Just started my first grow. I1 placed the light high in the tent and the leaves slightly turned yellow. I lowered it yesterday to 18” over the top on the plants. Just wondering if I am on the right track to solve the issue. The plants are still growing. Minimal nutrients 1ml/gal.
Is this nutrient burn? Plant 2 has 1080 ppm the other which is healthy has 920 ppm. The light is 15” for the top. What do you think the appropriate ppm should be? I attached both plants growing side by side.
1.2-1.5 EC .. ppm from tds pens are calculated numerous ways.. therefore the numbers could be very confusing depending on which equipment you used. Use EC. It is the same measurement regardless of equipment used. If you calculated ppm from guaranteed analysis labels, that is okay too. if that's the casee, 600-750ppm. If you tightly control environment and supplement CO2 up to 1200-1300ppm, you can probably go higher. it will match the accellerated growth potential. 1-1-2 npk ratio and 4-2-1 K-Ca-Mg with S around 100ppm and trace elements likely included in your hydro nute base prodcut.. at an overall concentration around 1.2-1.5 EC is a great place to start, then small adjustments based on observations. the symptoms will be very easly discernable from this starting point, if you see any at all. We can only allow it to reach its genetic potential.. we cannot force or cause anything beyond that... what we do amounts to no stepping on our own dicks or flaps vs some special method that can polish a turd into a diamond. what we do is 5-10% of the total.
