The hella jelly showed flowers on day 11, which was a little slow. I am new to soil and have less experience with photoperiods, so I've been running the nutrients low. Started upping the concentration this week. The jelly is sharing the box with a blueberry muffin in the back right.
chugging along. She has now filled out about half the box, so it was OK to have done the light switch at only day 23. really impressed with her growth this week.
ok this is a pretty ridiculous plant. I started 2 blueberry muffins originally. One didn't pop (my seed pop rate is not great: I need to work on this). thus, I decided to start an HJ seed, so it was 5 or 6 days behind the BBM. Even though it only had 23 days of veg, it is taking over the tent with chunky, beautiful buds. It seems no where near done, so i don't see a 45 day finish here. I am super stoked on this plant! oh yeah, it's been on 11 hours on since the mid 30s of flower. I'm intrigued by what i've read about the bump to the stink. this is overpowering my very legit filter.
it's a little slow, but I'm super pleased. It should be a good yielder of solid, golf ball shaped nugs. even the leafy stuff at the bottom of the plant is loaded with frost. smell is decadent. will report back at flower day 50. starting some autos for the next run: strawberry cheesecake auto and an ethos strain.....
In the day 47 shot, the hella jelly is the plant on the left. the back right plant is the blueberry muffin.
she looks really great. I've not grown a plant that looked so healthy from day 1 to the end. smell is just really sweet. I can't make out a specific fruit or anything, but overall, i'm very pleased with the smell. The yield looks to be pretty significant, especially since it was only in veg for 23 days. I'm considering chopping today, or soon. box is needed for the seedlings that are on deck!
@Golden, thanks so much! i can't quite peg the stink, but neither my partner nor I think it smells anything like traditional "weed." it's so interesting!! i've already grown jelly donutz, but this is more interesting in the flower stage.
@McGrowin, it's excellent! I've grown out a few mint jelly and also one jelly donutz. The jelly donutz was my first grow in soil, and the plant wasn't the healthiest. Out of all of those, the hella jelly is probably the least strong terp profile. It smells like a nondescript candy. It's sweet. The jelly donutz had a baked goods backing to it. The mint jelly was similar, but all three of mine had a strong mint smell that distinguished them from the hella jelly. The hella jelly is definitely a bright, do things strain, like a sativa I guess. I'm really happy with it. the sweet candy smell stays for about 3 puffs on a mighty, and there's some light smells after.
Wow buddy!! super nice buds
What an amazing grow so far - good job and well done 🤝
Happy Growing & cant wait for your upcoming weeks 🌱
