This is my first grow. I just want to attempt a grow and learn from any issues I may encounter. Dialing in the temps and humidity was the first challenge.
Plants were given Water only in the first week. A small humidifier was used. Nutrients will begin on week 2.
One teaspoon of each nutrient given in a 5ltr bottle. Half a teaspoon of organic molasses was added to the mix. Royal Dwarf showing its sex and signs of preflower. Some defoliation was performed.
The white widow is growing fast. Some minor LST was performed to aid light penetration.
Feed every two days with a small watering in between. By the end of this week, the Royal Dwarf is starting to really develop its top buds. White widow is just crazy and has about 20 tops. next weeks pictures begin with the white widow in stretch mode.
The widow is stretching and the dwarf is really getting its bud on. The widow has bud sites all the way down each branch with long pistils. The dwarf has a peppery skunky smell. I am reducing the nutrients to the dwarf this week and using straight water for week 7. I chose to do this as the Royal Dwarf is a 7 to 8 week plant and I dont want to miss the flush. The Widow is 10+ week plant and looks like it could be a big one with 3+ weeks left.
Nutrient change. Bloom nutes for widow with cal mag. Plants are in soil so I have decided to begin gradual flush of RD. I expect the RD to be ready around 8 weeks so RD will be fed Molasses and pure water for last 10 days. I defoliated the WW ready for bud production once I thought its stretch had slowed just to increase light penetration and air flow. I can say that after a heavy defoliation in one sitting the WW did not even notice a thing.
Can anyone comment on the double top bud on the RD? Is that normal?
Being my first grow I did not keep an eye on the ppm in the soil until quite late on in the grow. I tested some runoff into flowering and the ppm levels were at around 2500! Even taking this into account then I can say the royal queen widow was a hardy plant. I copied all my pictures to my hard drive because my phone memory was so full and the hard drive died before I was able to upload them :(. I had some excellent photos of my first grow and I lost the best pictures.
