😏 Drip sysem hydroton. Ozone generator next to airpump to periodicaly oxygenate nutrient tank? I imagine it could have a similar effect as peroxide or ucroots. Am I right? Will this affect the nutrients or pH negatively?

No don't use it. It just negatively charges the air. Plus it will kill your plants with heavy exposure.

Interesting week. I had a 2 day battle with algae, I won. The larger plant is really vigorous and this system reduced vertical space drastically. I decided to start aggressive training on day 10 with supercrops below the first node. They are taking it well. Finally replaced my silica. Old bottle had precipitated so couldn't be used this whole time. Onward and upward!

Good week. Girls are growing fast, hungry and thirsty. pH has stayed within range. Humidity is still keeping the VPD too high, but i can't $ get a dehumidifier now.

After defoliating and light pruning, there was a massive explosion of growth. Within 2 days the tent is a jungle again. Big knuckles where they were supercropped. They got a chitosal foliar treatment yesterday and a few hours later they were showing vigour and new growth. I may have to flip earlier than the planned 5 weeks, considering their fast growth. EDIT- FLIPPED LIGHTS AT 4 WEEKS Some pump problems but cleared.

Wow, what a week. Explosive stretching, i am glad I flipped at week 4 instead of the planned 5 weeks. Plants are healthy, roots are good. Leaf tucking instead of defoliating, at this point. All buds are getting light.

What a jungle. I have been worried about humidity. The tent has been up to rH 79% (ambient at home this time of year is up to 90%) I have found condensation where some leafs touch. So I shelled out for a dehumidifier. It is tight among the 3 buckets and hoses, but it fits. I am keeping the humidity in the mid 50's. NOW THE SCARY PART I have only ever used minimal defoliation, but I have seen others give major haircuts at the 3 week mark, with great success. I gathered my courage and removed a great deal of foliage. I have worried and hoped.... Today they are a little lighter colored but there is bud growth. I hope in a few days I can give a sigh of relief. Looking at their structure, I can see where the training could have been better. Next grow I hope to get a net that has tighter openings, and perhaps use 2 nets, lower and upper.

Well, I am not so afraid of heavy defoliation any more. 😁 I can already see the benefits. I do have to be careful when reaching in to apply bondage or make adjustments. I unfortunately lost some buds. This speaks to early training, and earlier pruning. I will plan to have better access to each branch. No mold, roots are happy. The smell in there is spicy floral and dank, almost rotten. My filter is old, and not suited for the high cfm needed to keep the heat down. My ONA bucket is also a bit old. I will have to give that room a periodic ozone blast.

PPM creeps up. Add 4 to 8 L water per day. BIG FLUSH with FloraClean * removed all liquids *closed drainage to all could soak *repeated twice for total 3 times *once with plain water FRESH NUTES

pH was out of control, couldn't get it lower than 6.5 regardless of how much pHDown I used. Suspect algae. Looks like I cant sweeten even with the tiniest amount of molasses. Big flush....completely drained, turned off drainage, ran pH'd water with hypochlorous acid, let soak a half hour, drained. Repeated this 2 more times, but soaked longer the 3rd time. Final runoff was almost colorless. Inside sides of res had coating of biofilm, cleaned that up. No access to inside buckets, so i am hoping the soaks covered it. New nutes. Holding at 6.0 to 6.1, plants are happier. 4-5 weeks to go, smelling and seeing the blossoms develop at mid-flower always builds anticipation for the final crop. Considering Miicrobial Mass, Hydroguard, or similar.

Had a sudden surge in heat with the temps reaching over 35° C. Someone close was in hospital with an emergency so I did not see it for a few days. Unfortunately, the heat stress is very obvious. Baffling, because i have run these lights for years and have only seen these temps in late summer! Increasing exhaust had little effect, ended up turning off 1 60w cob, so they will only get 240w of light for their last 2 weeks of bloom. Still, with fans blasting and lights at 240w, it is around 29°. Not optimal.

A few irrigation problems, plugged lines and emitters. Gave emitters a good cleaning and blew out the lines. A couple days later they were plugged again. Seems like algae, though i have not seen any in the res for a while and the hypochlorous acid is at good levels. Buds continue to fatten up. That coffe-ish smell is strong. Another week or so to go. From this point i am only adding water, hypochlorous acid, and terpinater and letting the nutes levels slowly decline. I will flush everything in a few days and give 4 or more days of plain water after that.

Death bubba week 10 of bloom, in flush. All pistils were orange but now lots of foxtail are appearing, with bright white pistils. Harvest in 6 days but if new pistils are still white should I wait? Trich cloudy, I am unable to get in close with a lupe to see how much amber.

One hour less if they are photoperiod plants. Reducing the light time will not affect the quality or potency of the already mature flowers.

this depends on how manynew calyxes there are.. except for extreme contexts, i don't think it is worth waiting for small % of improved yield. It also has a negative effect on overall quality, imo, too. The plant is on several different developmental timelines under normal circumstances, now with a new wave og growth WAY after the original growth, i'd assume that create more variance in ripeness throughout the buds. This may or may not matter to some, but i want consistency. So, i generalyl do not wait for a new wave of late pistil growth to ripen. Each to their own. Some genetics are their own animal. I think organoman is on to somethign in regard to the cause of your foxtails. This can be some bad genetics too. it can also be due to weak light if not mistaken? Your plants have extreme fertilizer imbalances and symptoms all over the place, which can't help either. You can always snip off foxtails that aren't fully ripe.. make butter, hash or rosin etc from it.

To stop the foxtailing, reduce your lights on time by 2 hours.

Time to flush. pH'd water with HOCL and Terpinator. Gave each plant 2L of water from the top, and pumped it out before filling the reservoir with water.
