This is the first plant of a new strain I created last year that I've been calling Quad Cookies (seeing as it has Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies in all four branches of its family tree).
I didn't take photos of this one until it has started to flower, so skip ahead to Week 3 of Flower if you like.
Went with soil - in 2gal pots. I didn't have any good soil, so I just mixed Miracle Gro, seed starter and perlite. Yes, a terrible substrate, I know. But, hey, I didn't want to lug home a 50lb sack of good soil... 2 gallon pots because I didn't want her to grow too big. Expecting maybe 150g or so. Not a huge amount. Just want to try it and see if the cross is any good.
The cross is: Strawberry Iced Creme (Ice Cream Cake x Strawberry Float) x Pink Tourmaline (Pink Runtz x Cement Shoes).
Photos are of the actual mother and father (they were grown for seeds, so they are only in pots that are around 1 pint and 1 gallon, respectively). Of course, the 'father' is a female that had a single branch reversed. It almost didn't work too. After spraying that branch for a month, I only got one male flower-cluster with only one viable male flower - and, when I opened it up, it appeared empty of pollen. Now, cannabis pollen is pretty small and hard to see, but it sure as hell seemed like there was nothing there. I grabbed a paintbrush and pollinated the females anyways, just in case there was some pollen in there. And it worked! The first plant I pollinated was actually well-pollinated and produced tons of seeds. However, the other plants not so much... One only created one single seed - and another one only created two seeds - on the entire plants!
Sorry, no seedling photos. Forgot to take them. Here are a couple pics of the grand-parent strains...
Please skip ahead to Flower Week 3 for the start of more frequent photos.
Week 2 of flowering. Sorry, no photos of the actual plant yet, I didn't start taking pics until week 3 of flowering. Here are some pics of the reversed-mother/pollen-donor.

Only a few more weeks to go! I'm thinking 9 or so total, but who knows!
She's looking a lot frostier than both a Blue Cheese and a San Bacio Gelato right beside her. The buds are already pretty big, but you can barely see the calyxes (the father had gigantic calyxes the size of beans), so I'm thinking there's a good chance she might puff out huge. Which would be amazing, as she's already exceeded my expectations. She's bigger, frostier, the buds are harder, etc... The stems and buds smell nice. Nothing unique, just a nice, normal scent. I was only expecting maybe 5oz from a 2gal pot, but it looks like she'll crush that. All around, everything's going great.

Hmmm, I'm growing her right beside a strain from a famous breeder that's nearly 50 bucks a seed (I've grown 3 of those so far, and all 3 hermied, so even the famous breeders apparently aren't stress-testing!) and a Blue Cheese. The Blue Cheese's buds are half the size of the other two plants. So, all in all, this is a raging success. My strain is beating the other two by miles. Hopefully it smokes well...

Everything's still going great. The buds are dense. Rock hard. The smell is nice. The father had a rare floral scent, her mother was fruity. She's fruity with a bit of floral. I was hoping for an indica-leaning plant, but she seems to be slightly sativa-leaning. The fruity smell would seem to confirm that she'll be a bit on the sativa side. Just starting to fluff up. So perhaps 10 or 12 days left.

Still smelling great - and fruity! Sort of similar to Juicy Fruit, but a different flavor. Like if someone gave you a stick of gum, and it tasted familiar, but not like anything you've had before. Then, when they said it was some new flavor of Juicy Fruit, you'd go 'ahhhh!'

Looks like this will be her final week! She won't last long. Maybe 10.5 weeks of flowering in all. Smelling nice. And finally starting to get that beautiful lavender/chocolate color of her father (although, a little too late).
Harvested exactly 74 days from taking the seeds out of the fridge. Just hung her up to dry. Since it was only a 2gal pot, I was only hoping for maybe 4 or 5 ounces, I think she'll do better than that. The two testers were about 20g already.
