1st Ever Run

txs_87 so the plan was to germinate 2 x walter white 2 x double grape 1 x creme de la chem 1 x mace windu (skywalker x grape crinkle) (freebie) so i put all seeds i planned to germinate in their own cups of spring water to soak for 14 hours - 19/09/23 @ 7pm I then placed all in between 2 mildly damp cotton pads placed inside a dvd case and tucked away in a warm cupboard - 20/09/23 @ 9am i opened the dvd and misted the pads with water and opened the pads and misted, when i put the dvd case back i placed it on top of a cooled down water bottle that had a kitchen towel on top - 21/09/23 @ 9am when observed @9am one walter white had a good taproot and mace windu had a crazy length taproot so i planted them directly in 7 gallon fabric pots containing coco pre soaked with a calmag solution, light went on (23 inches above top of coco at 55%) and so did extractor fan, put plastic cup over the top as a humidity dome - 22/09/23 @ 12:30 mid day that night followed the second walter white and one double grape - 22/09/23 @ 12 midnight ish now due to my sloppy note taking i will explain.. the creme de la chem did not show taproot in cotton pad so i didn't plant it and i started germination process on a second cdlc the same way (14hr soak then cotton pad in dvd in cupboard), this second one after however long (long time) only let out the tiniest taproot that wouldn't get longer so i planted it... it never grew and when i carefully dug to look and the taproot had started turning a very very light tinge of brown, i then put it in the second double grapes pot to give it longer and a second chance (i believe it is in the second double grapes pot just incase it decided to join the party) and started germination on a second mace windu at some point the second double grape went into its pot but i didn't make note of this i estimate this as 24th/25th, when it broke soil it wouldn't shed the seed casing so i gently helped this off... then after a while maybe a day or two (28/09/23) i noticed the cotyledons still hadn't opened by themselves and had residue from the seed shell keeping it closed and i had to do something (photo included), i moistened it and 5-10 minutes after i used a very blunt Stanley blade to scrape this residue off... however the following days i would have to help by gently opening the cotyledons myself to allow in some light as i believed it was running out of energy, this seedling now is showing very slow growth and some sort of deformity in the first leaves, i am growing it out (got no backup seeds) interested to see how it does on the 23/09/23 i took note that the walter white #2 had 'broke soil' and mace windu was peaking out on the 27th i wrote: 27/09/23 Day 5 for walter #1 and double grape #1 Day 4 for mace windu (#1) and walter #2 Double grape #2 still not opened up Waiting for CDLC to break ground... Gonna feed the WW twins and mace and DG1 first feed of 400 EC then on the 30/09/23 i planted mace windu number 2 what a nightmare! my 'creme de la chems' didn't take and completely offset my whole plan along with one deformed double grape still just sat there i would of liked to have planted them all on the same day i know have one mace windu needing different nutrient to the older bunch definitely something to learn from and will be germinating a few more next time..
