This is my first autoflower and grow. Germinated in water for 24hr. Then placed it between a wet kitchen napkin inside a ziplock bag for 24hr. Planted the seed 3 cm below soil. Will not be watering so no suffocation. Day 2 The plant is growing it's now 4.5cm tall. The stem looks a little stretched so I lowered the lights by 10cm to 51cm. The first baby leaf, one of them has a yellow patch, not sure why but I know that it falls off eventually. If anyone can clarify that would be great. :) Day 3 It's growing longer it's now 7cm. Conditions are good I've realized the new leafs have grown a little. No watering the soil still seems moist. Day 5 The height is at 9cm Conditions are in good range. No watering Day 7 New nodes are growing things are looking good. I still haven't watered it as the medium is still damp. I raised the lights back to 61cm (24inch) as I realized the leafs were curling a little. End of first week !!!

Day 8 Plants looks good growing however at a slow pace. Conditions are good still haven't watered her as the medium is still damp, will wait till it gets completely dry. As well no feeding yet, but maybe will start giving her a 50% nutrients in a couple of days. Day 10 Plants growing more looks like another node is on its way up. As for watering it's getting dry but mifhtght leave it for another day.

Day 14 Plants growing well, I gave her some water yesterday. Will be giving her as suggested 1/4 nutrients tomorrow. Just got my temp and humity controller in the mail and have set it up. (Temp not below 20c and humidity is set to 65. ) Day 18 Transplanted her to a 5gal fabric pot. Had her stretch covered. And gave her 1/4 nutrients. Day 20 The plants seem to stop growng and I am not sure reason anyone can suggest anything. Day 21 Still growth has slowed down tremendously.

This week showed slow signs of growth after transplanting. Thanks for the advise from the community, it was best if I planted it straight to its final pot. To avoid shocking the plant.

She's growing well, not as fast as I thought. Fed her nutrients today at half strength. Let's see how she does this week. I checked runoff of pH and it was 5.8. how to adjust pH to be in optimal range?

She is growing fine. I have found some bugs inside. Thankfully I had the sticky yellow tape hanging around. Watered her so far and will be feeding in 2 days.

After the slow growth and recovery it has started to show good health. I have realized my ventilation wasn't enough. Now I have everything hooked up to a inline fan with a carbon filter. Gave it 1/4 of the required nutrients on pH 6.2.

This weak was very interesting for me, as the community made me noticed I might not have an auto flower seed. So I've decided to switch the lights to 12/12. I've been watering only this whole week as I've been told to flush before giving them the Bloom nutrients.

This week after watering and switching 12/12, had the medium dry out. Then fed her minimum dose of Bloom schedule. Done more LSTing and defoliating. As well removed discolored leaves and any lower growth that won't see the light of day. My week bloom feeding schedule was nutrients then 2 days later just water at Ph 6.4 (from my RO filter) then another 2 days nutrients. Alternating with water and nutrients, still at half recommended bloom dosage.

Wanted to know when is the best time to defoliate. As well what is the best practice ?

I generally defoliate right before I flip to flower to clean the plant up and ensure good airflow. I also strip the bottom 1/3rd of the plant of all growth as during flower that growth won't really develop very well. I defoliate again at day 21 of flower again making sure there's plenty of airflow and making sure no bud sites are covered. Any growth that looks really small and underdeveloped I will strip off the bottom of the plant for the same reason as before. After this last defoliation, you should wind up with a nice canopy that has all the bud sites exposed and a lot of space for air movement between the buds to help prevent mold and other moisture related issues.

She seems happy will continue to feed her every other day with minimum dose. Looking forward to see her grow her fruits this week. One of the leaf shows sign of a deficiency not sure what. I believe its calcium. (Update, was brought to my attention that I probably spilt some nutrients while feeding her, as it's the only leaf that shows these signs.)

Approaching end of 4 weeks flowering. She is looking good after some defoliation. Same schedule for feeding, however I have upped the recommended dose to 11ml per gallon at pH 6.2 and she has responded nicely, will be increasing to full recommended dose at next feed.

She's fruiting nicely, a month past half way through flowering. Will be increasing to Max dosage for this feed only, as I will have to begin decreasing back on dosage before end of flower. Same feeding schedule but I have increased the days between feeds by an extra day. ( Was given a tip to starve her a little).

Hey bro she sure looks nice and full!! Are you sure shes an auto? I doubt shes ever gonna flower if you dont flip to 12/12. I see you have little babies growing along so flipping wont be an option. She should be covered in buds and ready to harvest by now. Ive had it happen before and it sucks chopping down a girl after all the nutrients and training. You can always put her in a dark closet for 12 hours everyday. I did this once and worked well. Was glad it was over when it was time to harvest tho hahha. Goodluck bro, curious what your next step will be.

@ArucambaAutoflowers297, You had me questions my source of seed, thanks for that :) you made me pay attention to something I had in mind. So I switched the switch! I'll probably take the baby with her on the flowering journey as I don't have enough time for another cycle. This has prolonged more than I expected . Thanks for stopping by :)

You are experiencing Chlorosis(yellowing) caused by a Sulfur deficiency in my opinion. I'm looking at Sulfur because the chlorosis bleeds from the inside of the leaf towards the tips and your newer growth is effected. Adding 1-2 tsp of Epsom Salts per gallon of water can fix this issue. Also decreasing your PH to around 6.2 can help give access to the Sulfur needed 6.5 is to high. Here is an article about it from your seeds breeder RQS. https://www.royalqueenseeds.com/blog-sulphur-deficiency-in-cannabis-plants-n598

@Masryflip, I would be doing the PH between 6.0 and 6.5 right now. You want it to go through a window of PH's but not to far out either side. If you are starting at 6.5 PH it might be at 7 by the time you do another feed.
Masryflip
Masryflipcommented6 years ago
@HighTV, thanks for the observation and resource, thought the color was normal at the beginning and then it darkens up. Will be lowering the pH . What's is optimal pH for soil?

Luckily it's finished now. Very strange, this glitch in nature. My expierience with their genetics with this strain is totally different, i tried a couple of 'm, and i could litteraly do anything with them, i broke stems to make shapes on one of 'm (High stress training) and it still yielded a whole bunch of dank bud. Try contacting RQS, maybe they know what's happening, but it's also very possible that some disease or pest caused the change of nature of your auto. The bud does look dank though. Keep up the good work!

@Smokwiri, Thanks for stopping by. Yeah i did go through some issues however lesson learnt and looking forward for my next one by the end of the month as its too hot here! Something about smoking your own, makes it much more satisfying :)
