copy/paste disclaimer: I started these diaries a bit late, and in order to enter into the competitions I'm starting them as single strain diaries to be eligible (as the note states when creating new diaries). Week two may come early, within the next few days for some, however from then on it would be as consistent to the day as possible. END OF DISCLAIMER. Initially I was going to grow Wedding Cake, however the seed stops sprouting and eventually just died before it had a chance. Once in a while it happens, anyone can get a dud seed and this time I did. I had a seed laying around, of Blueberry Gum #2, and despite the lower THC rating on the description I'm a fan of the genetics. The Mozzarella from my previous grow has really cured very nicely and so I'm willing to give G13 Labs another go with this. The biggest reason I chose this strain, apart from having it around, is the flowering time is listed at around 10 or so days earlier than the rest of the photos I'm growing at the same time. This should allow me to have around the same harvest day for all of them, which would be great since I'd be using the same tent to dry, since I had to germinate this one after the rest of them. I'm hoping their description of an acrid strawberry flavour, with citrus notes on the aroma, are spot on with this grow - that just sounds lovely to me, reminiscent of how a Strawberry Haze I grew tasted like.

I'm liking this one so far, and she seems to have a bit of a positive character. Her growth is keeping up with the others, and I am not worried at this moment regarding keeping the canopy even amongst the others. The white spots on the plant are due to me being reckless with adding Diatomaceous Earth as a top dressing for the soil. It's ultra fine powder so doesn't really come off (however I'm not too worried). I've sprayed all of the plants with Geisha Foliar. The feed chart says to implement it in Week 2 of flower, the bottle says Week 1. So for Blueberry Gum #2 she was sprayed during Week 1, and I'm monitoring the effects this spray has since I began using it rather late in the last grow. I'm rather eager to see how it affects the growth, since the claims are often corroborated with other growers in increasing flower bearing node sites yet I am still a bit skeptical.

Blueberry Gum #2 seems to be doing rather well. I'm considering keeping four node levels, for 8 main branches. Right now she's forming the fifth node, and I'll be waiting until the sixth before topping. She has been rather resilient and has not required much attention, despite me giving the attention regardless. Definitely not being temperamental right now, and this is what makes me happy about her. I can put more focus on the ones I'm worried would give issues. In terms of height, despite being germinated later (and starting Week 1 of veg 4 days after the others in the tent), her canopy is just as even; once I've topped her, I can imagine she would be much easier to train with a trellis net installed.

One day late for this upload. She's doing really well. The gaps in the trellis netting I have are too large for training well, so I've got some better netting coming tomorrow. This'll help spread the branches around. Overall she's behaving very nicely.

-LATE ENTRY, WEEK STARTED ON TUESDAY 28/11 PIC FROM WEDNESDAY MORNING- Bit late updating this, however this is the week meant to start on the Tuesday that has passed. She's growing really well, and honestly I can't really pick out any issues whatsoever. She's not overly eager in growth, not too small either, and sort of behaving like a Goldilocks strain in the way she's growing. Very small amount of pistils right now, if I look under some leaves at node sites, however I would not call it the start of flowering until I can clearly see pistils spread out a bit.

-I am calling today day 1 of flower, as I decide this part of the schedule on the pistil growth and when they are 'established' within their growth, before spurting out more and spreading.- Blueberry Gum #2 is just doing her own thing, happily. She's not asking for much, and is just growing well without issue. I can't fault her, she's not even drooped her leaves nor been affected by any temperature or humidity changes. Light distance doesn't seem to phase her either, she's just happily thriving. Good genetics.

-WEEK START FROM 12/12, PICS FROM 13/12- There is some exciting news regarding this Blueberry Gum #2.... One of her branches shows signs of FASCIATION!!! Extra chromosomes. This is an entirely natural mutation, which is rather rare to experience. I just opened my tent and there it was! I'm excited to see how she develops, however so far it's going rather well. She continues to just vibe, without a bother.

-WEEK STARTED ON 19/12 / PICS FROM 20/12- Blueberry Gum #2 is continuing to do rather well. Her stretch is of course slowed by a considerable amount, and she has begun building her flowers from the base of her pistil sites. So far I'm rather happy with her; she has shown great growth without problems. Despite her shorter stature, she has been consistent from germination to topping, to maintaining a good canopy with a sort of goldilocks stretch (in the sense that it was not too much, not too little - just right for the pistils to make good contact for chunkier colas). Whilst mainlining is not my thing, it hurts me to look at, I cannot deny that this growth and forming bud structure tell me Blueberry Gum #2 may be the perfect candidate for such projects. Right now however, I am rather pleased overall and have absolutely zero faults regarding her at this moment - however I suspect the yield to not be considerable, yet time will tell and I am so far still happy. She has a mild aroma when lightly handled, which is sweet with the berry terps starting to come through. It's still very early, which means the terpene profile most certainly has time to develop any skunky or gassy traits. I'm eager to see which ones this leans to.

-WEEK STARTED 26/12 PICS FROM SAME DAY- Blueberry Gum #2 is looking nicer and nice as time goes on. She is forming spear shaped colas on her flowering sites, and there are at least 8 at canopy level. She has not been giving much issues at all, however I suspect they're asking for stronger feed. I do not wish to go too high on CalMag though, since my solution (and most) contain nitrogen and I believe she has enough of that. Overall I'm not worried too much. Her fasciation is very cool and looking great so far. Both of those heads are on one, single branch as a double-headed top! Still rather happy with the mutation.

-WEEK STARTED ON 02/01 - PICS FROM 03/01- Blueberry Gum #2 is starting to chunk out quite nicely. Her colas are forming as spears, and generally doing quite well. There has been some yellowing of leaves, and I am using Shogun nutrients which stated to lower the feed at this stage. I am choosing not to as it is obvious she requires a bit more feed. I'm *fascinated* to see the progress of the *fasciation* (heh), with this double-headed top showing a lot of pistil growth. I'm eager to open my tent to see how she's doing here every time.

-WEEK STARTED 09/01, PICS FROM 10/01- Her nug structure is really forming nicely, like small snow-capped pine trees. The fasciated head from the double-headed top is shooting a lot of new pistils above, on the 'mohawk', yet the pistils underneath appear to be maturing at a much faster rate. This is absolutely fascinating to see. The bud from the fasciated site is definitely more 'flat' than bulbous, even as the calyxes of the other tops are filling out. I don't think the fasciation will provide great flower upon harvest, however I am very intrigued to witness the outcome of this natural mutation regardless. I had read about the high risk of mould with these, so I am certainly keeping a close eye on any sign of either mildew or budrot as I would not want such a thing to spread. The rest of the tops seem to be coming along very nicely, and there are eight primary branches within canopy height. She has begun fading with some leaves, which I am periodically removing when they become weak.
