Jane is getting PHAT and has swollen those buds an incredible amount over just 7 days. I'm thrilled she's going to be a fast finisher and have high hopes for these buds and how incredible they're going to be to enjoy later. Joan is just entering flower and has just been so freakishly bushy this entire time that it's been hard to work around her and water her; she's getting defoliation TODAY. Also proud of her stretch, she's at 20 inches tall now! That's 3 inches this week, but she still looks to be stacking well. Both have leaves showing issues, looks like Joan's experienced Phosphorous toxicity because of the cal-mag deficiencies showing as badly as they are. She did get some 2-8-4 before flower and the lower growth has shown most of the issues. Shouldn't be a problem going forward but I feel it should be noted for the next time these seeds are run. Jane might just need a little cal-mag next watering and I think that'll balance her out. She's clawing downward on upper fan leaves and I'm not sure if it's water related but she's getting very little water with her cal-mag today to be safe along with Joan.
Performed a hefty feeding last night. Humidity in the tent has been higher than usual and seems to have a tendency to climb. Hoping itโs just been the rainy weather and that it wonโt be as bad come flower time.
I wanted to add from this morning's update that the smell is getting stronger, already quite pungent somewhat 'skunky' smell when entering tent. Stem rub smells are much more complex, each pheno taking on different properties. I'll speak more of the scent particularities later when we're hitting flower.
@Lemonhazelover, Thank you for commenting! I'm very proud of them and though I still have some learning to do, they have responded very well to my nurture ๐
Small update: both plants have been chopped, one has completed dry and was just trimmed last night. Jane was over-dry for sure, likely even started drying in the pot before harvest but this is the result of only having one tent to dry with; having to chop Jane late and Joan early. Will post harvest update once Joan is trimmed and weighed ๐
Wanted to add a couple notes: THE SMELLS omg they're amazing. When entering the tent, you get punched with the skunkiness of this lineage; getting closer and smelling Jane's flowers reveals gassy citrus candy, imagine orange Skittles with fumes ๐
Loupe arrived so I can do less invasive trichome checks. May not be any trichome pics next week but expect extra the following week as harvest will likely be very near.
