Germination
2y ago
ORION1_1 For germination I like to soak my seed in a glass of water for 24hrs. Then I move it to a slightly moist paper towel and place it in a sealed container placed on a heat mat or warm surface for 24hrs. I'm using KIS ORGANICS Biochar Soil blend which is water only. I'll topdress with worm castings and the KIS Organics Nutrient Pack. I also have some Build a Soil craft blend and build a flower so I may switch that up when the time come. I'll update on what I decide regardless. ✌️🏼

ORION1_1 They seem happy so far, the living soil is a bit more dense than I'm used to so the soil has been taking longer between waterings than I would like. I just gave a deeper watering with 2 liters. And I'm aiming to maintain it with 1 liter every 2-3 days. I add a bit to the bottom first to see if it sucks any water up. And then usually top water the remaining liter.

ORION1_1 Still happy and doing well. Maybe a little slow since I was getting the living soil watering differences figured out. Water only living soil for now ph at 6.3-6.6

ORION1_1 Still lookin happy, water only around 6.5 ph. I will start some LST next week 👍🏼 I will also give a 1/4 dose of advanced nutrients sensi cal mag next week because that's one issue I've ran into, usually nearing flower and I feel weekly small doses helps negate any issues. LED lights seem to increase the need for cal mag at least in my environment. The auxiliary shoots off the main are interesting! It's definitely going to be more of a bushy structure and fun to LST! ✌️🏼 ♥️

ORION1_1 All good and looking happy. Started some LST. I was undecided if I was going to train these girls but decided to do it. I gave a 1/4 feeding of Advanced Nutrients Sensi Cal Mag extra. Now that I've had a good watering schedule down with slight dry back they have been surging with growth! One starting to flower fast and the other is right behind it.

ORION1_1 The growth took off this week! Both plants showing signs of flowering but one is ahead of the other. I'd say there was at least 6 inches of height added over the past 7 days or so. I'd consider this the first week of flower

ORION1_1 The buds are early in flower but still stretching. Thick white stigmas popping out of all the bud sites. And there's a beautiful purple color that's beginning to show on the early sugar leaves. I defoliated only a couple of the largest fan leaves off the main stem. The were bigger than my hand and blocking nearly all the lower sites, so I felt it was beneficial. The spacing has been good on all the branches and I haven't needed to remove any other foliage besides the big boys. I did also remove the absolute lowest budsites because at this point there wasn't any chance they would ammount to anything
