Day 1
Start seeds using paper towel method.
Day 3
Seeds transplanted into cocos medium in 17cm pots and given no nutrients yet. Lights set at 250w
Day 5
Seedlings emerge
Still no preflowers so another change of reservoir with no change to nutes. Plants getting pretty bushy now and starting to smell. Lights changed to 600w.
Two of the plants show female preflowers and one is showing male so I've culled the male. I'll check for preflowers everyday until the sex can be determined.
The lights got flipped to 12/12 cycle to start the blooming.
A slight nute change and small trim this week.
Finally all plants have revealed their sex and I'm left with three females. The plants got a trim removing the big fan leaves and spindly bottom growth to start the lollipopping .
Plants are starting to get some nice bud formation now and a good bit of funk. A bit more trimming and lollipopping, very sticky stuff already. Same nutrients this week.
Just a nute change this week with same levels as last week.Pistils are starting to turn red and some leaves showing a bit of a purple hue. Trichomes are still clear.
These girls a really smelly right now and very frosty. The trichomes are starting to go cloudy so with the reservoir change this week no nutes as this week they will get flushed ready for harvest next week.
The buds were a bit smaller than I would have liked but the strength of the buds made up for lack of size. Pretty easy strain to grow although be aware if you're after a stealthy grow these plants stink up a storm.
The high is a typical indica stone.
Although I've grown before this is my first grow diary. This is my first grow using known genetics from Souther Star seeds as I've used gifted unknown seeds before. Overall I'm a bit disappointed with the yield but happy with the quality of the smoke.
Hi @MrMunchies! A good defoliation is a slight defoliaiton, removing too many leaves at a time lead to stress & will stunt the growth. I usually recommend to start by 2~4 leaves per stem each week and see how the plant responds. If you select carefully the leaves that are creating shades and the ones that are essential to the plant and do it step by step, your defoliation will be a success and will increase your final yield.
