Outdoor Hydro Cali Gold 22nd December 2023 Hi all 😀 the Cali gold plant is growing quite well. 👊 the roots have almost reached the bottom of the net pot and into the aerated 1/4 strength nutrient solution. Once it does I expect some rapid growth . 😎 I put a frozen water bottle in each day to keep the nutrient solution a bit cooler but will need to start using 2 or 3 each day once the plants roots are in the solution. That is all for this weeks update and before I go , I would like to wish you all a very merry and safe Christmas 🙏 Thanks for stopping by 👍

Outdoor Hydro Cali Gold 29th Dec 2023 FUCK YEAH!! Last week I mentioned how I expected this plant to flourish once it's roots reached the nutrient solution. And she certainly did not let me down 💪 I only used 1/4 stregth nutes for the initial mix but will up that to 1/2 strength next change . I will need to top her soon too so that she can develop new nodes before flowering begins next month . Thanks again for stopping by 👍

Outdoor Hydro Cali Gold 5th Jan 2024 Happy New Year 👊 Cali gold is growing really well , i have been swapping out frozen bottles of water atleast 5 times a day . This is to keep the nutrient solution temp as low as I possibly can because oxygen levels decrease the warmer the solution gets . Also root rot is an issue if not managed . Thanks for stopping by 👍

Outdoor Hydro Cali Gold 12th Jan 2024 Hey all 😀 It was a very very Hot week here so I moved the plant out of the sun during the day and have been using a growlight to provide the light it needs at night when the temp drops. Next week it will be moved back outside but in a shaded area with better airflow. I topped her 5 days ago and already she has new growth that is thriving. Thanks for stopping by 👍

Outdoor Hydro Cali Gold 19th jan 2024 Hi 😀 This girl has been growing well despite the heat. I have had to bring it in again out of the sun because the next few days are going to be above 45 degrees. She is starting to drink more and more as she develops and she should be ready to flower around the same time my other outdoor plants start . 👊 as usual Thankyou for stopping by 👍

Outdoor Hydro Cali Gold 26th Jan 2024 Hi all , She's been back outside this week despite the fucking Hot as hell weather. I have been keeping her out of direct sun as it only heats up the solution too much resulting in low oxygen levels and the possibility of root problems beginning . This will probably be the last week of normal vegetation as I believe it will begin the stretch into flowering very soon. I wonder how big she'll get? hopefully It will provide a nice yield of bud at the end of the grow. That is all for this week , Thankyou once again for stopping by 👍

Outdoor Hydro Cali Gold 2nd Feb 2024 Gday all 😀 As you can see from the pics , I have her back in the tent for a day or two as the wind has been an issue lately. Once it dies down I'll move her back outside . She has started her stretch and I was shocked by the extremely strong odor coming off of her when I opened the tent this morning even tho she is still in veg , she absolutely pongs!!! Well thanks again for stopping by 👍

CALIFORNIAN GOLD DWC 9th Feb 2024 She is exploding now 😀 I have had to refill the nutrient tank twice this past week as she is drinking like a Camel . The smell eminating from her is fantastic and considering she still hasn't set flowers yet , I am anticipating an even stronger aroma when she does 😛 Not much else to talk about , so I'll sign off and let the pics do the talking. Thankyou for stopping by 👍

Californian Gold DWC 16th Feb 2024 She still seems to be stretching 😶 I have had to refill the resevoir twice this week , so she has basically drank 40 Litres 💪 Great looking plant with very healthy leaves and hopefully she starts to pump out some nice sticky buds very soon. 👊 Cheers for stopping by 👍

Californian Gold DWC 23rd Feb 2024 A day late sorry, This past week was the hottest I have experienced so far this summer , and that is saying something! Last Sunday , it got to 48.4 celcius 😕 The bitumen on the roads was melting , Birds were taking shade wherever they could with their beaks open basically struggling with the heat. 😔 Anyway , so despite the heat this plant still looks very healthy and continues to stretch and develop in size . I am wondering whether this particular light ( Viparspectra P400 ) has enough red leds to be good for flowering ? It's been a fantastic veg light , but it just seems that this plant is slow to initiate flowering. Has anybody had a similar experience? If it doesn't start flowering soon I will have to probably either swap out the light for a Mars 200w of put it back outside to flower naturally , but heat could be an issue. Anyhoo , That is all for this week . Cheers for stopping by 👍

