Compared to powerplant, LSD is very slow to get going. By the end of week 2 of flower i expect more established bud-sites, however i have been told that LSD will get busier towards the later stage of flowering. We shall see.
But in terms of plant health, there are no deficiencies (not that you get any with NFT), very uniform nodal spacing - no stretch, very large stems at the bottom and the root mass is exactly what i expect.
The temperature has now dropped to 14c at ''night time'' so ive had to introduce a small heater to keep the temps up whilst theyre asleep.
Temperature fluctuations between 18c and 24c whilst lights are on even with a heater in there. Also putting the humidity up higher into the high 60’s which is not ideal.
Disaster this week, my feed pump got air locked for 12 hours and the front 2 plants wilted heavily because of it. They to have recovered but it’s pissed them off...yield will be affected. Started the swell and supa sticky from CYCO their weight gain and resin builder products. 3-4 weeks left and they have a lot of work left to do!
A few leaves looking bad on the first two plant from the pump failure last week and the back plant has slumped over! APART FRom that they are starting to get noticeably denser and crystally. STARTING TO TAPER down the e.c. Each week towards flush.
Not a bad result considering I had pump failure, 2 plants slumped over and one plant was a complete retard. I changed all 3 aspects at once....new strain, new NFT system, new lighting system so I was naive to think I’d hit 40oz +.
However I have learned from this and will tweak the system accordingly.
I’m taking out 2 CDM units and replacing them with HPS. I Feel that the lack of HPS was as a major factor in my lack of substantial colas.
Every grow is a learning curve. LETS hope the next one does better.
