Good signs all around. I'd estimate this is currently day 12 for the first seed that took off. Joan is at day 12; Jane (not yet pictured) is at day 5 roughly. Photos will follow of her as her initial leaves develop.

Joan gave a scare as the photo shows; unsure exactly what stress she experienced, new growth doesn’t seem affected which is a good sign.

Interesting to see Joan growing rather bushy instead of tall. Don't know if it's just the pheno or the stress/burn at sprout but she's doing great now. Happy to see even growth from Jane, which is nearly the same height despite germinating a week after. Excited for next week's update 😁

Without question, I overwatered both of these ladies way too early in the seedling stage and completely stunted their growth. Both are still only about six inches tall and I'm concerned if they'll even get tall enough to provide a satisfactory yield. I've decided to push forward and get these gals to harvest anyway. Jane's showing pistils already so she's essentially at preflower; I allowed her medium to dry out so she got fed 1/4 gallon ph water plus a nitro tea. Joan will get a nitro tea tonight but no water added as her medium still seems pretty damp. My hope is that a tea for each of these girls will help them burst some growth before flower.

Finally! Explosive growth from both plants. Jane especially growing much taller as well as filling branches out beyond the edge of the pot. Joan was defoliated last week but you can't hardly tell. I just applied dry nutrients in top-dressing so they'll be fed over the coming weeks. Very slight burns on the tips of the leaves and new growth isn't really showing signs of burn so it looks like a good time for dry nutrients. Jane's got pistils bursting everywhere but Joan doesn't seem to have but maybe a couple sights showing them. Either way we are getting much closer to flower! Very excited to see how much bigger they are next week :)

Both girls are doing very well. Jane has Stretched significantly and is near the end of Pre-flower. Joan has continued to grow outward and is showing pistils signaling she is in pre-flower. I fed them clean PH Water on 9/28 without Cal-mag. Adjusting light to maximum wattage and raised light to 20 inches above the canopy. Jane is 11 linches tall. Joan is about 10 inches tall despite being planted a week before Jane. Joan is also very bushy. This may or may not be a result of the one day of LST training earlier in veg. Will add cal-mag with next feeding at higher quantity.

Both girls showing great progress and Jane is officially at the end of preflower. I'm considering this the final week of veg for this run. Jane is basically at flower and Joan is not far behind entering preflower. Joan is still very bushy but has begun to stretch upward and will therefore not be defoliated for probably a couple weeks. Jane, however, got a good defoliation today too sort of lollipop the bottom growth and help her focus upward. Both gals got organic dry nutrients today; equal ratios 4-4-4 and 2-8-4 for Joan but Jane got some extra 2-8-4 bloom since she's basically wk1 flower. Watered with Cal-mag tonight and we're off to the races!

Such a great week for Jane. She's praying up to the light at all hours and is just soaking it all in. Rounding out week one of flower I'm very happy with her production; already feeling sticky in lower bud sights with solid resin production. The scent is definitely taking on a sweet aroma but will change some towards the end of flower. Joan is still showing to be a bushy freak, so many branches in all directions; seems like she's going to be a strong yielder. I watered Jane yesterday with 1/2 tablespoon of unsulfured molasses, gave a little to Joan as well though not much. This is of course to feed the microbes in the soil. Will be defoliating Joan likely next week as she's going to enter full-on flower soon. Been very impressed with these ladies and even though they're shorter likely due to overwatering as seedlings stunted growth, they'll harvest nicely I'm confident. At this stage, neither plant needs a whole lot of work, mostly coasting now until we're closer to harvest. Thanks for checking out my grow!

Jane is getting PHAT and has swollen those buds an incredible amount over just 7 days. I'm thrilled she's going to be a fast finisher and have high hopes for these buds and how incredible they're going to be to enjoy later. Joan is just entering flower and has just been so freakishly bushy this entire time that it's been hard to work around her and water her; she's getting defoliation TODAY. Also proud of her stretch, she's at 20 inches tall now! That's 3 inches this week, but she still looks to be stacking well. Both have leaves showing issues, looks like Joan's experienced Phosphorous toxicity because of the cal-mag deficiencies showing as badly as they are. She did get some 2-8-4 before flower and the lower growth has shown most of the issues. Shouldn't be a problem going forward but I feel it should be noted for the next time these seeds are run. Jane might just need a little cal-mag next watering and I think that'll balance her out. She's clawing downward on upper fan leaves and I'm not sure if it's water related but she's getting very little water with her cal-mag today to be safe along with Joan.

