*** First Week Video Update was TOO LONG for grow diaries, find it HERE: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/201695050 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rJtao5pq7U *** Germinated on 12/10/23 via Rapid Rooters under a Super Sprouter dome w/ T5. Once rooted, Recharge & Mykos into .25L Superroots pots, with straight Happy Frog. Final containers will be 5 Gallon knockoff superroots, with Fox Farms Ocean Forest cut 22.5:5 gal with a little coir, then topped up to ~30% perlite. Using Nature's Living Soil amendments in the bottom third, this should be the "instant super soil" method. Aiming for water & compost tea only, planning to pick up a bag of castings and a gallon of molasses to go with the recharge, and either Nature's Living Soil or more likely BuildASoil's flower topdress formula at flip. If needed, I will get organic nutes, probably BuildASoil Craft Blend. Planning to get a hole punch for the plastic pots and do extensive LST via the 90-degree bend technique, culling vertical nodes and tying out horizontal branches for spacing. Went back into my past broadcasts for a week 1 clip. Was really busy, did not take macro photos of them up close as seedlings. Updates will happen live @ https://twitch.tv/jaindoh and be saved under my VOD highlights section. Aiming to make super introductory tutorials (as I am no Guru) and get constructive feedback on my techniques. Trying to convert smokers to growers!

Video is just a clip of me explaining how I use instant compost tea in a squirt bottle to saturate the soil slowly, as well as foliar. Photo is day 19. Had the carbon filter hooked up, but wasn't getting enough airflow through this one, so I took it down. Temps were 24-26C@70-75% RH and down to 21C@60-70% RH after removing the filter. Not much to show this early, but they're gorgeous already! Looking forward to this, Nirvana has always been a winner for me. Week 3 FULL Update Video on Youtube (Transplanting): http://tinyurl.com/95zk9srx Transplanted into final 5.4gal (knockoff) air pots. Mixed the super soil in. Forgot the mykos, but there should be plenty of activity with the mychorrhizae, and they didnt shock at all (my main reason for adding). I did put the mykos on the peat puck and in the small propagation pots, at least, so it should be innoculated. Watered in with, and then foliar with, activated and aerated Recharge. As noted in the video, I also forgot that these are symmetrical as theyre not clones, and did not orient the plants properly to make sure all the good horizontal branches were going to be horizontal. It'll be fine, but not absolutely ideal. Updates will happen live @ https://twitch.tv/jaindoh and be saved under my vod highlights. The plants are tied, main stem, horizontally now. I will be using 90 degree LST training, so the next step will be to space out the lower limbs that have been developing and HST them when I tie them down. Seem to be loving the FFOF, doubt they have reached the Nature's Living Soil in the bottom third. Going to look for earthworm castings and molasses to make better tea with the recharge, still haven't yet. Been actually PHing the recharge down with organic pH down and the ph spots have gone away. Not sure what impact it has on the life in it to go up to 8 while aerating and then back down to 6.3-6.8 but here we are. Week 6 day 2: Week 6 Video (Clock Dial LST Tech): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lz-Z-PbSFWk Tied the lower branches down to the rim of the pots to space them out for flowering and ensure flat, level canopy. Definitely going for at least 8 weeks, maybe 9-10, before the flip. Want to root out these 5.4 gallon air pots and see what kind of yield I can get. Removed first node of each branch entirely & a few scattered leaves now shading, topped all but 1 of the plants at the pot edge; A couple didn't quite make it that long because amazon decided to lose my soft ties and the wire ties cut through the stem. It'll be fine either way. Not happy with the runty two, but three out of five are gorgeous. Shame there's little point in keeping a clone mother with a 6 plant limit. Only Recharge once this week because I'm too snowed in to go get purified water; the PPM here is already 660-700, didn't want to add much to the water so I just put bio rhizotonic and pHed it. Been tightening the tiedowns every couple of days, most branches on all 5 plants have reached the edge of the pot, creating the canopy i want at the height i want. Going to give it a couple more weeks before flower, want to let them get real impressive. Very light defoliation due to how spread out the branches are, which makes me happy. Holding out for the pre-flip defoliation to really lollipop it, etc. Ran out of bottled water, been risking the 660ppm tap and plus 300 for recharge weekly. no problems so far. New 6" carbon filter (lol I left the 4" on and going too) and humidifier combine for really solid temp/humidity control. Probably going to leave the humidifier in until they start growing actual buds in like week 3 of flower, then put it nearby outside on a higher setting to avoid mold but try to keep it in accordance to vapor pressure deficit. Lowered the lights a bit cause theyre not jumping up vertically the way i thought they would. Can't find the tape measure, just the level, so it's just on eyeball for now. The runt is finally starting to need its branches tied down and gaining vegetative size as well. Still only has 2 branches tied, but its much less pitiful. It's benefiting well from all the foliar recharge/biorhizotonic i put on them... it always looked a little wilty even in perfect conditions, but less so now.

