Pros:
- OK growth
- barely had to defoliate
- frosty
- hard nuggs on top, but also lower ones are OK considering they didn't get much light because I placed to many plants in my tent.
Cons:
- advertised XXL yield by RQS is a joke, straight up lies, not only on my plant, pretty much on all diaries I've seen.
- advertised 65-70 days is a nope, only harvested because I needed space for my TRUE XXL Northern Lights.
- advertised terpenes are a nope for me, smells nothing like it, mine smells fresh
blue cheese (gagged)
- I expected uniformity with F1's, if you look for other Orion F1 grows you will see each looks different.
Overall I do NOT recommend the Orion F1
Update 25.01.24
After some weeks of curing the taste and smell totally changed, it smells like candy now, taste is great, THC is pretty high and super sativa, zero indica feeling.
Overall still wouldn't recommend to buy it, there are better strains (for me).

Did or did not do something, I don't know, would not recommend or advise against it.
Lights
Bad light spread for a 2x4 if you place it in the middle you only have a fraction of the light on the sides, 1000ppfd to 600ppfd or so when close.
The solution would be to place it higher with more intensity to spread the output BUT if you plants go big and you can't give more distance you are fucked.
2 of these in a 2x4 and then dim it down would be a good option to increase efficiency due to cooler running and better light spread overall.
Tents
Lacks bottom ducting holes, no option to add intake filtered air with a filter box for example.
Other than that a solid tent.
Chop Day 23.11.23, week 11.
Overall a easy grow but nothing like advertised.
Mainly chopped it partially to make space for the huge Northern Lights, will update this harvest log when the rest comes down as well.
Update:
Week 13 - 05.12.23
Did the final harvest of the rest of the plant.
133g after wet trim, 382g total wet weight.
Left a stump with a single flower to see when and if it dies because it is in the same tube as the Northern Lights.

Hi, one of my Northern Lights has rust spots and red stems for weeks, the other one started 2 days ago.
Only in top 1/3 of the plant
I am running in NFT changed the reservoir 1 week ago.
My nutes are mixed to 1.8 EC with 20% Orange 30% Yellow 50% CalcinitDetails + pics in week 11

Hello my friend, you can clearly see that the growers below do not know what a NFT system is XD I use ebb and flow myself.
But I would refresh my nutrient solution for a last time and lower the EC to 1.5 to prevent further nutrient burning and a faster nutrient uptake.
When you do not want to change your nutrients (and I would also not do this in the last weeks) then there is not much else that you can do.
And my biggest issue is always the sneaky pH rising in my system. That is why I use Canna Aqua now. Problem solved but this is always a problem to keep an eye on!

To be fair many of those growing Orion on growdiaries are first-timers like me who got their seeds for free during promotion, so I wouldn't expect F1 uniformity here :) Great job! How much were you able to harvest? 🙏

@einamio, so far I harvested 249g after a rough wet trim, that is about 2/3 of the plant, had to leave the rest because my Northern Lights are not ready yet and they are in the same tube, don't want it to rot in there :D
When I compare the Orion in size/weight with the Northern Lights I expect a wet harvest of 1kg+ each.
