fabric pot next time. Do you have any more tips for growing roots, mine turned out pretty small and it stunted my plant very much.
Happy growing 🌱🌞🌱
Wow so many leaves on day 10 😍
It grow faster than mine!
After heat wave, i had a very bad weather, rainy, cloudy and temperature from 38°C to 20°C now during day 😭
And a probably thrips attack on one of my lady
Damn, that's a lot of things attaching a lil plant. Hope your grandma's magic insecticidal soap clears it all up 🤞🤞
I've also heard Neem oil works pretty well against those buggers. Bad weather is coming here this week so you'll have plenty of time to catch up.
Best of luck and wish you the sunniest days ahead ☀️☀️☀️
@ElMachinist, Thank you!
It makes no sense that it would grow this well in these conditions. Very happy with the RQS seeds, already ordered a few more for the next grow.
Best of luck and happy growing to you too
