SmokinToney9 Off to the races with this Sour Diesel strain from Royal Queen Seeds. If this turns out even remotely close to the Sour Diesel I enjoyed 5-10 years ago I will be one happy guy.
SmokinToney9 Went ahead and transplanted into the 5 gal mesh pot. Going to try and get this one tall prior to flowering.

SmokinToney9 Looking great! Pretty much just feeding with ph’d tap water and letting her feed off the soil for the first month or so. Branching out very nicely.

SmokinToney9 Can’t say enough good things about how this one is starting out. Thinking I may wait until week 7 or 8 to initiate the flowering phase.

SmokinToney9 Saw another decent week of growth. I went ahead and defoliated and continued to LST. Which has spread this Sour D wide open promoting some great new growth. Even snipped off a clone to experiment with. I went ahead and gave it its first dose of the Gaia Green Bloom booster. I anticipate moving it to the flowering tent within the next couple weeks.
New addition to the vegetation station. Lined the walls with reflective insulation and added another AC Infinity 22 100w light to help with the Nana Glue getting its fare share of light as well.

SmokinToney9 Saw a few leaves get some rust spots on them as well as a few yellowing leaves at the bottom. So I gave a little nitrogen favoring nutrient at half dosage to see if that helps. I also sprayed the leaves with a light spray of neem oil as well as turned a small fan on to get the air circulating going as I turned it off once it started getting cooler outside.
Outside of that still seeing some great growth. I will do one more round of pruning sometime this week and then will transition to flower.

SmokinToney9 This thing is stretching beautifully. I must say, the Gaia green Power Bloom has been perfect for this Sour Diesel. I’m excited to see how these flowers develop.
I took a few clones prior to switching the lights. They are rebounding well and new growth is present on all 3

SmokinToney9 Stretched a little more this past week. I went ahead and gave the top soil another dressing of the Gaia Bloom Booster. I found myself wrestling around a bit too much with the trellis so I went ahead and too it down.
This thing is looking great!

SmokinToney9 So far so good! These buds are coming in nicely. Pretty frosty for how early on we are with flowering. I’m excited to see how this sour diesel turns out. The clones are doing very well! They have more space to grow now that the other plant was moved to the 3x3 tent
Seeing a few of the fan leaves show brown spots. First time encountering this. I use dechlorinated tap water that normally has enough calcium/magnesium to where I haven’t had any deficiencies before but I do know each plant is different. PH Pen has been showing 6.3-6.7 w/ water
Hit her with some water soluble calcium and Epsom salt foliar sprays/ root drenches if you're an organic guy (Grow-Cal id really good as well), or start the Cal mag with every watering and I would tip dress some extra calcium or glacial rock dust into your medium.
SmokinToney9 Flowers continuing to develop. ImBattled a little Calcium deficiency this past week. Have fed it with Fox Fas CalMag. Hopefully that gets her back on track. Hopefully that doesn’t affect the outcome come time to harvest. Starting to put of a sweet, skunky smell. Can’t wait for that smell to increase.

SmokinToney9 Still battling the Calcium deficiency:/
I tested the PH of my runoff water and it was around 5.95-6.0ph so I’m assuming that’s what’s locked out the calcium. I’ve started feeding with 6.8ph water with CalMag added to see if that can help turn it around. The buds are looking great. Not sure how the Calcium setback is going to affect the turn out but we’ll keep fighting the good fight.
The clones are doing well. They stretched a bit but are very healthy .

SmokinToney9 Start of week 15. Still not sure how she’s rebounded from the deficiency that showed up a couple weeks ago. I’ve added Gaia green Glacial rock dust to the top soil. She’s been drinking a bunch of water the this past week.

SmokinToney9 Week 7 of flowering in the books. I seen a little fox tailing that I assume is from the stress caused by the Cal Deficiency. Still about a handful of weeks left still before she’s ready to come down. I look forward to seeing how the clones finish to get a good judge on how this strain is when it grows without getting any lockouts or deficiencies.
SmokinToney9 Wasn’t really anticipating it being finished this week but as I looked at the tricomes it did show all the signs of a ready to harvest bud. Learned a lot of this grow. Excited to continue with the clones I have and see if I can get those to turn out better than the mother
Getting tall! For the trellis, normally you want the plants to grow into it, that way you don't risk damaging your plants putting it on. Regardless, the plants look great, looking forward to your harvest!
@nonick123, thank you! I really wanted to put an emphasis on having a wide open plant that has an even canopy so once I switch the lights to flower and move it into the tent with a trellis, it has all the space for the light to promote multiple inner cola’s that all have healthy bud growth. We’ll see if it works :)
@BudBoutique, thank you! Looking forward to how this one turns out. Loved the old school strain so hoping this brings back memories with its scent and flavor
@nonick123, thanks for the recommendation! I figured the light may have been a bit off. I moved it last night. When I transplant I will just plant a little deeper to make up for the stretch