Installed my new TSL2000 this week, much more modern than the roleadros from '17 I was using. Loving them already. I have the driver outside the tent, which should help considerably with temps during flowering. Applied a bunch of worm castings to the top "mulch" inch of coconut coir. No perlite for that layer, but that's mosquito crumble spinosad to help against fungus gnats on top. Big re-training day, really widening and flattening them out even further -- reduced from ~6" to ~4". Defoliated to expose nodes. Had some yellow growth on the runt, so I got some organically sourced Iron Chelate. Want to give it a week or two to recover and for the plants to bush out.

Last Day of Veg! Figured out they were sad bc the light was too close, they had grown up out of their training further than I thought they had and I couldn't find a tape measure. Got that sorted, they're back happy, even the one that had been so sad. Adding cal-mag now. I have fresh castings and molasses and have been using recharge to make active aerated compost tea. Will make a batch with alfalfa meal in it when they get their growth spurt. Will re-arrange them for the light, increase the light to 18" and 75% once they get their growth spurt, trying to avoid sending them back into light stress. Have a lux meter on the way.

Big round of defoliation. Very excited to see stretch, they seem to have entered it after a few days delay. Been clearing up larf in rounds as well, they're not quite lollipopped but I've developed my colas. Most smaller tertiary branches are gone, unless theyre sturdy and not going to crowd. instead of completely removing offending tertiary branches, i have left a single node with a single growth tip on each to yield bud. Trying to remove only the weak, malformed growth and stuff that crowds.... want long, thick colas. Recharge, fresh Actively Aerated Compost Tea w/ alfalfa meal, organic cal mag only, sometimes just spring water and cal mag ph'd.

Let up all but a couple ties on each plant, definitely the mains are let off. Just kept a couple for airflow that will be unpinned eventually. Topped and supercropped a few taller branches to make the canopy even. Finished taking out the larf at the bottom, adjusted the lights brighter. Topdressed them with Build-A-Flower. Fed them their first non-casting fertilizer, Build-Bloom @ 1 tsp. http://twitch.tv/jaindoh

Got flowers. Adjusted the lights down to 18". Going to play it by ear, as the two in the corners aren't as happy as the others and I'm wondering if they can't handle the light currently. If good, will begin increasing the lamp from 75% of 300w to 100% gradually. Not impressed with FFOF+Nature's Living Soil supersoil amendment. Very impressed with BuildABloom.

Started to light burn them, backed the light off to 20" and set it back to 75% instead of 80-85. Rotated the plants so their least burnt spots were most central. Defoliated today. Will feed again tomorrow. Still learning how to take photos with my phone, apparently the macro mode fucks up the exposure. They're only at about 30,000 Lux (i dont have a ppfd meter). Apparently good genetics grown well can handle 45-60 during flower. Not a fan of not having had silica during their early veg due to amazon goofing, not a fan of their overall health in FFOF+Nature's Living Soil in the bottom third. I've ordered Fastbuds Banana Purple Punch seeds to try modern autoflowers, and plan on using buildasoil 3.0 and their nutrient plan for the next run.

Had some light potassium deficiency and continued magnesium deficiency despite adding the calmag so I doubled up on both of them. Defoliated, topdressed, backed the lights off because one of them is singed.

Trying to increase light now that they're all healthier again, without burning away the pretty blue color they're developing. Gave them their late-flower defoliation, will wait until finishing to cut all the leaves off. Still doubling calmag and buildabloom. buildabloom has epsom in it it turns out, so I'll stop doubling the calmag when I use it. Gonna water one more time and feed one more time. I dont think its a matter of flushing or not, I just dont think itll continue to uptake much.

Gonna let them bulk up a full 10 weeks I think. Just watching them, mostly. Fed them again, but not double dose. Moved the light up to 18", then gradually up to full dosage, Gonna let the weak plant get a little sunburn, but not for the entire grow period. Going to give them a full week on full blast, and then yank the lights a couple inches and back down to 75, to try to match the late stage DLI. Should hopefully save the terps at that point. Set up a 4" blower, now getting ~24.5-25C instead of 27-28.5C. aiming for 40% humidity I think now.
