▪️Growing with OG Kush and Fat Banana▪️
🍓#1
11/09/23
Germination started with. Seed placed into wet paper towel, cup, and kept inside dark warm cupboard.
14/09/23 Tap root came out after around 28 hours in water and 23 hours in tissue. Placed into a biodegradable cup with substrate, then back into cupboard.
Day 1 - 15/09/23 this bean is definitely showing signs of life, It just hasn't quite made it upright yet. at least she's out 🌱
🍓#2
14/09/23 - It also took around 50 hours for the tap root of the second seed to come out.
Day 1 - 15/09/23 the seed has sprouted and the seedling is looking strong!! we're on the go 💪🏽
These seeds have taken the longest for me to start so far. I must say, I did feel a little panic that they were duds. but they tapped. so let's see 🤞🏼

Day 7 - 21/09/23
🍓Plant 1 5L - she's made a massive turn around and is looking healthy quite early on! let's hope it keeps this way!!
🍓Plant 2 10L - looking healthy, looking strong! her second set of leaves are also coming in nicely!
It'll be interesting to see how differently these two will grow with their different pot sizes as all other conditions will be identical.
this is gonna be informative!! 💪🏽🌱
65W LED hanging at 14" running at 80%, 18/6 light schedule.
Just using water to keep substrate around seedling hydrated. roughly using around 200ml every 24hrs.
Day 14 - 28/09/23
Both Strawberry Pies are looking good this week! looking very green and very lush!
size wise they're roughly the same height, although Plant 2(brown pot) looks to be a few days further developed than Plant 1(black pot).
LST is looking viable in the next week.
so far, so good! 🍓🍓🍓
Day 21 - 04/10/23
🍓P1 Brown - she's grown tall enough to start a little LST, along with the Fat Banana
🍓P2 Black - she's developing well, but is also quite short and stocky, much like the OG Kush.
it's still early to call but it looks like I'm gonna have a tall plant and a small plant (again).
ALSO
What's going on with the leaves on 🍓P2?
Is that a deficiency?
Day 35 - 19/10/23
Both Pies have done some growing. i decided to flush and trim them quite late into veg to combat what i believe to have been nute burnout, which affected all my current plants.
we're at week 5, they're autos, and I just stressed them.
This is gonna be an informative week. we see it through!
02/11/23 - Strawberry Pie in the 10L pot is fighting back!! all that flushing and calmag has done some magic with this plant!
LST did wonders on her!! it was done differently to the OG Kush and Fat Banana, and i think this is how I want my plants to look like going forward!!
Pie in the 5L is still fighting for survival. she's the effect of CalMag only for the last 2 weeks have caused more deficiency signs that have not been visible on the other 3 plants that went through the same treatment.
04/11/23 - Gave both strawberry pies a good watering, using full value Biobizz nutes at 800PPM and 6.2 pH. Let's see how his goes!!
Day 55 - 08/11/23
OK. so, we have some good looking plants finally!!
5L plant still has those rust spotted leaves, which i'm not going to touch.
Bud sites are plentiful and they've started to swell and fill out!!
10L plant is looking strong, also with plenty of bud sites!! LST did this plant wonders, and I've got an even canopy!! She doesn't have the rust problem, but she does have some yellow leaves, so up the N.
I think i'm gonna put these two under the TS1000 100% 18/6 for the week and see what happens!!
It took a long while, and it was rocky for quite a bit, but these two are looking stable and healthy!!!
Day 63 - 16/11/23
They're doing something!!
5L pot - the buds are thickening just right. very frosty, and the main cola is a fair size, despite all the stress!!!
10L pot - buds are starting to swell! good progress overall so far, this plant is about 2 weeks behind over the 5L pot.
PPM adjusted to 1200, pH still at 6.3
Day 70 - 23/11/23
Strawberry Pies. oh my, Strawberry Pies.
I didn't expect much from these two considering the very rocky start they had and how they almost died on me multiple times. But they've turned a corner and they're producing very well!!
Im giving them value nutes at 1400PPM and 6.1 pH, and i seem to be watering every other day out of necessity. good signs!
I'd say 5L is about 2ish weeks from finishing, and 10L about 3ish weeks.
I'll be keeping a close eye on these two ⏳⌛️
Day 77 - 30/11/23
Strawberry Pies are looking pretty damn good this week!! for something that started off so so so bad, she's produced well beyond what I expected!! What a plant!!!
5L is maturing nicely! Still quite a few clear domes, more cloudy domes and some amber domes. She's looking good after the first flush too!
Flushed again with around 2L of water on the 27th, and like the other 2, im adding 2-300ml of water to stop her from wilting.
Buds are nice and thick, its a real damn shame she isn't so big!!!
10L is moving nicely as well. thick long buds forming, one as long as my hand!
She's still a good few weeks away from getting chopped.
Im keeping up with the full measure nutes, around 1300PPM at the moment.
I decided to pull the stems out again, for airflow and better light penetration too.
Day 85 - 8/12/23
The 10L Strawberry Pie still lives!
She's maturing nicely in a little space of her own!
Full dose feeds still going strong, 1400PPM and pH of 6.3, im giving her around 5-600ml a day.
the buds are fattening up, slowly changing that green shade for yellow and orange hues!!
she's looking to reach Day 100 at this rate!
11/12/23
I decided to flush this beauty today.
Like the other 3 plants, im doing one big flush of 10L then i'll be doing 7-10 days worth of small flushes
13/12/23 - Day 90
change of plan. this beauty needs to be dried and jared and put away by the 22/12/23, so I decided to take her out of the pot and trim while she's still in the ground. Im hoping she'll be dry enough to cut down by this time tomorrow.
everything else during this grow has been janky anyway, so let's see if this works. there's always a first time for everything!!
What an absolute experience growing this plant!!
She didn't get to be the biggest as I gave her unnecessary stress in her early week. I forgot that I treated the medium before planting, and I watered with normal values.
This causes nutrient lockout which took 2 weeks to correct, which then stunted her growth.
5L also battled deficiencies after flushing to correct the lockout. she was knocking on heaven's door for weeks, and she still produced some beautiful buds!
Once that was fixed, she flourished really well!! she showed beautiful colour on the buds. nice and dense. sweet herby scents coming from this plant!
She took big feeds, and tolerated high nutrients in flowering too.
10L plant will be cut down in 2 weeks!!
No mould, no pests, no mildew. what a plant!!!
I have 3 more of these beans, and i really want to run them again!!!
13/12/23
Dry weight is in. she managed to produce an ounce, 28g exact! plus all the tester nugs i've...tested.
14/12/23
10L strawberry pie has now also been cut down!! this plant was my sleeper!!! she grew so well, beautiful colas, thick nugs, full of resin!!! 331g wet weight.
I think this plant will yield as much as the three other plants combined!!! LST was a great plus on the 10L pot!
7 day dry should do the trick!!
