Two plants had a rough start and only one survived. Two plants had an easy start with a minor deformity to one. The rough start was because I tried to germinate 2 of the seeds in pure coco. One germinated and barely survived (photo of seedling with burnt edges) the other got stuck upside down trapped in its shell for too long and its root rotted. The easy start was because I germinated the seeds directly in the coco mixed with the living soil amendments. The soil had been cooking for about 18 days before germination. The seedlings color is perfect and they show no signs of stress. Hopefully things will go well.
They have really started to take off this week it seems (since this is my 1st grow I don't really know what to expect) after a little scare on day 10. I messed with #1 and #2 on day 9, pushed them up straight and tamped down the soil at their base. Came in the morning of day 10 and found them leaning over and almost touching the soil (should have let them go and LST from there) so I propped them back up and gave 'em a little support and turned up the fan. They never stopped growing or anything and probably could do without the support but I'll leave 'em til the stems bulk up. That should happen this week.
Other than that the only concerns I have now is how much water and how often? Right now I have been giving them 4 ounces per day in big circles around the plant for the last 3 straight days. Temperatures have been between 80 and 84 F with RH ranging from 59 to 67%. Their color looks good and I'm not seeing any signs of deficiency or anything else to give me concern. Peace. Thanks for checking out the grow @simps @melly @Poleeg1986 @iHateSativa @Bulbi @GrowThatLettuce
It has been a good week despite a little nitrogen burn, which doesn't seem to have slowed them down any. This strain seems as though it would be a good candidate for LST. They are really starting to branch and I have been doing some leaf tucking. I still don't know what I'm doing or what to expect so this grow is all about learning and not trying to kill 'em. Peace. @simps @melly @Poleeg1986 @iHateSativa @Bulbi @GrowthatLettuce @xaviaskunk @ChefDan420
It was a very good week. The plants more than doubled in size growing 6 inches and show their sex. All females and no hermies thankfully. They should really start to stretch this week and begin to flower by the end of this week. I can't wait to see what happens. Btw, I need to thin these bushes out a little. Anyone got some advice on which leaves I should be trimming? Peace. @xaviaskunk @Simps @melly @Poleeg1986 @iHateSativa @Bulbi @Growthatlettuce @ChefDan420 @Cabinriver @Spainauto
It seems that growth has slowed and flowering has started. I was hoping for more of a stretch. In anticipation of the beginning of flower they all got top dressed with 3 oz. of soil amendments and RO water with calmag. I saw a few brown spots and the new growth seems on the light side, hopefully, that will be corrected after a few feedings. Removed some of the inner leaves to improve circulation. Other than that, everything looks good, temperatures, humidity and CO2 all in a good range.
Okay. so last week I thought growth had stopped when flowering started. Well, I was wrong. They were in preflower and began to stretch. the runt, #2, grew 6 inches, 20 inches total height, during the week and outgrew her sisters whom came in at; #1, +3 inches, 16 inches total and, #3, +5 inches, 17 total inches. And they may not be done yet but they are probably getting close because it looks like they may be in full flower now.

End of week 7, day 49 update. I think they have finished their final stretch. Hopefully they start packing on some bud weight. Anyway, they seem to be doing well and are starting to put out some trichomes. I thinned out the foliage and exposed the bud sites to the light.
Has anyone ever fed their plants brown sugar dissolved in H2O? If so, how much per gallon?
Thanks for tuning in. Any questions or comments are greatly appreciated. Peace.
Looking nice. End of week 8, day 56 update. They are really starting to stack up the buds and the trichomes are starting to come out. Also the leaves are starting to put out some red colors. They should look amazing in a couple of weeks.
End of week 9 update. These plants have surprised me every step of the way and turned out to be some bud machines. #1 and #3 have tightly spaced nodes and the buds are stacked. Some are going to be 8 to 12 inches long. Once they start swelling up we'll see how thick they will get. I'm predicting some banana size buds. #2 is taller with more spacing between nodes and has buds from head to toe. She is going to produce a lot of nuggets. The purple color is deep and mesmerizing. I can't wait until harvest. Two more weeks maybe.
I added some pictures of the one other plant in my grow. She is a Fast Buds West Coast OG Auto. She is 11 days older than the OGK's but I never started a diary on her because I didn't think she was going to survive at all. Her name is Florence and she was born the week of the hurricane in September. She is the lone survivor of the first 5 seeds that germinated and died over the first week. But she hung in there and is about ready for harvest. She is only 15 inches tall but packed with frosty dank buds. I'm curious to see her final dry weight, there is some density to her buds. She is still swelling so a few more days at least.
Thanks for taking the time. All questions or comments are greatly appreciated. Happy growing everyone. Peace.

The leaves are turning and the buds are swelling.... and I can't wait to taste 'em. I think they may have another week or so to go. Thanks for stopping by and all questions or comments are greatly appreciated. Peace.
End of week 11, day 77 for the Sensible Seeds OG Kush Autos and we are done with our first grow. I was going to let #1 and #3 go a couple more days but because we had an ice storm come through yesterday I now have a tree lying in my driveway and I won't have much time for gardening the next couple of days so I went ahead and unplugged the light for the next 48 hours before I cut 'em down to dry. #2 was going to get pulled today regardless but the other 2 are close enough it shouldn't hurt 'em…. as a matter of fact I may have waited too long to harvest all of 'em but I wanted to push 'em and let 'em swell as much as possible. It will only get better with each grow.
Anyway, for a 1st grow everything went well, I learned a lot (got so much more to learn too), I didn't kill 'em all and I got some all the way to harvest. What that harvest will yield is anybody's guess.... I am hoping for 112 to 140 grams from the 3 plants. I will update with harvest results soon.
