Within 48 hrs they popped a taproot in paper towel in a zip lock bag and placed in a rapid rooter. Then transplanted into the 3 gal fabric pot in the closet grow tent.
Soil being used is my homemade super soil. Used Neem Seed Meal, Crab and Shrimp Meal, Dr Earth 4-4-4 for the humic acid, bacteria and myco spores and Alfalfa and Kelp Meal. This time I added freshly ground up 2 row malted barley in the soil. Myco blanket exploded in 2 days.
I will be using the malted barley starting this cycle based on what I read about Coot using this to help break down nutrients from organics.
The Shrimp Meal is available 0 to 1 month. So the autos should take off in veg.
10/15/23
Both girls are growing at a decent pace
Plant 1 is 3" tall
Plant 2 is 2.5" tall
Par is 350. Aiming for 650 around week 3 or 4
They are vigorous seedlings.
So far everything looks good.
They're both looking healthy and growing pretty fast.
I accidentally watered them today with Dyna Gro Grow that was for the 2 liter hempies. Luckily it was only 200ppm solution so shouldn't really hurt it.
I might need to throw in some Recharge and fresh ground malted barley next watering to resupply in case any of the microbial and fungal life was hurt by the Dyna Gro.
I topped both plants 2 days ago. They are still vigorous. There is some slight yellowing of margins on the lower fan leaves starting. Looks like Mg deficiency. Possible the coco coir I added to the soil is stealing Mg from the plant.
I'll have to water in some Epsom salts to fix that.
Seems there's also too much Nitrogen I as well. Hopefully she stretches out of that.
Watering with 1/2 gal 6.5ph tap water about every 3 days.
Both girls started their flowering stretch.
They looking nice and green. They really took off.
Plant #1 is 28" tall. She stretched 12" in 7 days.
Plant #2 is 26" tall.
Hopefully they don't get much taller. Pistils showing up now. I got 4 inches left to spare to maintain the 18" light to canopy but it can be 14 to 15" at 100% per mfg recommendations during flower.
Watering every 2 days. Once a week they get freshly ground malted barley watered in.
They are looking great so far.
These 2 girls got some heavy little nugs on them. Luckily Plant 1 didn't snap when I went to remove her from her spot 8n tge tents corner. I had to quickly grab bamboo supports and pipe cleaners and tie her up. She's all good now.
