Hi everybody I am back after a bit of a break.
For my first diaries of the coming summer I have been lucky enough to recieve some seeds from MSNL seedbank.
I decided that the strains I wanted to grow would be cookies crosses as they usually produce the goods .
This diary is Gorilla cookies and it will be grown outdoors, in my own blend of living soil in a raised garden bed.
To start with the plants will spend their first weeks of life in 7L pots before being transplanted into the final site.

MSNL Gorilla cookies week 2
Hi all,
the Gorilla Cookies plant is cruising along well.
She's still only getting 12.4hrs of daylight being Spring time in Australia
but the temperature sure is on the rise with daytime celcius temps already up in the high 30's.
I'm thinking this may be a very very hot summer so providing adequate hydration and shade during
the heat of the day will be paramount to getting thru it.
So far she seems to look fairly sativa dominant with those spear like leaves which could be a good thing if the end results
give me a cookies taste profile but the buzz of a sativa dominant gorilla glue .

G'day all
This little girl is growing a bit slower than I would of hoped for , however luckily for me
I have the entire coming summer for it to get bigger.
Although I am contemplating germinating another seed if this plant fails to impress me
This week she has been given some seaweed solution with a little mycorhizae mixed in and I moved her into a different pot
just incase the soil mix was the problem .

Hi everyone , This little midget still isn't growing all that well. 😌
I have got another seed in the process of germinating but even that one is taking longer than expected .
If it doesn't germinate I guess I will just persevere with the runt I already have .
You never know it may start to grow eventually , but not particuarly confident it will.
Never mind it is what it is and I can't do much about it .

My laptop screen died so I'm having to update with my phone
The plant seems to be finally starting to grow a bit which is a relief as the other seeds I attempted to germinate didn't sprout.

This smallish lady is finally starting to develop branching , which will allow me to start some basic training fairly soon.
The temperatures sure are heating up over here in Western Australia !! 😬
It's still spring here but you wouldn't know it , with temps getting up to 39 here for the next few days and overnight temps of around 24.
Makes me a little anxious about what the coming summer may be like 😥

Hi all , Another week has past and the Gorilla cookies is starting to take a bit more shape .
I did some basic LST to her , basically I just pinned each branch flat using a few Tent pegs .
I have decided that I am going to force flower this plant , beginning in another couple of weeks.
Reason being , I am low on indica dominant smoke and cannot afford to order any from the medical cannabis clinic.

Tis the 1st day of summer here in Australia , and we are in for a full week of 41 degree days .
I will give her another full week before deciding whether to initiate flowering.
I have a spare grow tent which I will use to force flower her.
Every evening at 530pm I shall put the pot inside the tent and remove again at around 530-6 Am when I do the watering .

Well after an extremely hot week!! I'm gonna start the force flowering as of this evening.
I will put her into the spare tent at 530pm and remove again at 6am , thus giving her 12.5 hours of darkness.
Hopefully in about 8-10 weeks I will have some Gorilla cookies to choof. 😝

So I have been force flowering this plant for a week now , and she has begun to flower 😎
I'm waiting on some amendments to help her thru flowering and will apply them to the soil as soon as they arrive.

Firstly the white residue is Diatomaceous Earth NOT powdery mildew.
It's on there to help deter bugs

The gorilla cookies is maturing well and smells great! despite the small size of the buds .
Strange smell actually , like a cross between your usual gorilla glue phenos and strong piney aromas not unlike hazes & sativas.

Well folks , This one is done .
I will be harvesting it in the next 2 days .
I am not expecting very much at all , and will probably turn it into edibles if it doesn't smoke up very well.
