In a small bachelor apartment, I have set up one tent for Veg and one to Flower . They both use HEPA air intakes with quite running fans. Both tents use Ac infinity inline fans to vent outside though backdraft dampers.
Using local mountain water, ph to 7.0 , I have germinated seeds with paper towel inside small paper cups Placed on a high shelf inside a dark closet, the average temp is 75f and the RH is at 45%
Some seeds failed to germinate , might have been my fault. Made a second run at germinating seeds and was successful, 5 days later and I have placed the sprouts , tap root down into 2cm of soil that was lightly sprayed with filtered mountain water (ph 6.8) and covered loosely.
This is day one of the tent setup running on low air in/out , fan on low . One light running at 25% for 16 hours .
Seedlings have sprouted and doing well . The blueberry got stuck in the shell, after 2 days I soaked it with a spray bottle and gently pulled off the shell , the skin inside the shell stuck the cotyledon leaves together and proved much harder to remove . It was tense .
After a week I started feeding the seedling a light mix of Marinis seaweed juice , they seem to be very happy. I got the other light on and the heat is now at 76 daytime and 71 at night . I am using a Brita filter on my water now , it usually has a ph of around 8 .
After the filter the water ph is lowered to 6.8 . So I use less ph down and the filter makes that easy pz . I checked with my PH meter and the results were consistent between filtered and non filtered water. I have decided to set up a 3rd tent in my closet using the
Vivosun GrowTent 3x2 S326 with a Vivosun AeroLight Wing AW200SE that uses a 4 inch Vivosun inline fan and controller .
Thanks to blackfriday deals on the Vivosun.ca website . I should now have enough room for all these plants .
bubba kush -lookin really nice the leaves are green . One is really taking its time .
purple kush - both growing the fastest , but the leaves seem slightly yellow
cherry cookies - both are doing well, but the leaves are slightly yellow
blueberry - recovering and growing real leaves , but they are looking more yellow than green .
I added 1/2 tbsp of Gaia Green All porpose to each , and watered .
apricot kush- doing very well , the leaves are green. I started training them with landscape staples to seperate them from each other.
I top dressed with 1.5 tbsp of GG all porpose then watered. The middle plant has a nice node structure andis growing well.
The left and right were seeds I though did not make it but I am glad they did , hoping I get al least 1 female .
I have the feeling 2 of them might be female . The Middle and left .
Growing well , the purple kush and cherry cookies might have light burn . The leds are running at 40% . I changed the lighting distance from 14 inches to 24 inches.
Reading that when growing with LED's, plants take up more magnessium . 1 tbsp of Epsom salts top dressing every week is recommended . Not sure if this was light burn or lack of nutrients
Transplanted into 15 gallon pots. Soil is premixed with Gaia Green All porpose and Power bloom .
Lights at 50% 2 feet away . Average enviroment is 77f / 71 RH during the day and 69f / 70 RH at night .
I started to defoliate and tuck some leaves . I have also added diamatomacious earth to the top layer , then filled the pots with more soil . I noticed some gnats flying around, it is from the peatmoss I used as it was outside all summer unsealed and wet .
