this is the Strawberry Cheesecake Auto purchased directly online from Humboldt Seed Company. I've grown mint jelly a few times and excited to try some of their other autos! started in a rapid rooter and then transplanted directly into a 3 gallon fabric pot for use in an autopot. The plant is sharing a 2x2 super closet with a single pineapple runtz auto from ethos. happy growing y'all!
not the fastest auto i've grown, but she's got deep green, healthy leaves.
nutrient concentration was upped on day 12. the autopot was turned on day 11.
really healthy, green plant. deep, deep green. just a little slow on the grow, but otherwise I'm really happy.
may have some kind of flowers forming? will report back soon once we confirm that she's a she.
growth accelerated significantly after about day 18. looking good now, with nascent flowers all over. she has some robust lateral branching and has developed 4 or 5 shoots at an equal height. I started using bloom nutrients on day 22.
have still literally done no Lst at all. she just grew into this incredibly compact plant, but with what appear to me will be some super big, dense nugs.
putting on some weight and oil now. it's really stinky for this early in the grow!
also, got a new lens for my cell phone from apexel. i'll start adding some trichome macro shots.
does have some nutrient burn, so I lowered it below 500ppm on flower day 52. pretty sensitive, but she's gorgeous and definitely packing weight for such a compact plant.
it's got a good bit of amber or amber-turning trichomes by day 69. I will probably chop about day 72 to 74. the older flowers on the plant have turned a deep purple (and show the most amber trichomes). I have never smoked a true cheese strain, but this surely smells straight up like cheese. it's a small plant, with a short footprint, but she has huge, chunky buds. I'm very interested to see the yield.
this was quite a journey for me. i went from marginally happy to incredibly impressed over the course of this grow. the yield for the given space is going to be off chart, at least for my grow history. It also has an incredible, rancid cheese smell that is followed, shockingly, by a kind of sweet aftertaste. For some perspective, I think this may be a superior auto to the mint jelly (i've grown three of these beans out). smoke report and final conclusion to come!
