Well anyone who knows me knows I am a Cookies fan, and even moreso for Gelato! Excited to grow this tester from Barney’s.
BLUE GELATO 41™️ is our sensational new Blueberry super-cross with the West Coast. She was created by crossing the famous Blueberry with Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies and the fresh and fruity Indica, Sunset Sherbert. BLUE GELATO 41™️ will rapidly plunge you into a tranquil pool of potent psychedelic pleasure. Many phenotypes display blue/purple flowers, all are smeared in thick resin and ooze sweet and earthy citrus flavours. Let this fabled Indica fascinate your taste buds and massage pain away leaving pure satisfaction and joy. Although Gelato’s aromas are wonderfully intoxicating, effects are generally clear headed and energetic. Flowering time indoors is 9 to 10 weeks; outdoors BLUE GELATO 41™️ can reach up to 2 metres, normally finishing in October. Expect an exceptional yield! With stretched pre-flowering can deliver up to 3kg of breathtaking bud.
Under 65 W Hlg quantum board. Lowered light and hours of light last week. Got a little stretchy so hoping this will fill out a link more width wise with a closer light.
I’m loving this plant! It’s so strong and easy to train. No nutrients this week as she looks very green. I’m using a lot less water and getting much better results!
It’s a girl!
What I have noticed is that oxygen makes a huge difference on the plants and the roots. Fans on the leaves, smaller pots, loose soil, with lots of perlite or pumice, and they need very little water. I’m watering maybe 8 oz/week and they are about to take off. I am bending them all a little daily, and it’s really worth a little effort. You will see the plant respond and learn more about it. If you cut lengths of soft costed wire first about half the diameter of the pot, smoke, and have a seat and really look at the plant.
You can often find soft coated gardening wire at Dollar Tree.
I will order new grow through rings for the 3 gallon pots.
We now have 8 mains and I will flip lights to 12/12 when they reach around 18.
Going to let this one dry out well and as she’s got swollen leaf cells. I may use some enzymes.
Training is done.
Gently opening apical leaves to encourage stacking.
Added swamp cooler as air has been way too dry, plus it helps keep the space closer to 70
This plant got overwatered. I lifted her out into a slightly larger air pot, filled with dry soil, perlite and mycorrhizae/microbes. I flushed with enzymes last week. The roots looked healthy but maybe a bit packed.
I’m starting to wonder if it’s me and blueberry strains.
