Started a new grow in September. I've got one Humboldt Blueberry Muffin and one Hella Jelly in a 2x2 super closet with a KIND LED x220 grow light. These are in fabric, 3 gallon autopots, with advanced nutrients. This is only my second run in soil, and my first run was severely underfed. This one should go a bit better with new knowledge.
moving along fine. The weird deformities have mostly worked themselves out by week 3 of veg. it's very dense and bushy, but with thinner branches. This plant had two main branches. I couldn't actually tell which one was the real main branch. I wanted to top her, so I decided to top both of the main branches on Day 18 of veg. Photo is shown right after the chop, and you can see the main branch had split into two below.
nutrients are up to ppm of 250. It is a really nice, dense plant. Lots of bushes. Will switch to flower on day 28. It really is growing an obscene amount of leaves, so I have been clipping a few leaves here and there basically every day.
plant was switched to flower at day 28. using some clips and strings to train the plants out. I started flower at a pretty low ppm, and it's something that could maybe be upped in my next grow. otherwise, plant looks ok.
all is looking ok other than that the flowering seems a bit slower than what I'm used to seeing. smells are starting to creep up, but it's nothing specific or overwhelming het.
a few interesting developments. First, the plants are definitely smelling now. In addition, the baby trichomes have popped out all over the plant. This was after about 21 days of flower, so not fast at all. I do think the flowers are a little later than what I got on my jelly donutz run. just interesting to see how the race moves on. I assume they'll go at least 50 days, so I have about 30 to go! Scrog is looking pretty good. the canopy is mostly even now.
anyone else experienced polyploidy? what should I expect lol?? It's interesting that only the one bud has that typical structure. the rest look regular.
humming along. Let's see... started to put off a nice smell on about flower day 28 (day 56 overall). it doesn't smell like blueberries to me, but it is a sweeter smelling plant. It's a bit hard to tell as it's sharing the box with an extremely stinky hella jelly (note the overview shot shows both plants). also, upped the nutrients again to about 1300 ppm now. This plant is handling it totally fine, and it mostly looks extremely healthy.
lastly, i lowered the light cycle to 11.5 on / 12.5 off on day flower day 28.
this plant has become insanely stinky. well done humboldt! although it's day 41, I think it has 10 more days for sure. All trichomes are clear. This plant also fattened up much later than I'm used to seeing. at day 35 I was still worried about a small yield, but it's starting to look like it may be about average or better now.
diluting the mix down now at 900. these have a good bit of milky, but no amber, trichomes. will go another 5 days at least. the smell is incredible. the box is being shared with a hella jelly also day 45 flower. the BBM is the back right plant in the overview. the hella jelly is a little behind the bbm and may need more time.
