UPDATE 18/01/24
Day 39 of vegetation
And just like that, disaster strikes.
The slight break in the stem turned out to be a huge problem as the plant tried to grow. I took a hands off approach as I understand I'm applying a lot of stress so I thought leaving her to do her own thing and work around the tear would work but unfortunately, it didn't.
Checked this morning for a water and the entire arm is dying. No real option but to snip her so we just lost a 1/4 of the yield.
These things are always a risk when doing high stress techniques and I'll learn for next time from this.
Onwards and upwards, she will still be magnificent in the end and hopefully will just produce bigger yields from the fruiting sites that will be available.
UPDATE 14/01/24
Day 35 of vegetation
Yet another smooth week!
Been a full week of recovery since the last round of tops and she has recovered really well.
Colour still perfect and growth is nice and steady, tops pushing out their second nodes now so will be ready for another round of topping by the end of week 6.
I did a slight boo boo and break a branch while pinning down but its a very slight break and she will recover fine I'm sure (pictured).
I think at this point by the time I've grown out to 8 tops I'll have lost all patience with veg so I'll probably flip when the 8 tops have all established.
See you next Sunday folks!
@myterpygarden, been some challenges with the losses but you're right it's down to the strong branches haha
It's been amazing to work with I'm so happy with her going into flower π