As always, questions, comments or critiques are welcome and greatly appreciated. Peace.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the results because this was my very first grow and I actually made it to a harvest. I learned a lot and I can't wait to learn some more. Anyway, these Sensible Seeds OG Kush Automatics were easy to grow, very hardy; I'm sure I under fed them and had the light too close. Still, they produced better than I expected. An experienced grower should be able to triple my results, easily.
This is a potent smoke, it starts out euphoric for 20 to 30 minutes before the indica kicks in and a body calming sensation washes over your body. If your on the couch you may want to stay there. If your up and moving you'll zone in to whatever it is your doing. Be careful not to over do it though if you don't want to crash and get heavy eyed. I think these were harvested at a good time for me since I prefer the sativa effects. And they will only get better with a longer cure. I'm going to try and let 'em cure for another 2 weeks before sample 'em again. The buds ranged in density by plant. #1 had the largest yield at 45g but turned out to be the airiest after the dry. #2 came in at 37g and had small dense buds. #3 weighed in at 39g and had the biggest and densest buds. Total: 121g or 4.3 oz.of pure kush madness.
Check out my new diary starting in a few days. Peace.00
@HighTV, no reason to leave, I like a quick wit. Sit, relax and Smowkabowl….. I once had a girl
Or should I say she once had me
She showed me her room
Isn't it good Norwegian wood?
She asked me to stay
And she told me to sit anywhere
So I looked around
And I noticed there wasn't a chair
I sat on a rug biding my time
Drinking her wine
We talked until two and then she said
"It's time for bed"
She told me she worked
In the morning and started to laugh
I told her I didn't
And crawled off to sleep in the bath
And when I awoke I was alone
This bird had flown
So I lit a fire
Isn't it good Norwegian wood?
Nice harvest bro. I'm about 4 weeks out on the harvest of my Auto Kush. I have my next grow ready also but this plant put me behind schedule. Good luck with your next grow.
@@cylentknight, I saw, she looks awesome and she should give you some nice meds. I appreciate the kind words. I'm excited to start this new crop, I've changed my media mixture and planted 9 beans. I hope to get 100% germination and take them all to the finish. We should know within the next 48. Peace.
@cabinriver, looking back at the pictures and it looks like I started, to take a few fans every 3 or 4 days, around week 5. I need to go back and look at my notes and the pictures, I think I may have had my lights too close. I've seen some video since that makes me think I over did it. Peace.
Nice job on your first grow. If you're going to go with soilless again in the future, hit me up in chat and I'll give you some info on great cost effective options. Now about your CO₂ ... it won't hurt anything but inder 675w of COBs its not really doing much. CO₂ is great if your plants are getting close to or over 1000 μmols since that maxes out what the plants can convert to energy without supplemental CO₂. It's probable that you're not getting that much unless you have one of the new Fluence Spydr fixtures! Anyway, great effort and welcome to the family :)
@NewbieMJ00, appreciate the info. I will definitely thin them out for increased air flow but I think I just want to keep the stress to a minimum and learn my grow room, nutrients and how the plants grow and progress and hope I make it to harvest. I'm sure I will start to do more training as I grow in experience and confidence. For now I'll just do some leaf tucking and some defoliation. I'll check out your last journal too. Peace.
@Smowkabowl, I’m thinking a bit longer than 4 weeks if it’s just starting to show pistils now. Flowering is usually like 6 weeks or longer with autos but your strain could be really quick depending on genetics. What does breeder say?
@RyukyuFarmer, yeah mine too, I have another plant in my grow that is about 11 days older than the OGKs and she had a calmag deficiency so I started giving these calmag before they started showing badly. Did you do the super soil or complete mix with Nature's Living Soil?Peace.
@Smowkabowl, ah thats good to know, I also have used natures living soil with good results. I did end up adding some calcium and magnesium as my strain was a very hungry for it.
Well this is painful. I wanted to like this site. I really did. But it kind of feels like data entry. I feel like I have to link to all the products and where do I put that they’re sitting under 4 beautiful cobs in addition to the blurple. Where do I update midweek? Where do I go if my plant suddenly hermies? Or to bounce ideas off a community? Or to throw in a link to a cool song?
Looks pretty slick though.
@Smowkabowl,you’re right about searching by week. It’s also easy to find who else if growing your strain. But I don’t see too many other redeeming qualities. Yesterday I completed a week of journal and it gave me the ability to ask “a question”. Strange.
@davisgirl, your right, it's not AFN. That's what's sad about AFN, shitty programming. I like this site for the immediate look at weeks of info without having to search pages of a thread to see where they last updated. Sometimes I don't have time to read all the mundane chit chat. This site is simple to use but it doesn't feel as much of a community. This site does have some good prizes though for good diaries. Peace.
@ROM101, hell yeah, it's like waiting for Christmas to get here.... LOL. Speaking of which, she should be dried and cured by then, I will be having a Purple Christmas sitting by the fire with a bowl in hand, smoking some purely organic bud..... I'm dreaming of a frosty Christmas with sugary buds dancing through my head. Peace Rom.
That sure is a nice set of plants you have there. My plant has also shown some growth this week and I thought she was done.
Good luck and I'll be following along with your grow.
@cabinriver, I just did some leaf tucking and I removed a few leaves. I will probably do a little more shaping next time by spreading out the branches and thinning out the leaves sooner. I needed to watch 'em grow to see what's natural.
@vovaTHEKUSHMASTER, thanks master. your the 1st to mention Fe and that very well could be. I and others thought Ca and Mg so I started adding some Calmag + Fe to the water a week or so earlier than what you noticed. I am a newb and don't know anything and what I learned was, using coco and LEDs and RO water, I better be adding Cal Mag with Fe. Peace.