CALIFORNIAN GOLD DWC 1st March 2024 It's the 1st day of Autumn Downunder. Not that you would know it considering it is still well over 40 degrees most days. As you can see in the pics above , The plant is back outdoors as the tent was getting far too hot and for some reason she wasn't beginning to flower like I would have expected . Instead she has just kept stretching. If it quickly transitions into flowering mode , my hypothesis that the grow light I was using lacks red light will be a lot more feasable. I have run a power cord up to the garden so that she can continue to recieve aeration via an aquarium air pump and I will continue to add frozen bottles of water to the nutrient solution thruout the day to decrease solution temps. Thanks for stopping by 👍

CALIFORNIAN GOLD DWC 8th March 2024 Well G'day again This is the bitch that just isn't ready to flower 😐 I am finally seeing her preflowers , so it shouldn't be too much longer 😏 She has been drinking heaps and heaps of water , so much in fact that I have only been adding plain ph'd water most of the time . Ive noticed that a slight change in colour is starting to appear on some leaves , so a full feed nutrient mix will be done tomorrow . 💪 Well thanks for stopping by 👍

CALIFORNIAN GOLD DWC 15th March 2024 Well Fuck me , she is finally bloody flowering 😆 I was starting to worry she wouldn't 😂 Sorry for the crappy pics , I just couldn't be bothered taking the net off and then putting it back on . Next week I'll take better ones without the insect netting 👌 She is drinking like a fish still so I have been busy mixing fresh solution to add to the resevoir every 2nd day. See ya next week and cheers for stopping by 👍

CALIFORNIAN GOLD DWC 22nd March 2024 Fully in flowering mode now 🙏🙏 👉A few weeks back I started to reverse two different lower branches . I used STS on one branch by spraying just the one time and it took about 3 weeks all up to start seeing balls developing. 👉The other branch I sprayed everyday for 10 days with Colloidal silver and it too took 3 weeks all up to start showing signs of reversal So they both take about the same time to reverse a female , however the STS method is a lot easier because of only needing to spray the one time. The real test now is to ascertain which method produces the most visible pollen I can use for pollination and the making of fem seeds. Thats about it for this weeks update 😎 Thankyou for stopping by 👍

CALIFORNIAN GOLD DWC 29th March 2024 I am pretty happy with this one tbh She should really bulk up I'm hoping 💪 Smells amazing already and is still drinking heaps. During last week I ran out of hydro nutes so she sucked what she needed from the a few leaves , nothing major tho . I am trying something new for me , it's a bulking formula that replaces the usual flowering nutes . I just need to add some go green which is high in calmag & iron and low in nitrogen and she should be sweet!! Thanks as usual for stopping by 👍

CALIFORNIAN GOLD DWC 12th April 2024 This one went so fast , I'm thinking it will be ready in 2 weeks just looking at the trichomes and calyx development. It smells fucking amazing!! and is pretty bloody well covered in triches too 💪 I reckon I'll continue with the extreme boost for 1 more week and then change out the res with just plain water with a little hydrogen peroxide mixed in until chop time. I'll make that desicion this time next week. Thanks again for stooping by 👍

CALIFORNIAN GOLD DWC 19th April 2024 8 Weeks of flowering finished and I have emptied the rez and refilled with plain rainwater . I don't know how important ph'ing the water is for the flushing week but just to be sure , I dropped it to 5.7 👌 She sure smells good and the harvest window is fast approaching . I'll give her as many days as she needs to finish up and I'll cut her down . See ya's next week and Thanks again for stopping by 👍

CALIFORNIAN GOLD DWC 25th April 2024 Lest we Forget She has had a full week of just water and the fade is happening fast. I am going to give her just a little bit longer to mature as the trichomes aren't at their sweet spot yet which is roughly 2 in every 10 having turned amber . I find that pretty good for Indica dominant hybrids . Cheers for stopping by 👍