I seem to have finally reached that point with this run where there isn't much else to do other than water when dry before harvest. We are too close to harvest to top-dress either plant and I've fed them their last dose of cal/mag and molasses. Jane is at day 69 and almost looks like she could be harvested soon. Depending on how long Joan takes to finish, harvest will almost certainly happen roughly three weeks from now. As you can see from the photo, I've checked trichomes on Jane once already. Little to no amber with a split of clear and cloudy at this time. Joan is at day 76 and is swelling/stacking nicely. If she swells similar to Jane, yield should be excellent. Joan will also be receiving additional defoliation so light penetration can be a bit better.

More coasting this week, the thirstiness of these gals varies a bit. Joan being a larger plant seems to need more water at a higher frequency than Jane, who will likely get dechlorinated, ph'd water today. I have been letting them dry out quite a bit lately as Jane continues to flush nutrients, pulling what she needs from her remaining fan leaves. Joan did get cal-mag in yesterday's watering because I suspect she will be 2-3 weeks from harvest. Jane could almost be harvested right now, if one's preference for less amber were desired she would be prime to harvest right now. Since I'll prefer just a little more amber, she'll go another week or two for me. I'm torn because I only have one tent in which to dry these ladies, so it looks like harvest will need to be in two weeks regardless of how ready Joan is. My hope is that roughly two weeks is enough to get mostly cloudy trichomes with fatter buds and chop both ladies same day, same time. We're in the home stretch for this run and I'm so excited to see how harvest turns out!

...And now we've promptly arrived at the final week of flower! It's been a beautiful journey with these ladies. Some scares and uncertainty in the beginning due to overwatering stress and staggered germination but both gals grew up moderately sized and stacked very densely. Jane needs basically nothing other than a final watering in the next day or so; her trichomes are turning amber all over the place (solid 15-20%) and I haven't seen much clear, almost every trichome is at least cloudy. Joan is getting a final defoliation today and possibly water. She is mostly ready but not quite (5% amber, 80% cloudy); to address this, Jane will be chopped and hung up in the tent while Joan sits in her pot under 48 hours of darkness. This will give Joan just a little more time while relieving Jane of her laborious but fruitful work. Will be updating after Joan is harvested roughly one week from today.

Happy Harvest Day!

Being sativa dominant, some if the buds ended up airy though most of them significantly more dense than the first run of these genetics. Even though they are still a bit over-dried, terp content is much more present. Still getting a somewhat citrus + gas smell and confirmed taste from the early finisher who was harvested probably a week too late and lost some terpene strength. Easy to grow with interesting phenotypes!

Really enjoyed the run! Thanks for hanging out, I said most of what I wanted to say above but have some final comments. Joan may have been harvested only slightly early but I think her terps are gonna be crazy! Was very strongly sweet smelling when harvested so I have high hopes. She is going to get a full 30-day cure so we have yet to enjoy her. Was very pleased to go the full grow without pests or parasites/disease. Learned some lessons for next grow, which has already begun germinating; stay tuned! 😁

Performed a hefty feeding last night. Humidity in the tent has been higher than usual and seems to have a tendency to climb. Hoping it’s just been the rainy weather and that it won’t be as bad come flower time.

I wanted to add from this morning's update that the smell is getting stronger, already quite pungent somewhat 'skunky' smell when entering tent. Stem rub smells are much more complex, each pheno taking on different properties. I'll speak more of the scent particularities later when we're hitting flower.

Small update: both plants have been chopped, one has completed dry and was just trimmed last night. Jane was over-dry for sure, likely even started drying in the pot before harvest but this is the result of only having one tent to dry with; having to chop Jane late and Joan early. Will post harvest update once Joan is trimmed and weighed 🙂

Wanted to add a couple notes: THE SMELLS omg they're amazing. When entering the tent, you get punched with the skunkiness of this lineage; getting closer and smelling Jane's flowers reveals gassy citrus candy, imagine orange Skittles with fumes 😍 Loupe arrived so I can do less invasive trichome checks. May not be any trichome pics next week but expect extra the following week as harvest will likely be very near.
the end.
