These are flying along for 10 days in
Looking even better 15 days in. I'm now air pruning the roots and letting the blocks almost dry out to bring on the roots even more
Waiting for roots to come on more and spotted a weirdo in pack lol
Day 22 and the roots a flying along. I pinched the top of the weirdo plant and it's v'd off like two plants in one. General growth is good, the plants look and to the touch feel good
I'm dipping the blocks in a weak solution of formulex every few days.
Tallest is 10" the others range from 6" and up. The roots are coming on well...growth rate is excellent.
17/10/18 the rate these bitches are growing I had to fim 4 of them today. I'll give them another week in veg then move them to a flowering table
19/10/18 couldn't wait a full week after fimming these 2 days ago as the growth rate is fast. I've moved them from veg room to the flowering room today as you ca see the root systems are looking great.

Day10 in flower tent these are growing unbelievabley fast. Should see the start of flower any day now.
Topped up tank with half strength feed this week and PhD as will see flower any day then I'll change the water and feed it flower food

These are all growing at same rate and the flower should be popping out any day....big gaps between internodes, I think maybe cos my light was so high as i have really tall tangilope next to these.
Have lovely white healthy roots.
I spread these out more. I only put 3 on a 5ft single channel tray and two on a 4ft tray. Makes life easier and they are not so cramped unlike the tangilope which has 5 on plus a blueberry og. That's way to over crowded.
Holy mother of god I think I've been sent jack and the beanstalk beans!!! These son bitches are just off 5ft tall. I've had to pinch and bend the tops (hst) as they're so tall. They are beyond rediculace in height but i can see the potential buds these are going to form.

I'm almost tempted to rip these out as I had no idea they would grow this big...I been growing with clones mostly because they don't grow as wild as seeds, so really have been caught out with there size...I can see that they are budding ok...it all looks messy in the tent and I hate it...I think I'm a bit ocd lol
Hard to get a decent picture of these monsters....the tangilope next to it needs to hurry up and finish as its giving me humidity problems then I can get in there to take decent pics.
She certainly budding okay bug these are way to tall for my tent.

Buds are looking lovely on this plant. Just wished I trained these instead of letting them go straight up...I know better for next time.
I've topped up the tanks as the pk is still in the water. I'll change it in a few days...normally change water religiously every 7 days
What a fucking awesome plant :-) I have round buds like tennis balls not the classic Christmas tree shape. And they are as solid as a bowling ball.
The colours are coming thru lovely and the smell is to die for

I'm back these are some dry shots of plant 1 and 2. Plant 3 and 4 are drying and plant 5 is still growing until later tonight when i chop it down
Got 5 oz off 1st plant and 3 off the 2nd so far.
0lant one and two took 13 days to dry they were that dense
I just remembered that the main cola of plant 1 is still drying as i left it growing longer so I still have to add that weight on

So far 18oz and still one plant togo....not bad for 1.7 m space
Awesome so far...now for it to dry and cure....I've smoked some of each plant and they're all completely different in looks taste and smell...I have kept plant 1 as a mother from a clone I took.
As you can see I had it lab tested and the results are spot on @24.3%
I can tell you now it puts me to sleep on the sofa by 8pm lolol
Hiya...no I don't. I wait til I have plenty of roots coming out my 4" blocks. I only dip the bottom half of the block in a solution of formulex and sit them on the tray with out spreader for a couple of weeks in my veg tent and let them dry out to about 75% then dip em again til nice white fluffy roots come out. Then I'll lay out the spreader Matt and run the pump once a day til blocks are wet but not soaked.
Once they go on the flower tray I run the pump on a staggered timer say 15 mins every 4 odd hours. This way the blocks won't get saturated (depending summer/winter)
You must have plenty of roots first. It is an absolute must!!!
Did you pre soak your rockwool in 5.5 ph'd water for an hour or so? They have a lime content that needs flushing out. If not it will turn young plants yellow!!
Make sure your water is not freezing or you stun the roots.

@ThatoneAKguy, yeah that's sounds good...you dont want the rookwool sitting in stagnant water...
Your feeding tubes will be fine this crop but you'll find that they will block up eventually with a salt and fur build up inside because of the light exposure.
Cut a tube open when u finished a crop and you will see what I mean.
I don't use dripper/feeding tubes purely for this reason.
The tray and rez i use i clean and scrub after EVERY crop and the pump, then reuse
My trays are still squeaky clean after all these years of use. Some trays and rez I've seen are disgusting because of a salt and scum build up and people wonder why they have problems.
Each crop I hardly buy anything as I have a roll of spreader matt and food left over which does plenty of crops....sod buying God knows how many bags of soil and getting rid of it everytime....I just roll up a root Matt at the end and chuck it in the bin.
In my area you someimes you see dumped soil on the side of the road where people cant get rid of it in the local tip because it is suspect 😂
@@hydrohippy, I’ve been thankfully going through your diaries and we touched on the matting you use. I had planned to follow the way my buddy does it but I’m open to suggestions. I have a bpa free rubber made tote that I’ve installed a through hull fitting for a drain. I have a 1.5” tall rack that I was planning on setting a rockwool slab on and through cut holes in the lid placing the cubes on top of. My plan is also to a use drip tray feeding system through the top and that way with the rack my rock wool will never be in standing water.
I have two feeding tubes per cube on separate pumps from a 4-6 gallon res that way if one fails I’ll still have a working tube.
What do you think?
@onthebrink, no reason why not...nft is a shit hot way of growing if done right...the rewards are outstanding for very little effort with this method...been doing this shit 20 years now lol

@Eyeduno, yeah the fuckers all but one have hit the top of the tent...I have bent them all over many times and the cunts keep reaching for the stars. The one you can see hitting the top was bent over again today but it'll bend back up by the morning.
Rule of thumb is plants grow 3 times there height once in flowering...haha not these fuckers
@The_Projexx, I do like seeing the roots as you can spot a problem straight away....wait til I'm at the end of the grow and see the roots then, you could make a rug out of them lol
have you tried grow cube caps for algea and i dont remove the sleeves on the cubes as this help stop algea and slows drying of cubes also directs roots down at the sides and keeps them moist.
@HerbalEdu, training is the key with these...Nft hydrophonics is a fast way of growing...I haven't seen people in soil saying they stretched as much as mine
@Astrolavos, Also don't feed by the recommend dose on what ever food u are using. You will over feed them and burn the roots .
I have used canna aqua for recirculation systems for years with no problems
Don't give up dude!! she will slow down her stretch soon and you won't have to worry about her reaching for the sky 😅

@Dunk_Junk, I cant give up now i see flowers. She has stopped stretching now but I've bent the shit out of the plants which makes them grow even more wild lol. I've had to do it tho...I've got more beans of these so know what's to come
from experience ive found highly reflective sheets on more than 1 wall a problem, especially with hps, created heat spots from reflecting light beams going backwards and forwards from wall too wall. i ended up with 1 reflecting but the rest covered in a matt mylar type sheet. great roots you have btw
i m topping when this happen mid flow, may be i should try hst, i noticed slighty less bud but much more dense doing so, would be interesting to compare
@@hydrohippy, same week 4 into flo is my limit for topping as stretch is usually finished weeks 5 for me, and not topping more than 3 4 level max when they are baby like. But hst seem to give slighty better result, gonna try that next time.
@HerbalEdu, I had to hst the shit out of them which just made them go even more mental...I wouldn't top to far into flowering. The idea of topping is to push the side branches out more quicker...I would top in veg if the plant was growing up to fast with no side branches....I didn't read up on how tall they could grow
