23/12/23 - Day17 : Tips are looking a little yellow again, I really need to follow my own advice and go completely water only on the next watering. No Magne-Cal + I think the RQS organic boost is enough without any further nutrients at this stage. 24/12/23 - Day18 : Tips are more yellow and a little bit of curling upwards. I have done a full watering with 1 litre of plain tap water with no Magne-Cal + this time around to see if I can flush some of these extra nutrients that I think are causing this. 25/12/23 - Day19 : Merry Christmas and she has taken another boost in size, but still continuing to see yellowing leafs and some curling of the leafs upwards. Google suggests this could be heat stress or nutrient burn, so I have stopped using nutrients for now and have moved the LED lamp to further away from the plants. It may cause stretching, but I suspect that's better than burning, who knows, this is all guess work for me at the moment. I'm going to try the questions function on here to see if I can get some ideas on how to resolve these issues and see if there is anything I should be doing different. 26/12/23 - Day 20 : It's just another day, but they look healthier already from just using water and nothing else. I have also raised my lights a little but going from Scrubbyjimbob's advice in my questions I am going to raise it quite a bit more in line with spider farmer's recommendation which I wasn't aware of. Also, m0use's advice regarding heat management and diluted nutrients was good. I have adjusted the tent somewhat, I have removed one of my big fans and kept a small usb fan to circulate air and turned my inline fan up to produce more airflow which in turn has reduced the temps down to about 28c during light hours. I have also adjusted my home assistant automations to turn the fan off if it gets too cold or dry and back on again when needed. I find my nighttime temps are quite a bit lower and my humidity quite high when the lights are off, but I guess that's because the LED is no longer producing heat, which evaporates the humidity. All guess work here. 27/12/23 - Day 21 : Going into week 4 strong. She is looking better with just water again today. Let's see what the next week brings. Starting to consider LST as I hope to see a big increase in size this next week. Maybe put up the scrog net. What's people's thoughts on topping autos? Is it worth it ? My tent is small so it may be a good shout.

I am getting leaf curling and yellowing on my 3-week-old Hulkberry plant. I suspect nutrient burn, even though I am using what was recommended by my local grow shop and also RQS's website. I have reverted to water only and raised the light higher. Anything else?

The canoeing of your leaves suggests heat/light stress. From what I've found Spider Farmer recommends 18-24 inches @ 75% during veg for the SF-1000.

Still seeing leaves yellowing from tips and from bottom of plant upwards. Using only plain water now. What am I missing here? Other plants are starting to have the same issues. All on same feeding and watering schedule. Could this be a defitiency instead of too much nutrients?

More nitrogen at the least.

Looks to me like they are getting to hot, taco leaves are a tell tail sing, 28c daytime with no fan is a bit much, need to keep the air moving and try and cool it down a bit. ....[][][].... RH at 45% is not ideal but is still within the range of normal in veg I like to see RH aorund 60%. ....[][][].... When growing in coir you should know it is void of nutrients and needs everything provided to it, that's macros and micros NPK CaMgS ZnFe exct.. without it the plant will suffer. ....[][][].... I think your lights height is on point now, its time to fix the feeding and get it watered. With coir and liquid nutrients you want some runoff to avoid any salt build up. PH can be between 6-6.4, there is no reason to have the PH so low around 5.8 as if something happens and the PH drifts then its much closer to danger zone of causing bigger issues. All hydro nutrients can be taken in by the plant in a range of aorund 5.8-6.8 they are readily available and work in a wide range, why limit yourself and titter on the edge of PH lockout. Use a TDS pen to get the EC or PPM of the feeding solution this will let you know how much your giving, can monitor runoff to ensure its not to much or to little. ....[][][].... Good Luck!

Seems hot and dry in your tent...I'd be boosting that humidity to 60-65% with temps that high

Thanks Ultraviolet for the really well put together response to my question. So some things that I got from that response were. I wasn't getting any run off when watering my plants as I assumed as they are in large pots at the start they wouldn't need lots of water. My soil, which is a coco-coir / perlite 70/30 pre-mix was also seeded with RQS Easy Boost which says that you put it in at the start, and it should last for 10–12 weeks. It also states on the site you shouldn't need any other nutrients, but they have a RQS combo pack too which they recommended using along with the easy boost. This is 1 tablet for veg and two for bloom, I split the one tablet between three plants using the water mix they recommend., It was a few days after this first feed that I noticed the leafs tips burnt, so I stopped using it and used just water for the next week, but it seemed to get worse. I ended up flushing the plants in the bath tub the other day until it started running clear. The leaves looked a lot healthier for a couple of days, but they are back to starting to yellow again, so I suspect you may be right on the idea this could be a nutrient deficiency instead of being overloaded with nutrients, which I first assumed was the issue. I have attached a copy of my RH and Temp for the last week above to show the fluctuations in temp. Did see one huge humidity spike mid-week but seems to have settled, I suspect the huge increase in humidity was when I flushed the girls. I have my inline fan set to go on if the humidity goes above 70, should I maybe lower this so it comes on earlier and allows the tent to dry out more?
